Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode:Pandemonium

Erza learns something of Kagura, the most powerful member of the guild Mermaid Heel, from her friend, and member of the all-female guild, Millianna. The stoic swordmaster’s blade Archenemy was created for a single purpose; to kill Jellal. A goal that Erza is not pleased with. Disgraced and expelled Sabertooth member Yukino, meanwhile, gets a small taste of the family atmosphere a guild can have from her interactions with Lucy and Natsu. And her own traumatic expulsion so riles up Natsu that he goes and does something rather foolish … he crashes his way through the hotel where Sabertooth is staying and challenges their master to a fight.

Log Horizon season 2

Life continues for Shiroe and the others trapped within the world of Elder Tale. The city of Akihabara is now prosperous and thriving thanks to the efforts and innovations of the adventurers. But prosperity does not guarantee safety, Shiroe’s skills have already been tested against the nefarious Nureha and her guild Plant Hwyaden, and now he must find a way to secure Akihabara’s future against those who would seek to claim it for themselves.

Tonight’s Episode:Setting Off

Life continues in Akihabara in spite of the trials and tribulations of its various guilds. Isuzu, for example, is doing her best to be an actual bard, performing in various venues around the city in spite of how nerve-wracking it is for her to step onto a stage in front of others. In fact, Shiroe feels things have calmed down enough that its safe to send Izusu and her friends on a quest. It’s time for them to get their own magic bags.

preview – Arslan Senki (The Heroic Legend of Arslan)

Arslan is the crown prince of the royal family of Pars. A prosperous kingdom secured by the unassailable might of their army, led by Arslan’s imposing father Andragoras. But Arslan’s world is turned upside down by the invasion of their neighbour Lusitania, and the young prince must prove his own worth, and build his own legend, by reclaiming his lands from the invaders with little more than a handful of loyal allies.

Tonight’s Episode:The Glory of Ecbatana

Pars is a rich and powerful kingdom. Their king, Andragoras, is feared far and wide for his military prowess, for the kingdom has never lost a battle whilst he has led their forces. Such might brings many rewards; strong alliances, profitable trade, and the spoils of war … such as slaves. Something the young and naïve Arslan gets a chance to see for himself now that his imposing, and distant, father has returned from another successful campaign.

Amagi Brilliant Park

Amagi Brilliant Park is an amusement park, a place of magical wonder and whimsy. Or at least it’s supposed to be. The park has fallen on hard times and that’s bad news for the staff. Who genuinely are magical. There’s no place for these oddballs from a fantasy world except an amusement park, so they need theirs to stay open. That’s where Kanie Seiya comes in, a pompous high school student and burned out child star is the perfect person to manage this particular mad-house.

Tonight’s Episodes:Not Enough Time

Kanie may have found the notion of magical creatures from a fantasy world running an amusement park hard to believe, but the ability to read other people’s minds, plus a slow demonstration of Sentou drawing her magical musket out of thin air convinces him. But that’s really only half the issue, just because he believes they really are magical, doesn’t mean he has to help them save the park from closing down.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom)

The students of Class 3E are the lost causes of Kunugigaoka Junior High. But they have been given one last chance to redeem themselves. Their new teacher is not human, he’s a monster that blew a hole through the moon and now threatens to do the same to Earth in twelve months’ time. If the students can manage to kill him before then, they get 10 billion yen and the gratitude of the worlds’ governments. So, it’s time to assassinate the teacher! Which is kind of a shame, because he’s a really good teacher.

Tonight’s Episodes:Grown-Up Time

Koro-sensei managed to overcome Karma’s various plots, even his self-sacrifice assassination attempt, all without getting himself or Karma killed. Thus maintaining his status as a teacher, and giving Karma the one thing he was genuinely missing; a teacher that wouldn’t abandon his principles for selfish reasons. Of course, none of that stopped Karma from stealing Koro-sensei’s wallet, but now that it’s finally payday Koro-sensei has money again. So it’s down to the local convenience store to buy some snacks.

