No Screening this Saturday, 6th January 2024

No JAFWA screening until we return on Saturday 13th January 2024!

Salutations and Felicitations as we leave the year 2023 and leap into 2024!

Or as the Japanese are want to cry forth “Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu!” on this most solemn and important occasion.

JAFWA wishes you a fortuitous and pleasant Happy New Year for this turning of the calendar.
Please keep Safe during the various celebrations you partake in.

For a brief time at various cinemas you can find “Godzilla: Minus One”, as well as the most recent Studio Ghibli movie “The Boy and the Heron” (choose carefully for Japanese with subs, or settle for the dubbed into English version).

When JAFWA returns in 2024, we hope to have a program of interest to entice you back. While we continue on some regular series from 2023, there is 4 1/2 new regular series starting in January (not quite certain whether to classify the second season of “Witch From Mercury” as a new regular series)
