No screening on Saturday 3rd March 2018

No Screening until Saturday March 10th, 2018

This will be our usual first Saturday of the month rest break, so worry not as JAFWA will return the next week.
Most of you will be interested in going to MadFest at the convention Center.
But be aware that there is a few other things happening that may appeal to you. Starting Thursday at Hoyts Carousel is a limited run screening of the live-action adaption of the “Diamond is Unbreakable” arc of “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure”. It could give spoilers for what we are watching at JAFWA, and since the TV version is 39 episodes long, expect some drastic compresion of the storyline.
And there is the 8PM encore screening of Mary and the Witch’s Flower at Luna Leederville. Since MadFest closes its doors at 6PM, what else will you be doing?

The expected program for March 10th should be as follows:

All items in the original Japanese language with English subtitles. With assistance from a grant from

5:15pm Sakura Quest Ep 6/12
5:40pm Knight’s & Magic Ep 6/13
6:05pm Fune wa Ame Ep 1/11
6:30pm dinner break
7:15pm door prize drawing, and announcements
7:30pm Macross Ep 17/36 (retro)
7:55pm Made in Abyss Ep 12/13
8:20pm Lupin III Ep 19/26
8:45pm The Ancient Magus Bride Ep 6/24
9:10pm Late Break
