We farewell one series, and introduce a new regular series this Saturday.
A reminder that it is expected to be either chilly or wet this weekend, so remember to rug up warm and dry.
We heap praise upon Karen and Lindsey who came in cosplay last session. They cared enough to love their anime.

Also, we coming up on the anniversary of the two instances when nuclear weapons were used in warfare. Let us not forget. Suggested anime to watch include “Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket” and “Grave of the Fireflies”.

A duel of destiny!! A battle beyond gods begins!!!! Following the fight with Beers the Destroyer, Goku and Vegeta are in training on Beers’ world, under the guidance of his attendant, Whis. Meanwhile, with the earth at peace once again, Sorbet and Tagoma, two of the surviving members of the Freeza force, come by in search of the Dragon Balls. Their goal is to revive Freeza in order to revitalize their forces. The worst wish in the history of the universe is granted, and the resurrected Freeza begins to plot revenge against Goku and the Saiyans. The newly reborn Freeza force advances on Earth, forcing Gohan, Piccolo, Kuririn and company to take on 1000 of their soldiers. Despite initially wanting nothing to do with it, Nanami has now passed Otohikogame’s test and both hatched and named her own Shikagame. The tiny little monkey is called Mamoru, protecting others is both his name and his purpose. Tomoe still doesn’t think Nanami should go to Izumo for the big gathering of deities from across Japan, even if there is a chance someone there can tell them where to find Mikage. But Nanami is going in spite of his objections, because Tomoe’s desire to find Mikage is obvious even to her.

Preview Item – Youkai Watch

Whilst out bug-hunting with his friends one day, Keita Amano’s curiosity led him to summon a youkai named Whisper from a capsule machine in front of a sacred tree. This little spirit gave Keita the Youkai Watch, a device that enables him to see and identify the various spirits around his town that are haunting people and causing mischief.

Tonight’s Episode: “Youkai Exist!“

In the woods outside their town, Keita, Kuma and Kanchi are busy snagging beetles. Their friend Fumi is also there, but she is working on a research project rather than collecting bugs. Fumi’s reaction to the beetle Keita caught motivates him to look for something better deeper in the woods. Where a glowing beetle leads him to a sacred tree … with a capsule machine in front of it.

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mages’ guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “Naval Battle“

Wendy and Chelia’s duel ends in a draw due to Wendy’s clever use of her own Wind Dragon Slayer magic. Jellal is saved from arrest by Wizards Council agents Doranbolt and Lahar by retired wizard, and Grand Magic Games commentator, Yajima. But the two plan to recapture him before the games are over. And Jellal’s misfortune does not end there; the source of the dark magic he detected in the stands during Wendy’s match has vanished, and the Wizard’s Council representatives weren’t the only ones to see his face …

Shirobako

Aoi Miyamori and her four friends made up the Animation club at their high school, and all five of them aimed to go into the Anime industry after graduation. Now Aoi, like her friends, has made her dream come true. She works for Musashino Animation, a little studio in Tokyo. The job comes with all sorts of challenges and stresses but Aoi wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t something she wanted to do.

Tonight’s Episodes: “Exodus into Tomorrow!”

In her final year, Aoi and the other members of the Kaminoyama High School animation club put together an amateur movie. Rising to the challenge of doing the animation, the story, the sound effects and the dialogue all themselves. With her final work for the club a success, the five promise to one day work together on a movie as professionals in the animation industry… Two and a half years later, Aoi is indeed working in the industry as a Production Assistant. The long hours are tiring, but a segment on the radio about her studio’s latest work perks her up.

Log Horizon season 2

Life continues for Shiroe and the others trapped within the world of Elder Tale. The city of Akihabara is now prosperous and thriving thanks to the efforts and innovations of the adventurers. But prosperity does not guarantee safety, Shiroe’s skills have already been tested against the nefarious Nureha and her guild Plant Hwyaden, and now he must find a way to secure Akihabara’s future against those who would seek to claim it for themselves.

