Below is the program for the evening of April 22^nd, 2017.
Hopefully we have all returned from the long weekend, without gaining any added diabetes.

Tonight we will be starting several new shows.
As voted in during the last special survey, tonight we commence regular screening of the TV series version of “Little Witch Academia”.
Before the Dinner Break we will also have a new 3 minute fast paced distraction called “Bernard Jou Iwaku”.
And after the Dinner Break in the retro show slot, we will repeat an old favourite , the original “Tenchi Muyou”. However, to help remind the wander of what could be, just before Tenchi we will have the one shot “Robot Town Sagami 2028”.
Not to mention a preview item, the first episode of “Clockwork Planet”. Wee!

Synopsis

Akagami no Shirayukihime – (Shirayuki (“Snow white”) princess of the red hair)

Shirayuki is a young pharmacist from the kingdom of Tanbarun who is cheerful, spirited and dedicated to her job. She also has brilliant red hair, which is very rare. When the first prince of Tanbarun decides to claim her unique beauty for himself, Shirayuki flees to the neighbouring kingdom of Clarines to start her life over. There may be eccentric nobility here as well, but there are also friends, and at least she can do her job.

This evening’s Episode: “Wave of Determination”

Shirayuki and her kidnapper Kazuki, have in turn been captured by the notorious Claw of the Sea pirates. Prince Zen and company have encountered vigilante group Lions of the Mountain. While Kiki informs Shirayuki and Kazuki of the situation, Zen and the others all work to prepare to rescue them. Raji and his men go out to sea and soon confront the Claw of the Sea Pirates.

Little Witch Academia TV

Akko Kagari enrolls into Luna Nova Academy, a school for young witches, after being inspired at a young age by a witch named Shiny Chariot, and often spends her days hanging with her classmates, Lotte and Sucy. However, she has trouble paying attention in class, doesn’t know how to ride her broom, and is often looked down upon for admiring Chariot, whom many believe gives the wrong impression about witches.

This evening’s Episode: “A New Beginning”

Having been inspired by the illusory magic of the performing witch, Shiny Chariot, Atsuko “Akko” Kagari decides to enroll at Luna Nova Magical Academy, where Shiny Chariot studied. On her way to the school, she gets teased by the other students, who mock her non-magical bloodline. Unable to fly on a broom through a leyline leading to Luna Nova, Akko manages to get a lift from another new student, Lotte Yanson. However, she and Lotte, along with another witch named Sucy Manbavaran, end up falling out of the leyline into the forbidden Arcturus Forest.

Amaama to Inazuma (Sweetness and Lightning)

Kouhei Inuzuka is a teacher and a recent widower, raising his young daughter alone. With a full time job keeping him busy, little Tsumugi has been getting mostly pre-packaged meals. But a chance encounter with one of his students, Kotori Iida, leads Kohei to take up cooking in order to provide proper meals for his daughter.

This evening’s Episode: “A Play and Sweet Potato Crêpes”

When Kouhei’s class ends up competing with another class doing a crêpe stand at the upcoming cultural festival, the students turn to Kotori for menu ideas. Meanwhile, Tsumugi becomes downhearted when her classmate Hana calls her weird for wanting to play a mascot character in a class play.

retro series – Tenchi Muyou – Ryoo-oki (No need for Tenchi)

Tenchi Masaki appears to be an average high school student. But opening a forbidden chamber in his grandfather’s temple results in his life becoming complicated by several otherworldy female beauties, few of whom have friendly regards. From the people who worked on Bubblegum Crisis who asked what if Mackey (Sylia’s brother) was a main character, reversing the Bubblegum scenario.

This evening’s Episode: “Ryoko Resurrected”

It is the summer holidays and high school student Tenchi Masaki is helping out at his grandfather’s shrine. But what he really wants to do is find the keys to the forbidden shrine, where supposedly an Oni from 700 years ago lies sealed.

Ore Monogatari! (My Love Story!)

