Synopsis

Atom: The Beginning

This series is a prequel to Osamu Tezuka’s “Astro Boy” series, depicting the events up until the birth of Astro Boy.

This evening’s Episode: “Ran and Princess Teru”

Ran and her friends at robotics club at Tokyo Perfectural Sanpoji high school add finishing touches to their robot Teru Hime (Princess Teru) as their entry for JRRC Junior robot rescue competition which tests disaster management robots. Meanwhile Umataro and Hiroshi remain unmoved and disenchanted by the invitation for A106 to enter robot wrestling.

Little Witch Academia

Akko Kagari enrolls into Luna Nova Academy, a school for young witches, after being inspired at a young age by a witch named Shiny Chariot, and often spends her days hanging with her classmates, Lotte and Sucy. However, she has trouble paying attention in class, doesn’t know how to ride her broom, and is often looked down upon for admiring Chariot, whom many believe gives the wrong impression about witches.

This evening’s Episode: “What You Will”

As Luna Nova prepares for their annual Samhain Festival, during which the most exemplary student is crowned the Moonlit Witch, Diana is put in charge of the committee while Akko’s group is stuck playing symbolic sacrifices for an ever-sorrowful ghost known as Vajarois.

Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari (The Golden Furball of Udon Country) (aka Poco’s Udon World)

Sota Tawara was the son of a noodle restaurant owner. Born and raised in Kagawa Prefecture (a.k.a the Udon Prefecture), he had been living an uneventful life in Tokyo as a web designer. After his father’s demise he returns home to find the restaurant having gone out of business and a young boy that he names Poco hiding there. He grows fond of him and decides to take care of him and constantly worries about what would happen to Poco once he leaves. He regrets leaving his home and his father because of his selfishness and mentions it to his big sister when she expresses her regret of being unable give their father a grandchild. His time spent with Poco often reminds him of how his father lovingly took care of him, which further adds to his regrets.

This evening’s Episode: “Shoudo Island”

Now that S?ta is committed to living in Kagawa, it is time to get a job. His previous Tokyo employer gave him a local reference, so it is time to go to Shoudo Island to meet the mew employer and give Poco a relaxing break. But a moment’s inattention on the tidal Angel’s Walk, and Poco disappears…

retro series – Gunsmith Cats

19-year-old Irene “Rally” Vincent, an expert combat shooter and marksman with just about every firearm in existence, as well as a brilliant driver, operates the titular “Gunsmith Cats” gun shop but also works as a bounty hunter. She is assisted in both activities by her housemate, former prostitute “Minnie” May Hopkins, an explosives expert.

Tonight’s Episode: “High Speed Edge”

ATF agent Bill Collins discovers that the Russian killer Radinov has political connections, while Rally is in a life and death game of cat and mouse with Radinov.

In the distant future, the discovery of the new mineral Orichalt has allowed humanity to expand beyond the Sol System. On the constant lookout for Orichalt, humanity has developed I-Machines, robots that operate in extreme environments. I-Machines function by transferring a human pilot’s consciousness into the robot’s operating system; in that sense, the human becomes the machine. While Alliance Academy student Maya Mikuri is in the middle of operating an I-Machine, she gets involved in an incident with pirates, and ends up serving as a crew member on an excavation company’s spaceship.

Tonight’s Episode: “Singular Tactics”

The masked man Addams reviews the recent information about the Excavate Company and its escape from the Federation Battleship Marito. Aboard their spaceship Stulti, the Excavate crew question Lieutenant Amanza Volchkova using their avatars and discuss the sudden appearance of the meteor shower that hit the Marito.

preview item – Youkai Aparto no Yuuga na Nichijou (Elegant Yokai Apartment Life)

Yuushi Inaba is a 16-year-old boy whose parents died three years ago. He moved into his uncle’s house, but resolved to move into a dormitory in high school. Those plans were dashed when that dormitory burned down. He eventually finds an apartment with cheap 25,000-yen rent. Yuushi finds out too late that the apartment is home to supernatural creatures such as ghosts, youkai, and mononoke, and his daily life becomes embroiled in the eccentric apartment.

Tonight’s Episode: “Yushi and Kotobuki-so”

Yuushi is desperate to alleviate his financial burden upon his surviving relatives, by going to boarding school. But a last moment fire destroys the dormitory. How can Yuushi find a new residence with his budget. Then late at night a mysterious figure points him at a real estate office that is not only open, but can offer him the ideal room. What is the catch?

Re: Creators

Souta Mizushino is a young high school student and anime fan who dreams of writing his own light novel. While looking to an anime for inspiration, the iPad he is watching it on sputters and drags him into the anime’s world, where he witness a battle between the anime’s character Selesia and a mysterious girl wearing a military uniform. After returning with Selesia, Souta discovers that other characters from different stories and forms of media were also brought to the real world, with some of them aligned with the military uniform girl, who promised them the ways to end the strife in their worlds and a way back home, unaware of her true intentions.

Tonight’s Episode: “A Small Armageddon I don’t want to make a mistake for the sake of the people who are in my story.”

With both sides fighting over the recently arrived Magane, Mamika interferes and begins calming the situation down, until Y?ya arrives at the scene and begins fighting everyone. Then Rui arrives with his Gigas Machina, forcing Alicetaria, Mamika, and Blitz to retreat.

Haruto Tsukishiro wakes up in a dream world dominated by strange and powerful entities called “Witches”. Tonight’s Episode: “The Witch of Thunder”

One day, Haruto wakes up on a round bed in a strange room, with the only familiar things around being his smartphone and headphones. After encountering a strange girl in white named Lily who claims to be his sister and a man who looks like a cat, Haruto learns that he is in a dream belonging to Yuko, a girl stricken with Sleeping Beauty Syndrome.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! (God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World)

Kazuma Satou wasn’t looking for anything beyond his simple high school shut-in existence. But one untimely death later and he finds himself before the goddess Aqua with the chance to be deposited in a fantasy kingdom that is in need of heroes to defeat a demon lord. Things don’t look good from the moment he arrives and so Kazuma decides to ditch the whole “save the world” thing and just try to become rich and live comfortably. Unfortunately, the various eccentric companions he is saddled with aren’t really helping with that goal.

Tonight’s Episode: “An Explosion for This Chuunibyo!”

After struggling to defeat some giant frogs, adventurers Kazuma and Aqua seek out more members to join their party. They are soon approached by Megumin, a magician capable of performing powerful explosion magic.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken – Stardust Crusaders (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure – Stardust Crusaders)

It’s 1989. Fifty odd years have passed since Joseph Joestar did battle with the immortal Pillar Men and now his Japanese grandson, Jotaro Kujo, finds his life turned upside down. A strange new ability awakens within his bloodline, granting him great power but threatening to kill his mother.

Tonight’s Episode: “D’Arby the Player, part 2”

Battling with video games with their souls on the line, Kakyoin uses his skills to battle D’Arby’s racer and avoid losing the match and having his soul trapped in one of D’Arby’s dolls. Then it is Jotaro’s turn to step up to face-off against D’Arby in a baseball video game, despite having never played a video game in his life.
