Below is the program for the evening of Saturday May 11^th, 2019. We are intending to start a bunch of new regular series this week (apart from “Rising of the Shield Hero” whose episode #1 we watched a couple of weeks ago).

We thank everyone who turned up for the sausage sizzle and Bunnings Cannington on Star Wars Day. Though due to a spelling mistake it was a “sauage sizzle”, which made it all the tastier.

Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue (My Housemate Is on My Lap, But Sometimes, on My Head)

ISubaru, a 23-year-old introverted mystery writer, who adopts the cat Haru by chance. While he initially remains distant, they gradually bond with each other. Haru and Subaru rarely understand each other, but their misunderstandings lead to a common goal.

This evening’s Episodes: “An Encounter with the Unknown ”

While visiting his parents’ grave, novelist Subaru Mikazuki has a chance encounter with a stray cat and brings it home to live with him. He watches the cat behave in unexpected ways leading him to come up with all kinds of ideas for his next novel to share with his new editor, Atsushi Kawase. While working nonstop on his novel to meet a deadline, the cat starts scattering food on the ground and scratching the door to his room.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime)

Living alone and never having had a girlfriend, 37-year-old Satoru Mikami is dissatisfied with how his life has turned out. But after dying at the hands of a robber, he awakens to a fresh start in a new world…as the lowest of the low – a slime monster.

Tonight’s Episode: “Gabiru Is Here! ”

Benimaru and the other evolved ogres are fitting in at Rimiru’s village. Gabiru, the named Lizardman, arrives at Rimuru’s village to try and get everyone to serve under him to fight the orcs. Can Gobta defeat Gabiru and his lizardmen in a duel? But how will Rimuru deal with a Dryad?

One Punch Man season 2

An increase in villain activity has the Hero Organization worried that the “Earthdoom prophecy” will soon come to pass. In an effort to alleviate the overworked heroes, they turn to villains themselves for help. The decision looks ill-advised as at least one villain is more interested in helping the prophecy along than preventing it. Meanwhile, the invincible Saitama is still bored, trying to find a decent challenge.

This evening’s Episodes: “The Hero’s Return ”

Saitama and Genos are returning from the grocery store when they see King, S Class Hero Rank 7. A reptilian monster runs away from King due to hearing King’s Engine (King’s heartbeat). However King is not who he seems to be, as Saitama will find out. Meanwhile the President of the Hero Association announces that he will be hiring villains due to the increased need of help after the Dark Matter Thieves’ attack and Madame Shibabawa dire prophecy.

Lupin the Third – Part V

The series is set in modern-day France, and follows the thief Arsène Lupin III, and his associates the marksman Daisuke Jigen, the swordsman Goemon Ishikawa XIII, the con artist Fujiko Mine along with his nemesis Inspector Koichi Zenigata, and are joined by the Ami Enan, a teenage hacker.

Tonight’s Episode: “An Outdated Master Thief ”

Enzo Bron, the president of the global IT company Shake Handz, officially presents his company’s new app called PeopleLog, a service linking facial recognition with global databases to create publicly accessible personal profiles. Lupin and company soon find that PeopleLog has become widely used to check people’s identities, making it impossible for them to appear in public and easy for the police and Lupin’s enemies to track his movements.

Rising of the Shield Hero (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari)

Naofumi Iwatani was summoned into a parallel world along with three other people to become the world’s Heroes. Each of the heroes were respectively equipped with their own legendary equipment when summoned. Naofumi happened to receive the Legendary Shield, the sole defensive equipment, while the others received weapons capable of attacking. Unlike the other heroes who are fully supported by the kingdom and gain several strong allies each, Naofumi’s luck turns to the worse, shunned by everyone from the King to peasants, Naofumi is forced to train as a hero alone while working to make ends meet acquiring only the most pitiful of followers. As he little by little gain the trust and gratitude of the people with their heroic actions, Naofumi and his companions work hard to fulfill their mission as saviors of the world, while unraveling its deepest secrets.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Slave Girl ”

After being framed and ostracised, Naofumi has sunk low, even interested in becoming a slave owner. Unable to afford a high-level Wolf-man, Naofumi opts to buy the much cheaper demi-human, a half-raccoon girl named Raphtalia. The trader places a slave crest on her, a sign of her contract with him designed to prevent her from betraying or disobeying him without feeling intense pain, while also linking experience gained by either party to each other.