Kazama Kenji goal in life was simple; become a famous and feared delinquent. Instead he finds himself mixed up with his school’s struggling Game Development club and its various … eccentric … members. Yet the harder he tries to get away from them, the more he finds himself running into the other crazies in his school.

Tonight’s Episode:What’s My Secret Move?

The former student council, led by the oddball Tama, after kidnapping Ken to draw out Chitose for a confrontation, have now got what they wanted. The Game Dev Club (Provisional) will face off against them in a contest, with the fate of the club hanging on the outcome. There’s still the outstanding matter of exactly what game they will be playing for this contest, but Takao is taking care of that …

Sword Art Online 2

It has been a year since the victims of Alfheim Online were freed from their virtual prison, and more than a year since Sword Art Online was shut down. But Virtual Gaming has not died, instead it’s bigger and better than ever. For Kirito and his friends there are many places to see and people to meet in the online world.

Tonight’s Episode:Zekken

Whilst relaxing one evening Asuna’s friends fill her in on the ALO events she has missed due to family commitments. The story of “Zekken”, a seemingly unbeatable player offering a new sword skill as the prize for a one on one duel, piques her interest. Especially after she is told that Kirito spoke privately with Zekken during their duel, and acknowledged them as the stronger player. So she agrees to challenge the “Ultimate Blade” herself, just before logging off to return to the real world … and the emptiness of her family home.

Akame ga Kill

Tatsumi was hoping to find enough money in the capital to save his poverty stricken village, what he found instead was corruption and slaughter. The prime minister is the power behind the throne, manipulating the infant emperor for his own gain, and the common folk of the empire suffer under his reign. A group of assassins known as Night Raid prowl the city, leaving a trail of corpses in their wake. But as Tatsumi quickly discovers, they may be the only hope the empire has.

Tonight’s Episode:Kill the Thress – part 1

Sheele is now dead, killed by the half-mad (and half machine) Seryu, who remains fantatically certain of her own righteousness. Tatsumi is torn up by the news, but death is a constant companion both for an assassin and a revolutionary. It is something they must all, Tatsumi included, accept. But Mine still swears to avenge her friend, who gave up her life to save Mine from Seryu’s imperial arm. But the group may have bigger problems, general Esdeath has now returned from the northern frontier.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Shirou Emiya, a high school student and amateur magus living in Fuyuki City, finds himself a participant in the Fifth Holy Grail War. A secret tournament between mages and their servants, reincarnated heroes and legendary figures, to claim the Holy Grail; a chalice that can grant any wish.

Tonight’s Episode:Finding the Will to Fight

Beserker’s master is one Illyasviel von Einzbern. And whilst Rin engages Illyasviel herself, Saber is almost overwhelmed by the might of Beserker. Even Archer’s long-range assistance is of little help, and when Saber does finally manage to bring down Illyasviel’s servant it simply regenerates. Archer’s final explosive strike, whilst not permanently putting the monster down, does seem to impress Illyasviel enough that she withdraws. But whilst they may have survived the battle, it seems they did not do so unscathed as Shirou suddenly begins vomiting blood.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken (JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure)

The Joestar’s are a wealthy English family, but one with a dark fate. Ever since the days of Jonathon Joestar and his adopted brother Dio Brando, and the succession struggle that came about from Dio’s greed, the Joestar family line has found itself embroiled in supernatural horror and world-threatening ambition. And it always falls to the current Jojo, whoever it may be, to stop the madness.

Tonight’s Episode:Dio, the Invader

The muddy, rain-slicked roads of England in 1868 are treacherous indeed. When a local scavenger by the name of Dario Brando comes to collect from the corpses of a coach crash he discovers that the father and his infant son have survived, and that the man thinks Dario is there to save them. A misunderstanding the greedy scavenger is happy to take advantage of. It will be another twelve years before the two families meet again; the headstrong but ill-mannered Joestar heir, Jonathan, and Dario’s son, the sadistic, scheming, manipulative Dio.
