Last session people asked why there was no short item before the Dinner Break, to whet their appetites. So this week we will preview “Sushi Police”. I don’t actually have any more episodes (yet), which I will leave to you to determine if that is good or bad.

Synopsis

Fairy Tail 2014

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episodes: “The Kingdom ’til Tomorrow“

The Grand Magic Games continue, and a 3-way battle develops between Erza of Fairy Tail, Kagura of Mermaid’s Heel, and Minerva of SaberTooth. Meanwhile Natsu and company have almost reached the exit to the underground labyrinthine prison, but there is one last surprise waiting for them.

Shirobako (White Box)

Aoi Miyamori and her four friends made up the Animation club at their high school, and all five of them aimed to go into the Anime industry after graduation. Now Aoi, like her friends, has made her dream come true. She works for Musashino Animation, a little studio in Tokyo. The job comes with all sorts of challenges and stresses but Aoi wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t something she wanted to do.

It is the New Year and Exodus has been successfully completed. Now for a new project, this time based on an existing manga, along with staff changes.

Noragami Aragoto

Hiyori Iki continues to interact with the world of gods, and in particular the still-homeless war god Yato and his divine instrument Yuki. Yato still hasn’t fulfilled his promise to re-attach her loose soul, and it may not happen anytime soon now. Because the war god Bishamon is back, and she still has an axe to grind with Yato. And she’s not the only one looking to meddle in Yato’s affairs…

Tonight’s Episodes: “One of Her Memories

Bishamon has lost one of her regalia, and is losing the respect of the rest. This is but the first step of the unknown attacker to bring down her enemy Yato.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, Season 2 (Assassination Classroom, Season 2)

The 10 billion yen bounty on the head of supersonic, tentacled schoolteacher Koro-sensei remains unclaimed. Despite the best efforts of everyone involved. The students of class 3E are still training to assassinate their teacher, in between getting an education and all sorts of valuable life lessons from him. But will they manage to do it before this overgrown, yellow octopus carries out his threat to destroy the entire world?

Tonight’s Episodes: “Summer Festival Time”

Before the end of Class 3-E’s summer vacation at the island resort, Koro-sensei puts on a test of courage in the hopes of pairing up his students into romantic couples he can get juicy gossip on. Though this soon backfires on him, both Koro-sensei and the class quickly notice that Irina has feelings towards Karasuma and decide to try and get them together.

Charlotte

Otosaka Yuu has the ability to take over other people’s bodies, albeit only for a few seconds. Limited though this super power is Yuu intended to exploit it for his own benefit, but his efforts only served to attract the attention of other teenagers with strange powers. Now Otosaka Yuu is an, unwilling, student at Hoshi no Umi Academy. A school created to keep people like him out of trouble … but also to keep them safe.

Tonight’s Episodes: “Melody of Despair”

Otosaka Yuu has been forcibly recruited into Hoshi no Umi Academy due to his paranormal abilities. But angry as he is, his first day as a conscripted student council member reveals a more sympathetic side to the rest of the student council.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Shirou Emiya, a high school student and amateur magus living in Fuyuki City, finds himself a participant in the Fifth Holy Grail War. A secret tournament between mages and their servants, reincarnated heroes and legendary figures, to claim the Holy Grail; a chalice that can grant any wish.

Tonight’s Episode: “Answer“

Shirou and Archer continue their battle, the idealist facing the future who was betrayed by the ideal.

Sidonia no Kishi: Daikyuu Wakusei Seneki (Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine)

The colony ship Sidonia continues its journey through the region of space controlled by the titanic and almost indestructible Gauna. Ace pilot, and former scavenger, Nagate Tanikaze now leads the defense of his home, aided by an upgraded arsenal of weapons for the Gardes mecha that he and the other pilots fly. But it is still a dangerous task, and the Gauna may not be the only problem. The immortal leaders of Sidonia’s populace have their own power struggles and plans for the ship and its population. And there is also the fragment of a Gauna kept in Sidonia’s research lab … which took the shape of Tanikaze’s deceased fellow pilot Shizuka

Tonight’s Episodes: “Ability”

Battling a nigh-invulnerable Gauna, Nagate and his squad mates are surpised by the arrival of another Gauna, this one that seeks to aid them. What strangeness is this?

Amagi Brilliant Park mini-theatre – Graffiti Backstage

Last year we screened Amagi Brilliant Park, where the employees are really refugees from a magical world, who need to make the park a success or risk losing all. Sometimes they are their own worst enemies. A background look at some of the events from the series.

Kanie got the female staff in bikinis to help promote the park. Moffle is not to be outdone.

Preview Item – Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru (A Corpse is Buried Under Sakurako’s Feet)

Tatewaki Shoutarou has a life outside his high school, one that makes the drama and socialising of his peers seem far less important to him. He assists Sakurako Kujou, an unsociable and obsessive collector of bones and the niece of a prominent forensic scientist. But this eccentric isn’t just interested in bones, she is an expert in them. When she and Shotaro go out collecting, they seem to have a knack for finding human remains, and Sakurako’s keen eye and forensic knowledge can quickly tell what befell the previous owner of the latest set of bones she has become obsessed with.

Tonight’s Episodes: “The Princess Who Loves Bones”

Shoutarou travels to the beach with Sakurako, the promise of a great dinner in exchange for digging up some great bones. A discovery leads them to investigate an apparent double suicide.

Death Parade

The Quindecim is a bar, accessible only by a pair of elevators. Within this stately and impressive establishment the bar is tended by a man known as Dequim, with the assistance of a small but skilled staff. No one comes here alone, and no one remembers how they ended up here … at first. But the result is always the same; the guests must play a game against each other, and the stakes could not be higher.

Tonight’s Episode: “Death Reverse“

A black-haired woman with no name or memory is taken by a girl named Nona to the Quindecim, where she and Decim hire her as an assistant. Nona takes the woman backstage to observe the darts game between Machiko and Takashi, explaining the nature behind the games. Last session’s episode as seen from the view-point of the new assistant.

The Four Lords of Havoc threaten the world. These seemingly unbeatable generals seek the four seals that restrain the god of destruction, so they can use its power to fulfil their desire for world conquest. There seems to be only one way to thwart the ambitions of the Lords of Havoc; revive the spirit of Dark Schneider, the greatest wizard the world has ever known, who currently resides within the body of an innocent boy. But will awakening a power hungry and lecherous man who once tried to conquer the entire world, just as the Lords of Havoc now seek to do, actually help?

Ninja Master Gara of the Four Lords of Havoc travels to the kingdom of Meta-licana to find who cast Dark Schneider’s signature spell “Venom”. He manages to abscond with Yoko back to his Ninja fortress, but Yoko’s loved ones want her back. One simply does not enter through the front door of a ninja fortress.
