Synopsis

Hyouka

Unable to say no to his elder sister, Oreki Hotaro joins his school’s
Classic Literature Club to prevent it from being shut down. And despite his
earnest desire to avoid expending any energy at all, the other members of the
club will drag him along on all manner of mysteries. Making good use of the
deductive skills he refuses to believe he possesses.

Tonight’s Episode: “Anyone Who Knows” & “Sappy New Year”

After finishing an exam, Hotaro is relaxing in the Classics Club’s room with Chitanda. Idle conversation turns to the funeral of Chitanda’s uncle, who was the impetus for their first big investigation. Chitanda takes the opportunity to praise Hotaro’s deductive skills, Hotaro insists it was just luck. When words fail to change Chitanda’s opinion about his talent, or lack thereof, Hotaro instead challenges her to test his skills. Just as Chitanda is looking about the club room for a suitable test, there is an intriguing announcement over the PA system …

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous
mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the
residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of
course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having
fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “Dragon Sense”

The Lacrima has been stopped and Mystogan has finally shown himself again, as well as revealing his true identity as the Edolas version of Jellal. But the heart-warming reunions are quickly put to a stop, the Edolas army has launched a surprise attack and Nightwalker is leading the assault. Mystogan tries to stifle the assault by invoking his authority as prince, but the King has also made his move and there is no love in his heart for his estranged son. Indeed, there is no compassion in him for any that oppose him …

Uchyuu Kyoudai (Space Brothers)

As kids Muta and Hibito Nanba made a promise, that they would both become
astronauts. 19 years later Hibito is on the verge of fulfilling that promise
but Muta is not doing nearly so well, that is until he is accepted into the
astronaut training program.

Tonight’s Episode: “Ka-pe! Kenji!”

There is only two days left until the end of the third exam, and the Green Cards are in full effect. Mutta has the advantage of knowing what the Green Cards are and as a result stress levels in Team A have been kept down. In the slightly more stressed Team B, Kenji has persevered with the all-white jigsaw puzzle despite that test having finished days ago. When asked how he can keep at it Kenji recalls when he was proselytized by a new-age meteorite-based cult and rather than just let it go he undermined their ideas with scientific, technical questions.

Hataraku Maou Sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer)

Having been thwarted in his attempts to conquer Ente Isla, the mighty demon
lord Satan escapes through a portal with his general Alsiel… And winds up in
modern day Tokyo with very little magical power left. His resources for world
domination now consist of a tiny rented apartment and a job at a fast food
restaurant.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Hero Feels Kindness In Her Heart”

Chiho was right, there has been an earthquake. It occurred right where she and Mao were meeting, trapping both of them underground along with Emilia and Ashiya, who were secretly following them. But now Emilia is faced with an even less believable scene. Mao has returned to his demonic form and is using his powers to protect the people trapped underground with them. For Emilia the situation is especially jarring, because she knows Mao from Ente Isla … she remembers growing up with the Demon Lord and the pain and suffering his war caused.

Suisei no Gargantia (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet)

Galactic Alliance soldier Ledo faces a huge change in lifestyle and outlook
when he is separated from his comrades and forced to make his way aboard the
Gargantia, a floating city greatly removed from both the technology and the
concerns of his home.

Tonight’s Episode: “Day of Calm”

Ledo is converting his second Hideauze tooth into a flute. He thinks back to his meeting with Bevel, when he had no answer for what to do once the war with the Hideauze was over. He asks Chamber to search for work he can do on Gargantia, but Chamber lacks the details to find a suitable job. Amy arrives with Ledo’s wages from all the cargo hauling and Ledo asks her for help finding a job. Amy herself delivers letters and packages around Gargantia. After some discussion she decides to take Ledo with her on her rounds and see if they can find a job for him.

Sword Art Online

VR technology has made full-immersion video games possible, and the latest
and greatest is Sword Art Online. But the players who logged in on the first
day find that logging back out may be a lot harder, and the challenges of the
game more than they bargained for.

Tonight’s Episode: “Captive Queen”

Although he hasn’t mastered flight, Kirito’s combat skills are just as good as they were in Sword Art Online. He quickly dispenses two of the three Salamander assailants, and the third wisely chooses not to fight. Kirito and the remaining Sylph, who identifies herself as Leafa, sound each other out, with Yui giving an unexpected outburst. As thanks for saving her, Leafa fills Kirito in on some of the details of Alfheim Online, including how to fly unassisted.

Shin Sekai Yori (From the New World)

A thousand years into the future all mankind possesses psychic powers, and
the people live in idyllic splendor. But the path that led to this tranquil
life was not so perfect, and the world that Saki and her friends live in may
not be as gentle and pleasant as it seems.

Tonight’s Episode: “A Crimson Flower”

As she sits listening to Satoru’s report, Saki reflects on how gaining their Cantus strips the people of her village of most of their fears. The Giant Hornets were annihilated in their battle. All losses were on their side, not a single fallen soldier was from the Robber Fly colony. The question arises, how did the far smaller Robber Fly colony manage this victory? Sometime later, Saki and Satoru are enjoying the festivities at the village. Saki’s mind wanders first to memories of festivals she attended with Maria and then to the discussions over the Robber Fly victory.

Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)

The entirety of mankind lives encased within a series of fortified walls
which protect them from the Titans. giant humanoid monsters who devour people, that roam the world beyond the outer wall. But now, after nearly a hundred years of relative safety, new Titans have appeared.The security of the walls is a thing of the past, and mankind may be facing extinction.

Tonight’s Episode: “Response: Battle of Trost – Part 6”

Eren has recovered his senses and found himself back inside the walls, with Armin and Mikasa standing between him and a lot of edgy soldiers with cannon and guns. The commander, the same one who retreated from Trost’s Supply Depot leaving it to fall to the Titans, now gives the order to execute them. For the other surviving cadets, the full weight of what has happened, and what a future in the army holds, is beginning to sink in. Some are beginning to crack under the pressure. As for Jean and the other witnesses of Eren’s power, they have been ordered to remain silent.

Psycho-Pass

In a future where the psychological profiling system Sybil determines your place in society, or your removal for the good of society, new police force recruit Akane Tsunemori finds herself facing both the challenge of catching madmen loose in society, and of working alongside those deemed half mad already. All the while dealing with the consequences of a society that will lock you up or kill you for thinking bad thoughts…

Tonight’s Episode: “Saint’s Supper”

Akane and Masaoka are running through the underground access tunnels, looking for any sign of Kougami, whilst Ginoza and the others search for whatever is jamming their radio transmissions. Meanwhile Kougami is trying to turn the tables on the man, and robotic dogs, hunting him and Yuki. Senguji is annoyed by all the sneaking about that Kougami and Yuki are doing, but before he can get a bead on him a police drone shows up. Kagari tracks down the signal jammer and Kougami reaches the police drone and manages to grab his Dominator, his odds have now improved.