Sword Art Online: Alicization

Kazuto has been recruited to assist in testing an experimental FullDive machine, Soul Translator (STL), which has an interface that is far more realistic and complex than the previous machine he had played to help develop an artificial intelligence for the Ministry of Defense (MOD) named A.L.I.C.E. He tests the STL by entering a virtual reality cyberspace created with The Seed package, named UnderWorld (UW). In the UW, the flow of time proceeds a thousand times faster than in the real world, and Kirito’s memories of what happens inside are restricted.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Osmanthus Knight ”

Eugeo has used his “Perfect Weapon Control Art” to immobilize the knights, letting Kirito defeats Fanatio, leaving her critically wounded. To save her, Kirito uses one of the special daggers Cardinal entrusted to them, despite Cardinal’s instruction to save the weapons for Alice and the Administrator.

Overlord season 3

With his foundations now set in this new world, the first steps of Ains Ooal Gown’s master plan apparent begin to come to fruition. The value of Carne village and especially the political value of his alter ego Momon are reaffirmed; the “hidden” genius of his actions is continuously met with shock and awe by Demiurge, Albedo, the rest of his guardians, and even Ains himself at his “great wisdom.” His attempts to act in a way befitting the ruler of Nazarick, continuing to further cement his guardian’s loyalty, push him ever further down the path of not-so-intentional world domination. Without human conscience due to being undead, he is motivated only to continue searching for other players from Yggdrasil and to gain power to better protect the children and home of him and his forty former companions. Lord Ains Ooal Gown maintains his mantle of Overlord and leads the Great Tomb of Nazarick unto the world stage, directly into a vicious power struggle between two great empires.

Tonight’s Episode: “A Ruler’s Melancholy ”

Following the events in Re-Estize, Ainz has some of the Floor Guardians take a day off. The ladies (Albedo, Shalltear, and Aura) spend time by the Sixth Floor Lake where Albedo learns she can not ride her Bicorn mount summon due to her being a “pure maiden”- to the other two’s shock. Can she fix this?

Attack On Titan (Shingeki ni Kyojin) season 3

Eren and his companions in the 104th are assigned to the newly-formed Levi Squad, whose assignment is to keep Eren and Historia safe given Eren’s newly-discovered power and Historia’s knowledge and pedigree. Levi and Erwin have good reason to be concerned, because the priest of the Church that Hange had hidden away was found tortured to death, making it clear that the Military Police are involved with the cover-up. Things get more harrowing when the MPs make a move on Erwin and the Levi Squad narrowly avoids capture.

Tonight’s Episode: “Smoke Signal ”

After rescuing Eren from the Colossal Titan and the Armoured Titan, and Ymir, Levi’s squad, now composed of Eren and his remaining friends, are camped out in a cottage where Hange carries out experiments on Eren to test his Titan and hardening abilities to seal the wall. But it appears that someone in the government is trying to destroy the Survey Corps and hide the secrets of the Titans. Levi will encounter an old acquaintance.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken – Ougen no Kaze (Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure – Golden Wind)

Set in 2001, two years after the events of Diamond is Unbreakable, Koichi Hirose is sent to Italy and tasked by Jotaro Kujo to search for Giorno Giovanna, an aspiring mafia gangster who is a son of Dio Brando. But as Dio possessed the body of Jonathan Joestar at time of his conception, Giorno is technically a Joestar and takes more after them than the father he never knew. The series follows Giorno as he joins the mafia organization Passione, moving up through its ranks with the intention of becoming its boss to improve life in Italy.

Tonight’s Episodes: “Express Train to Florence ”

Bucciarati’s gang follows the key’s instructions to take Trish to Venice and drive to Naples railway station and find what it unlocks. Meanwhile, two Hitman Team’s members, Prosciutto and Pesci, board the train in an attempt to find the gang. Bucciarati eventually discovers that the key fits into the shell of a turtle named Coco Jumbo he finds at the station.