Takeo Gouda is tall. No, Takeo Gouda is huge. He’s a high-schooler in a giant’s body. That’s been great for all the school sporting clubs he was part of, but less useful in his attempts to find love. But the real problem there is his handsome best friend Makoto Sunakawa, who ends up getting confessions from everyone Takeo likes. In fact it happens so often Takeo now expects it. And then one day, quite by accident, Takeo meets Rinko Yamato …

This evening’s Episode: “My Mom”

Takeo’s mother Yuriko is nearing term for her pregnancy, giving her a chance to swap baby stories about Takeo with his girlfriend Rinko.

At an unspecified point in the future, the Earth dies. Then, a genius engineer only known as “Y” manages to revive the Earth using only gears and clockwork. Thus the world is renamed “Clockwork Planet”, with cities being built inside the planet’s gears. A thousand years later Naoto Miura, a student and lover of machines living in the Kyoto gear, encounters a magnificent automaton, and the stage is set for them to become the world’s most infamous terrorists.

This evening’s Episode: “Gear of Destiny”

A month after student Naoto Miura fixes a broken automaton that fell through his roof, he, the automaton RyuZU , a master engineer and her bodyguard have become wanted terrorists for fixing what has been declared politically non-fixable. The powers that be don’t like the cogs in the machine to escape their role, and try to fix the machine.

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (Yamada and the Seven Witches)

Ryuu Yamada’s, well deserved, reputation as a delinquent is no longer his biggest problem. After an accident on the stairs causes himself and the school’s top student Urara Shiraishi to swap bodies, the discovery of this strange ability makes his life a great deal more complicated. But for the gruff, friendless Yamada, spending some time literally in other people’s shoes might not be such a bad thing.

Tonight’s Episode: “You’re So Annoying”

The student council president has tasked the Supernatural Studies Club with preventing 3 trouble-making students from upsetting the cultural festival. For the 3 troublemakers are under the control of the next witch, the one with the power to see the past.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Re: Life in a Different World from Zero)

Being teleported to a fantasy world means you’re the chosen one, right? Natsuki Subaru certainly thought so, but it seems he’s not the fated hero, he’s just another guy in a world full of wizards, warriors and demi-humans. Still, there are decent people in this world and Subaru quickly finds people willing to lend him a hand, people he wants to help in return. But how can a mere high school student hope to challenge the monstrous and magical forces of this world? After all he only gets one shot at this, right?

Tonight’s Episode: “Battle Against the White Whale”

Re-invogorated, Natsuki heads off to save the Roswaal mansion inhabitants from the Witch Cult’s impending massacre. However, he knows from previous attempts that the White Whale needs to be defeated first, so he will need to raise an army.

Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) season 2

The entirety of mankind lives encased within a series of fortified walls which protect them from the Titans, giant humanoid monsters who devour people, that roam the world beyond the outer wall. But now, after nearly a hundred years of relative safety, new Titans have appeared. The security of the walls is a thing of the past, and mankind may be facing extinction.

Tonight’s Episode: “I’m Home”

Hange and Armin deduce that the Titans encased within the walls provide its strength. The Survey Corps depart from Stohess to deal with the Titans that appeared inside Wall Rose, and Hange takes Pastor Nick along intending to gain more information from him. Meanwhile, Sasha and Connie both rush to warn their respective villages of the approaching titans.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken – Stardust Crusaders (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure – Stardust Crusaders)

It’s 1989. Fifty odd years have passed since Joseph Joestar did battle with the immortal Pillar Men and now his Japanese grandson, Jotaro Kujo, finds his life turned upside down. A strange new ability awakens within his bloodline, granting him great power but threatening to kill his mother.

Tonight’s Episode: “Anubis, part 2”

Polnareff’s shave comes a little too close as the Anubis Stand in the blade has possessed another wielder, and this time Anubis knows all of Polnareff’s moves, and has counters. Even with Jotaro’s aid, things look grim. Especially if one of them should pick up the sword.