Tonight’s Episode: “Birthday Song“

The defence of the city is an utter debacle. The Odyssey Knights only goal is to die as often as possible, believing this will send them back to Earth, and the nobles backing Plant Hwyden are exploiting that to safely level-up their own soldiers via remote control spirits. Whilst Isuzu tries to reach people through her music and Tohya confronts the Odyssey Knights directly about their fanatical beliefs, Minori convinces the increasingly mysterious Roe-2 to help them defeat the Wyverns whilst Nyanta, unbeknownst to the others, assaults Plant Hwyden’s magic train directly.

Sword Art Online 2

It has been a year since the victims of Alfheim Online were freed from their virtual prison, and more than a year since Sword Art Online was shut down. But Virtual Gaming has not died, instead it’s bigger and better than ever. For Kirito and his friends there are many places to see and people to meet in the online world.

Tonight’s Episode: “Mother’s Rosaria” (finale)

With the help of Kirito’s prototype electronic eye, Yuuki is able to accompany Asuna to school and around the city, including her old house. Yuuki repays the favour with some advice that helps Asuna talk with her mother and avoid having to change schools. The Sleeping Knights are introduced properly to the rest of Asuna’s friends and Yuuki continues to attend school on Asuna’s shoulder. All is going well …

Until one day, Asuna gets a message from Yuuki’s doctor.

Akame ga Kill (Red-Eye Kill)

Tatsumi was hoping to find enough money in the capital to save his poverty stricken village, what he found instead was corruption and slaughter. The prime minister is the power behind the throne, manipulating the infant emperor for his own gain, and the common folk of the empire suffer under his reign. A group of assassins known as Night Raid prowl the city, leaving a trail of corpses in their wake. But as Tatsumi quickly discovers, they may be the only hope the empire has.

Tonight’s Episode: “Kill the Mad Scientist“

Tatsumi has managed to escape from Esdeath and her Jeagers, and report on all of them to the rest of Night Raid. So Akame now knows her sister is in the capitol and eager to kill her. Esdeath, however is a general before she is a lover, her new unit has orders to kill Tatsumi if they feel they can’t bring him in alive. But there’s a bigger problem; Stylish, the mad scientist of the Jeagers, has used his modified soldiers to track Tatsumi back to Night Raid’s base.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Shirou Emiya, a high school student and amateur magus living in Fuyuki City, finds himself a participant in the Fifth Holy Grail War. A secret tournament between mages and their servants, reincarnated heroes and legendary figures, to claim the Holy Grail; a chalice that can grant any wish.

Tonight’s Episode: “Winter Days, Whereabouts of Mind“

The defeated Caster compares Archer to Shiro due to their shared distaste of senseless slaughter, something Shirou finds hard to believe. For Archer’s strategy the murderous female servant is more useful alive and free … whilst the moralising Shirou no longer has any value and so Archer tries to kill him. Shirou manages to stagger outside to Saber, who has survived her duel with Assassin, and who now, out of respect for Saber’s skills, blocks Archer so that Shirou can escape. Chastened by the whole affair, Shirou asks Saber to train him in sword fighting.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken (JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure)

The Joestar’s are a wealthy English family, but one with a dark fate. Ever since the days of Jonathon Joestar and his adopted brother Dio Brando, and the succession struggle that came about from Dio’s greed, the Joestar family line has found itself embroiled in supernatural horror and world-threatening ambition. And it always falls to the current Jojo, whomever it may be, to stop the madness.

Tonight’s Episode: “Knights of Darkness“

The mysterious Baron Zeppeli presents himself to Jojo in the midst of his convalescence, and meeting up with Emily again. He was the one who accidentally uncovered and unleashed the stone mask on the world from an Aztec archaeological site, and now he has dedicated himself to correcting that mistake. He teaches Jojo the art of Sendo, a way of channeling great power, Hamon, through the control of one’s breathing. And Jojo finds his training put to the final test against Jack the Ripper, one of Dio’s new zombie minions. The result is a victory for Zeppeli’s new student.
