No Screening this Saturday, 4th October 2023

No JAFWA screening until Saturday 11th November 2023!

JAFWA is sort of taking its regular break from Screening this Saturday, though some of us will be doing JAFWA related stuff. We wish to be refreshed when we return in November proper.

However, if you need some fannish activity this coming weekend, over at the Perth Convention Centre you will find Kai-Con 2023 in full swing, with JAFWA running the anime stream in the cool-down area.
JAFWA is also doing a raffle, with two huge gift baskets of cool stuff for 1st and 2nd prize. Limited tickets available at the Convention.

When JAFWA returns on the 11th we will be previewing a couple of new episodes that might become regular items in 2024. The first is called “MF Ghost”, which appears to be the spiritual successor to “Initial D” that we screened at JAFWA so many years ago. The second preview episode will be a double length episode.

We are still trying to fill the program for the final screening of 2023 in December. What do you want to see?
Last session somebody wrote in the Suggestion:

TOKYO REVENGERS OAV (its a Christmas Ep)

I for one think this is an excellent suggestion, and I am in the process of trying to track down this episode.
