Annual General Meeting

We have been mentioning it for a couple of months but it has finally arrived.

JAFWA’s Annual General Meeting from 3PM!

All signed up member’s are requested to turn up and listen to how your elected committee has handled and run JAFWA for you. Questions will be accepted, and answered to the best of the committee members abilities.

This is in preparation for the election to take place later in the night. At least, an election if enough people nominated, which they didn’t.

Your anime overlords remain the same by default.

Hence it is the night of the non-election.

Do recall the weather is a tad chilly and the JAFWA heaters are not quite sufficient. Remember to rug up, and bring extra warm bodies.

Synopsis

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “Tenrou Tree“

The appearance of Bluenote threatened to end any hope Fairy Tail had of winning against Grimoire Heart, but just as Cana seemed doomed to be his first victim Gildarts appeared before her. And now he orders her and the other to leave the area as he begins his battle against Grimoire Heart’s second-in-command. Although Cana does not want to leave the man who is her father, but does not yet realise it, even she understands they would only be in his way.

Gin no Saji, Season Two (Silver Spoon), Season Two

Life continues at Ooeno Agricultural School for city boy Hachiken. As the current crop of seniors prepare to move into the work force, more club responsibilities are passed on to the younger students. But in the midst of all the club activities, delicious food and good friends, Hachiken discovers that slaughtering animals might not be the only troubling aspect of farm life.

Tonight’s Episode: “Minamikujou Appears“

Hachiken and the rest of the Equestrian club have entered a local show-jumping competition. The perpetually unemployed Ookawa has come to cheer on the members of his former club and the nervous riders all turn to him, hoping for some inspiring words. Even Mikage is beginning to feel the pressure. But at that moment a haughty, golden-haired woman makes her entrance astride a white horse, mocking Mikage for her nervousness at such a small regional competition. She is Minamikujou Ayame, a friend of Mikage’s from junior high school. At least that is how Mikage thinks of her.

Soul Eater Not!

DWMA (Death Weapon Meister Academy) is the place to go if you find that you are able the change into a weapon and need to master your newfound ability. Which is how Harudori Tsugumi finds herself in the United States, as part of the new class of students at the academy. Here she will learn to control her power and team up with one of the meisters (Students training to wield Death Weapons). However, she can’t quite make her mind up about which one to team up with.

Tonight’s Episode: “Invitation Fighting“

On a rocky plateau out in the desert, Kim and Jaqueline stand facing each other. Kim states that she needs no partner but after Jaqueline fights her to a standstill, she compliments her skill. However it is only a dream of Jaqueline’s. The next morning Tsugumi and Meme are passing the time with a friendly game of rock, paper, scissors. Their hijinks have piqued Anya’s interest, although as usual she cannot openly admit it. In the middle of their games Kim bursts in announcing she has found them all a good job.

Log Horizon

Elder Tale is an MMO with over twenty million players world wide. When a new expansion is added to the game, Shiro and his friends find themselvers amongst the several hundred thousand players across the world that are now literally trapped inside the game.

Tonight’s Episode: “A Lazy, Cowardly Princess“

Realizing that a large-scale battle is approaching, Shiroe has called the West Wind Brigade to help guard the palace since everyone else may be needed to deal with the goblins. Although the nobles still haven’t asked for help. A division of the Goblin King’s massive army broke off from the main force to raid the town of Choushi for supplies, and the order not to get involved did not sit well with Minori or the rest of her party. Choushi needs saving and they are the only ones close enough to save it. Besides, Minori already has a plan …

Preview – Hitsugi no Chaika (Chaika the Coffin Princess)

It has been five years since the fall of the Gaz Empire, since the alliance of six nations and the heroes that led their armies finally destroyed the Immortal Emperor and put saboteurs like Toru Acura and his sister Akari out of business. But now Toru and Akari have a new employer; a grey haired, coffin toting girl called Chaika, who claims to be the daughter of the deceased emperor Gaz. Unsurprisingly, the descendant of a deposed emperor has plenty of need for skilled combatants.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Girl Who Bears the Coffin“

A dark and rain-soaked shore. A grey haired girl. A shadowed figure. The daughter of the Emperor is merely the instigator of a grand fate for the Empire. On a wooded mountainside a young man hacks his way through the trees, lamenting that there is no money simply lying around for him to pick up, when a rustling from some nearby bushes catches his attention. However it is not a rabbit that emerges but a girl with a coffin strapped to her back, a girl who quickly demonstrates she is completely lost. But they are both about to learn that the mountains are a dangerous place to be.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Destruction of Japan“

Hazama has defied the instructions of the Prime Minister and warned the people of Tokyo about the impending attack by From Beyond, and just as he does phones across the city start ringing. Each is receiving a personal call from a member of From Beyond. There were 65,523 calls in total, one short of Midorikawa’s estimate for the total manpower of From Beyond. With Kaname having disappeared it falls to Hazama to endure the PMs displeasure. Despite Hazama’s protest, the PM declares a state of emergency, his priority is defending the nation not calming its populace.

Witch Craft Works

Takamiya Honoka’s life used to be completely normal. That is until the day he was attacked by a Witch of the Tower and learned that Kagari Ayaka, the most popular girl in school, is secretly his personal bodyguard and a witch herself. Now Takamiya must contend with a growing procession of eccentric magic users out to either kidnap or kill him, all whilst trying to figure out why anyone is interested in him in the first place.

However, in spite of the envy and malice directed at him by his classmates, it is not in school that Takamiya is most at risk…

Tonight’s Episode: “Beginner“

The Blanks are a near legendary online gaming team. They never give a name, and they have never been beaten in any game where they appeared. Although there is four members online, the team is actually just brother and sister Sora and Shiro. And they have never been beaten because games are their life. Even food and sleep is secondary to games, although Shiro has reached her limit after five days without a break. But it seems that the sibling’s legendary gaming skills have attracted the attention of something other than their fellow online gamers.

Sidonia no Kishi (Knights of Sidonia)

A thousand years after mankind fled Earth, Sidonia is a vast colony ship traversing deep space. The people within, genetically altered to contend with the harsh demands of space travel and Sidonia’s limited resources, live under a military dictatorship. Nagate Tanikaze however knows almost none of this, he has spent his life in the service tunnels of the ship, training in mecha combat simulators. When he is finally found by the rest of the Sidonia’s population, Tanikaze finds himself inducted into their military to help defend the colony ship against monstrous beings known as Gauna.

Tonight’s Episode: “Starlit Sky“

Assigned to an ice mining operation less than a week after emerging from the service tunnels of Sidonia, Tanikaze finds himself face to face with a real Gauna on his very first sortie. Neither he nor the other trainees are in any way ready for this, Tanikaze is knocked unconscious and his partner’s mech is speared on one of the monster’s appendages before anyone even realizes what is going on. Tanikaze’s special treatment does not change the fact that an assortment of rookies is no match for a Gauna.

Gokukoku no Brynhildr (Brynhildr in the Darkness)
