Weekly Bulletin for Saturday 10th October, 2015

Below is the program for October 10th, 2015.

We are now noticeably past the Spring Equinox, so once again we rail against our old enemy the sun, as it seeks to brighten the hall. Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic (Kiniro Mosaic, Season 2)

It’s Alice’s second year in Japan. Her second year living with Shino, going to school with Shino and being with Shino and all her other friends in Japan. It’s time for another year of fun.

Tonight’s Episodes:Almost Summer Vacation

After Karen spends the night at Shino’s place due to a fight with her dad over a necklace, Alice pushes her to patch things up with her father. The friendship between the two girls is quite strong, before they came to Japan it was Alice that found Karen after she slipped off a bridge and sprained her ankle. But right now it’s summer, and that means it’s time to decide what they will do during their vacation. And Karen and Youko have different ideas once again.

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episodes:The Dragon King

Things are coming to a head at the end of the fourth day of the Grand Magic Games. Natsu defeated the twin Dragon Slayers of Sabertooth, pushing Fairy Tail to first place. In trying to climb out of the hole in the stadium their battle created, the tricked and abandoned Gajeel stumbled across a massive dragon graveyard. Yukino, the celestial mage thrown out of Sabertooth, has joined Guard Captain Arcadios in his Eclipse plan, believing it will save the world. And Jellal pursues the mystery figure that radiates Zeref’s magic … a figure that shed tears at Natsu’s battle.

Preview – Charlotte

Otosaka Yuu has the ability to take over other people’s bodies, albeit only for a few seconds. Limited though this super power is Yuu intended to exploit it for his own benefit, but his efforts only served to attract the attention of other teenagers with strange powers. Now Otosaka Yuu is an, unwilling, student at Hoshi no Umi Academy. A school created to keep people like him out of trouble … but also to keep them safe.

Tonight’s Episodes:I Think of Someone Else

It was in the process of pondering philosophy that Otosaka Yuu discovered that by thinking about another person he could momentarily take control of that person. For a long time this strange power of his seemed to have no really practical uses, until it came time for his High School Entrance exams. And suddenly being able to look through the eyes of another, even if only for a few seconds, became his path to wealth and privilege …

Shirobako (White Box)

Aoi Miyamori and her four friends made up the Animation club at their high school, and all five of them aimed to go into the Anime industry after graduation. Now Aoi, like her friends, has made her dream come true. She works for Musashino Animation, a little studio in Tokyo. The job comes with all sorts of challenges and stresses but Aoi wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t something she wanted to do.

Tonight’s Episodes:Those Who Blame Others Should Just Quit!

After a pleasant evening out with her high school friends Aoi returns to the office to receive quite a shock. Fellow PA Takanashi contacted her twice during the evening to ask for help, but was his usual tactless self and thus got nothing from her. Now she gets to see the fallout of the mess he seems to have created the previous night… Endou Ryousuke, the animation director for Episode 8 of Exodus, is quitting.

Log Horizon 2

Life continues for Shiroe and the others trapped within the world of Elder Tale. The city of Akihabara is now prosperous and thriving thanks to the efforts and innovations of the adventurers. But prosperity does not guarantee safety, Shiroe’s skills have already been tested against the nefarious Nureha and her guild Plant Hwyaden, and now he must find a way to secure Akihabara’s future against those who would seek to claim it for themselves.

Tonight’s Episodes:Isaac and Iselus

Whilst the Black Sword Knights train the army of Maihama, and their guildmaster Isaac babysits Princess Lenissia’s younger brother Iselus, Shiroe reveals the contents of Roe-2’s letter to the senior members of Log Horizon. Her kind are from another world, here to harvest resources. Although she now realizes sentient beings live here, and thus her society has no right to those resources, their unreasoning harvesters, the so-called “geniuses”, have already been let loose. And whilst Roe-2’s home base may be able to offer a clue to returning to Earth, her home base is on the moon.

Amagi Brilliant Park

Amagi Brilliant Park is an amusement park, a place of magical wonder and whimsy. Or at least it’s supposed to be. The park has fallen on hard times and that’s bad news for the staff. Who genuinely are magical. There’s no place for these oddballs from a fantasy world except an amusement park, so they need theirs to stay open. That’s where Kanie Seiya comes in, a pompous high school student and burned out child star is the perfect person to manage this particular mad-house.

