It must be Winter, for I feel cold. We have sort of a replacement for “Sushi Police”. Hopefully you will accept this little item.

Though the JAFWA screening proves to be a good port of call in this inclement weather, do not trust that your love of exciting anime will heat your blood enough. Remember to bring enough warm clothing, as the club’s heaters struggle to keep the Hall at a comfortable temperature.

Again we would like to thank Lotteries West, who are preparing to provide us with a grant to continue our good work.

Fairy Tail second series

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episodes:Time of Life

One by one the members of Fairy Tail and the allied magical guilds fall in the battle against the dragons from another era. Who shall survive? Ultear seeks a dark path to hopefully change the future, but can she achieve it, even at the cost of her own life? Meanwhile Lucy may have found a clue to winning, if only she can reach the right allies.

Flying Witch

The cheerful and pleasant Kowata Makoto has come to Aomori to complete high school. She will be boarding with her cousin Muramoto Kei. Nothing unusual there right? Well, not quite. Because Makoto isn’t the normal girl she appears to be. Makoto is a witch, and she is going to bring some of the magic of the witching world to her new home.

Tonight’s Episodes:How to Use Your Familiar

Chinatsu takes the opportunity to stealthily discover what Makoto’s black cat familiar Chiito does all day.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, Season 2 (Assassination Classroom, Season 2)

The 10 billion yen bounty on the head of supersonic, tentacled schoolteacher Koro-sensei remains unclaimed. Despite the best efforts of everyone involved. The students of class 3E are still training to assassinate their teacher, in between getting an education and all sorts of valuable life lessons from him. But will they manage to do it before this overgrown, yellow octopus carries out his threat to destroy the entire world?

Tonight’s Episodes:Confession Time

Kaede has revealed her carefully and painfully held secret as she attempts to assassinate Koro-sensei. But Nagisa is determined to save his classmate Kaede, no matter what. Will they ever learn Koro-sensei’s shameful and dreadful past, and if they ever do, can they accept him as their teacher ever again?

Retro Show from 2000: FLCL

12-year old Nandaba Naota lives in the city of Mabase with his widowed father and grandfather. His hometown is a fairly ordinary place, apart from the giant factory shaped like a steam iron up on the hill, where nothing special ever happens. That is until the day a woman on a Vespa scooter runs him down, revives him, and then bashes him in the head with a guitar … after that things start to get weird.

Tonight’s Episodes:FLCLimax

Haruko’s attempt to free the great space pirate Atomsk has provoked Medica Machina to move against the Earth. Only a last minute superhuman effort halted the Medica Machina agent, petrifying it as a giant hand. But where is the core unit that drove it? What will Naota do now that he knows that Haruko was merely using him? Can Commander Amarao regain control and bring peace and order back to Mabase town? Will Mamimi get over Naoto’s older brother and stop compensating by naming everything that grabs her interest “Tak-kun”? Perhaps these and other questions may be answered in the thrilling climax.

Gate: Jieitai Kano Chi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri (Gate: The Self Defence Forces Fight Like This in That Place)

Youji Itami is a 33-year old otaku. He loves anime and does his best to never miss a convention or product sale. Youji is also a member of Japan’s Self Defence Force. After an invasion of Tokyo from an alternate universe, Youji’s unit is sent through the gateway to this alternate dimension to push back the invaders, taking him away from his beloved anime and manga. But maybe this won’t be all bad … because this parallel universe is straight out of a fantasy manga.

Tonight’s Episodes:The Battle of Italica

In order to understand the local economy and make the refugees more self-sufficient, the 3rd Recon Unit goes on a trading mission to the small city of Italica. Where they find Princess Pina barely holding off an assault by a large force of bandits. Can the JSDF invaders from Alnus Hill be trusted to aid the besieged city? Can Lt Youji Itami avoid being recalled to Tokyo to answer questions from the Japanese Parliament?

One Punch Man

Saitama is a superhero, a man of such incredibly refined fighting prowess he can defeat any opponent with a single punch. And he stands ever ready to defend the people of City A no matter what terror besets them. But when you dedicate yourself to your job so completely that your hair falls out, the last thing you want is for that job to become boring …

Tonight’s Episodes:The Obsessive Scientist

Saitama and his unwanted disciple Genos travel to the House of Evolution to seek the source of the super-powered anthropomorphic animal attacks. Is it possible that Saitama may finally reveal the secret behind his ultimate power?

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar (Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash)

Haruhiro awoke in this strange land with no memory of where he had come from or how he had got here. He and his companions were given little choice; serve in the militia defending the region from the various monsters or starve, and so they struggle to make a living as soldiers. There is nothing easy about this life and making ends meet is a challenge for six people who, it seems, had never held weapons before. Teamwork may be the only thing that can keep them alive, but for that they actually need to function as a team.

Tonight’s Episodes:Long Day of the Trainee Volunteer Soldier

Our volunteer brigade would-be heroes are still attempting to earn their way in this strange fantasy world. One day they might even manage to kill a lowly goblin, but they haven’t had much luck yet. Of course the goblins don’t want to die either, so fight back tenaciously, while Haruhiko and his companions lack the experience of ever having killed another creature before.

Kotetsujou no Kabaneri (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress)

Ikoma is a lowly engineer in the walled city of Arawakin, one of a series of city-stations linked together by rail lines and serviced by massive, armour-plated steam trains. The reason for such lumbering transport? The Kabane. Victims of a plague that turns people into flesh-eating zombies and encases their hearts in iron. Outside the walled cities the Kabane roam the land. Within them the people are ready to slaughter any new arrival should they show the slightest hint of infection. Everyone from peasant to soldier lives in constant fear, but not Ikoma. He intends to fight back.

Tonight’s Episodes:Gathering Light

The refugee train Kotetsu is unable to escape the overrun way-station, and now have to face the mysterious black smoke of the Kabenari. Meanwhile Ikoma and Mumei are trapped deep below, Mumei barely able to tolerate the idea that she is “weak”, and unfit to survive.

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi (The Town Without Me)

Fujinuma Satoru is just another failed manga artist, making ends meet as a cynical pizza delivery boy. But there is one thing in his life that is genuinely extraordinary. From time to time, Satoru finds himself involuntarily transported a short distance back in time, giving him the chance to prevent an imminent disaster. He never knows exactly what he’s supposed to prevent, but that doesn’t stop him from trying. For all his cynicism Satoru wants to help others, because there is one instance from his childhood, far enough back that he barely remembers any of it, where he failed.

Tonight’s Episode:Getaway

Satoru has attempted to change the future, seeking to protect Kayo from being the first victim of the serial killer. But has his actions been for naught, as Kayo disappears 2 days later? Satoru has little time to contemplate this, as he timeslips back to his present, where he is a fugitive, suspect of killing his mother.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken – Stardust Crusaders (Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure – Stardust Crusaders)

It’s 1989. Fifty odd years have passed since Joseph Joestar did battle with the immortal Pillar Men and now his Japanese grandson, Jotaro Kujo, finds his life turned upside down. A strange new ability awakens within his bloodline, granting him great power but threatening to kill his mother.

… An ancient enemy of the family has returned.

Tonight’s Episodes:The Curse of Dio

The would-be assassin Kakyouin Noriaki is discovered to be controlled by the Vampire Dio. Can our heroes save him Kakyouin from his fate? Do not underestimate the bearer of the name JoJo, for the curse of Dio has granted him Stand. As it has to all who share the Joestar bloodline. To cancel the curse, they must travel to Dio’s secret location and kill him.
