No Screening this Saturday, 2nd December 2023

No JAFWA screening until Saturday 9^th December 2023!

JAFWA is sort of taking its regular break from Screening this Saturday, though some of us will be doing JAFWA related stuff. We wish to be refreshed when we return in December for the final screening of 2023.

Currently at various cinemas is “Digimon Adventures 2 – The Beginning”. Come Thursday, “Godzilla: minus One” roars into cinema screens. And later in December is the the most recent Studio Ghibli movie “The Boy and the heron”.

When JAFWA returns on the 9^th we will have an irregular program full of audience requested items, including a theatrical length movie. I find myself disappointed that that there isn’t a single Christmas episode of “Tokyo Revengers”, but live in hope that we may screen the second series of “Tokyo Revengers” (known as the “Christmas Showdown” arc) in 2024.

Dates of Interest

presuming an outbreak of the Pandemic progression does not cause this to cancel.

• Saturday December 9^th 2023 — JAFWA’s final screening for 2023 before we take a holiday. This will be a normal length screening with an irregular program. We request that you, the audience, suggest anime items for inclusion in that night’s program.
• Saturday December 16^th 2023 — JAFWA doing a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle down at Cannington.
• Saturday January 13^th 2024 — JAFWA’s screening resume in 2024.