Tonight’s Episodes:Nothing to Worry About!

The issue that Moffle and Isuzu have avoided bringing up has finally been revealed to Kanie. Princess Latifa labours under a curse from a vengeful wizard that resets her body and memories every year on August 1st whilst constantly draining her of Animus, the life-energy of Maple Landers that is produced by normal people’s sense of wonder and enjoyment. Amagi Brilliant Park isn’t just a refuge for its Maple Land residents, it’s the only thing keeping the princess alive. But just when all hope seemed lost, Tricon has come through. They might just have a way to make their 500,000 visitor quota …

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom)

The students of Class 3E are the lost causes of Kunugigaoka Junior High. But they have been given one last chance to redeem themselves. Their new teacher is not human, he’s a monster that blew a hole through the moon and now threatens to do the same to Earth in twelve months’ time. If the students can manage to kill him before then, they get 10 billion yen and the gratitude of the worlds’ governments. So, it’s time to assassinate the teacher! Which is kind of a shame, because he’s a really good teacher.

Tonight’s Episodes:Talent Time

With both Koro-sensei and the nefarious Principal Asano using the exhibition baseball match as the field for their latest ‘duel’, the game got pretty crazy. But in the end, Koro-sensei was able to pull out a win for Class E over the school’s official baseball team, much to the rest of the school’s disgust. This makes it one all between Koro-sensei and the principal; a loss in the midterm exams and a win in the exhibition baseball match. The decider will be the end-of-year exams. For now though, it’s back to assassination training.

Akame ga Kill (Red-Eye Kill)

Tatsumi was hoping to find enough money in the capital to save his poverty stricken village, what he found instead was corruption and slaughter. The prime minister is the power behind the throne, manipulating the infant emperor for his own gain, and the common folk of the empire suffer under his reign. A group of assassins known as Night Raid prowl the city, leaving a trail of corpses in their wake. But as Tatsumi quickly discovers, they may be the only hope the empire has.

Tonight’s Episode:Kill the Curse

Night Raid’s battle strategy of separating Esdeath from Kurome in order to eliminate Akame’s little sister is not going well. Kurome’s Imperial Arm gives her access to multiple undead servants of power equal to what Night Raid is able to put forth. Plus she was not alone. There was Wave, who protected her from an initial strike by Susanoo and got flung far from the battle. And there is Bols who drew Akame and Leonne off from the main battle, and has now blown up his damaged Imperial Arm Rubicante in an attempt to take out his opponents.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Shirou Emiya, a high school student and amateur magus living in Fuyuki City, finds himself a participant in the Fifth Holy Grail War. A secret tournament between mages and their servants, reincarnated heroes and legendary figures, to claim the Holy Grail; a chalice that can grant any wish.

Tonight’s Episode:Time of Departure

After trapping Shirou, Rin and Saber inside a magical circle, Caster reveals she has taken Taiga hostage. She also reveals she has a way to cheat in the Holy Grail war. Saber tries to intervene and Caster uses her Noble Phantasm “Rule Breaker” to steal Shirou’s command seals and thus take control of Saber. Having finished with Shirou Caster now moves on Kirei’s church, where she attacks Kirei in an effort to locate the Lesser Grail. Whilst Rin tells Shirou that without a Servant, he no longer has any part to play in this conflict.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken (JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure)

The Joestar’s are a wealthy English family, but one with a dark fate. Ever since the days of Jonathon Joestar and his adopted brother Dio Brando, and the succession struggle that came about from Dio’s greed, the Joestar family line has found itself embroiled in supernatural horror and world-threatening ambition. And it always falls to the current Jojo, whomever it may be, to stop the madness.

Tonight’s Episode:The Final Hamon!

The climactic battle with Dio was nearly the end of Jojo. With Dio constantly freezing himself and Jojo to prevent the flow of Hamon, and Dio’s army of zombies keeping anyone else from helping in the battle. In the end, however, the presence of an open flame provided a means to melt Dio’s ice and open him up to attack. Poco’s sister has been saved, Dio and his army of zombie minions has been wiped out. The heroes are victorious and can now live happily ever after …?
