Synopsis

Nodame Cantabile: Finale

Nodame, Chiaki and their friends continue their careers in the world of music; Chiaki striving for greatness as a conductor, and Nodame striving to equal his talent so as not to be left behind. Chiaki is now a professional conductor, and Nodame is attending an elite musical school in France. For Chiaki his professional life has begun, for Nodame the moment of truth is fast approaching.

Tonight’s Episode:Lesson 7

As Chiaki prepares enough food to last whilst he is away in Italy, Nodame takes the opportunity to thank him for his help with her assignments. Chiaki finishes his packing and reflects on the tutoring he gave. Nodame now values the act of learning itself, it’s just a question of what her teacher Mr Auclair thinks of her progress. That night after the Roux- Marlowe Concert, Chiaki calls Nodame after learning her seat was empty. As suspected she became so absorbed in her music practice she forgot to go to the concert. Or to wash. Or to eat.

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode:Natsu vs Gildarts

Having reached the island and selected their cave entrance, Natsu and Happy rush onward. Natsu is convinced that his tunnel will lead to Erza, allowing him to defeat her in battle and become an S Class wizard. Unfortunately for him Juvia selected the entrance that lead to Erza, the enemy awaiting Natsu is someone altogether more powerful … Gildarts.

Preview – Samurai Flamenco

Hazama Masayoshi; male model by day, superhero by night. Or at least, that is the plan. With no super powers, no high tech gadgets, and no real training, enthusiasm is the only thing Hazama has to help him battle the drunk office workers and truant teenagers of Tokyo. Police officer Hidenori Goto becomes an unwilling accomplice to the exploits of ‘Samurai Flamenco’ and along the way they both learn what it truly means to be a hero of justice.

Hidenori Goto, a police officer who is becoming disillusioned with his job, is on his way back from the convenience store when a noise draws him into a nearby alleyway. Crouched behind some boxes is a naked man who claims to be a superhero. When Goto’s discarded cigarette accidentally burns the man’s clothes he accompanies him back to his apartment to hear the full explanation. Hazama Masayoshi has been a fan of superhero shows since he was a kid, but unlike his peers he never grew out of it …

In the year 2039 a fleet of mysterious, technologically advanced warships dubbed the Fleet of Fog devastated the world’s navies and imposed a global sea and air blockade. Completely cutting nations off from one another. Now, seven years after it began, rogue submarine captain Gunzo Chihaya has the only ship capable of challenging the blockade and giving humanity a chance to reclaim the seas … I-401, a former Fleet of Fog submarine.

Tonight’s Episode:The Masters of the Shipping Routes

The last, desperate battle against the Fleet of Fog by the assembled might of the world’s navies was a one-sided route. Advanced weaponry and defences rendered all attacks ineffective and every human vessel helpless. Now, seven years later, Japan is attempting to get an unmanned shuttle into orbit. Failure seems inevitable until radar picks up a new contact approaching from beneath the waves, the rogue submarine I-401. Formerly a Fleet of Fog vessel and now commanded by Chihaya Gunzo. He has joined the battle at the request of the Japanese government.

Hataraku Maou-sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer)

Having been thwarted in his attempts to conquer Ente Isla, the mighty demon lord Satan escapes through a portal with his general Alsiel… And winds up in modern day Tokyo with very little magical power left. His resources for world domination now consist of a tiny rented apartment and a job at a fast food restaurant.

Tonight’s Episode:The Extraordinary Days of the Hero and the Dark Lord

MgRonalds has weathered the storm of Sentucky Fried Chicken’s opening and business has returned mostly to normal. Store Manager Mayumi now has a favor to ask. A friend of hers works at a MgRonalds store in Fushima, and with a new attraction opening tomorrow she is looking for some extra staff for the day. Chiho offers, but Mayumi feels Mao alone is enough. That night, Urushihara notes that part of the big openning is a new Haunted House, so they may be able to accumulate magical power. In the apartment next door, Suzuno listens quietly to their conversation.

Suisei no Gargantia (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet)

Galactic Alliance soldier Ledo faces a huge change in lifestyle and outlook when he is separated from his comrades and forced to make his way aboard the Gargantia, a floating city greatly removed from both the technology and the concerns of his home.

Tonight’s Episode:Ruler of Fear

In the midst of Amy’s deliveries, Ridget passes on word that Flange’s fleet has entered the Sea of Fog and that the currents the Gargantia is following look set to take them in the same direction. At the same time, Flange’s fleet has just sighted a new group of ships approaching them. The lead ship is massive. But more importantly Ledo’s commander, Kugel, is on board. Pinion decides to give them the same welcome as the earlier pirate ships, but Kugel is more than capable of responding in kind. Even worse for Pinion, Ledo is joining Kugel’s fleet.

Sword Art Online

VR technology has made full-immersion video games possible, and the latest and greatest is Sword Art Online. But the players who logged in on the first day find that logging back out may be a lot harder, and the challenges of the game more than they bargained for.

Tonight’s Episode:Bonds

Kirito is Kazuto and Leafa is Suguha, and having learned that both of the people she had feelings for have their eyes on someone else has left Suguha heartbroken. Kazuto sits at Suguha’s door and thinks back to when he learned he was not related by blood to any member of his family, thinking how this may have been what drove his fixation with online gaming. How the two years trapped in Sword Art Online changed his perspective yet again. And how, upon awakening, he promised himself he would close the distance between Suguha and himself.

Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)

The entirety of mankind lives encased within a series of fortified walls which protect them from the Titans. giant humanoid monsters who devour people, that roam the world beyond the outer wall. But now, after nearly a hundred years of relative safety, new Titans have appeared.The security of the walls is a thing of the past, and mankind may be facing extinction.

The purpose of the detour into the giant forest has finally been revealed. They were not fleeing from the monster, they were luring it into a trap. Commander Erwin had positioned specialised cannons ahead of Levi’s route and now the female titan is restrained by hundreds of steel cables attached to the barbed harpoons embedded in her flesh. The sounds of the cannons reaches outside the forest, and the rest of the Survey Corps, perched at the edges of the forest to keep any other titans from wandering in, ask each other what the sound could mean.

Psycho-Pass

In a future where the psychological profiling system Sybil determines your place in society, or your removal for the good of society, new police force recruit Akane Tsunemori finds herself facing both the challenge of catching madmen loose in society, and of working alongside those deemed half mad already. All the while dealing with the consequences of a society that will lock you up or kill you for thinking bad thoughts…

Tonight’s Episode:Where Justice Lies

Akane finds herself in the basement of Nona Towers, the same location from which Kagari disappeared, having been led there by the AI voice in her Dominator. The secret door opens and the the AI voice invites her in. Makishima, meanwhile, is having a relaxed conversation with one of the scientists responsible for creating Japan’s high yield crops and automated farming systems that supply the country’s entire food supply. The secret is an engineered virus, Uka-no-Mitama, that protects the crops. But which could easily be reverse engineered to attack them instead …
