Synopsis

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “Kagura vs Yukino“

Jenny and Mirajane’s one-on-one duel started out as a modelling contest and really only got serious once Jenny suggested that the loser have to pose nude in Sorcerer Magazine. Whereupon Mirajane defeated her without breaking a sweat. But it seems making wagers is becoming a trend as Yukino of Saber Tooth proposes to her opponent Kagura from Mermaid Heel that they wager their lives on their duel. Meanwhile the captain of the royal guard, Arcadios, has been confronted by the defense minister Darton about his “Eclipse Project”.

Log Horizon season 2

Life continues for Shiroe and the others trapped within the world of Elder Tale. The city of Akihabara is now prosperous and thriving thanks to the efforts and innovations of the adventurers. But prosperity does not guarantee safety, Shiroe’s skills have already been tested against the nefarious Nureha and her guild Plant Hwyaden, and now he must find a way to secure Akihabara’s future against those who would seek to claim it for themselves.

Tonight’s Episode: “Sweet Trap“

The Round Table’s financial problems and the problem of Adventurers buying up land has been dealt with, by returning ownership of the land to the Yamato Server forever. And Shiroe and Naotsugu have made it back to Akihabara in time for Valentine’s Day. Tetra’s incessant taunting and teasing, especially at this time of year, complicates Naotsugu’s and Marie’s relationship. But of course, Tetra delights in creating these kinds of complications. Indeed he has information on a wondrous elixir that will make the drinker confess their love …

preview – Kekkai Sensen (Blood Blockade Battlefront)

Jerusalem’s Lot is the former city of New York. It has been enveloped in a strange mist ever since the gate to an Otherworld opened there, depositing all manner of strange creatures into the city. Aspiring photographer Leonardo Watch came here for the sake of his sister but instead finds himself a part of the crime-fighting organisation Libra. Leonardo doesn’t look like much, but he has something that makes him a valuable asset to the team … and the target of powerful forces throughout the city.

Tonight’s Episode: “Demon City Association”

Leonardo has written a letter to his sister. It’s the first time he’s written to her since coming to Jerusalem’s Lot, but he wants to tell her about the people who have changed his life for the better … The streets of former New York City since the portal opened have been a particularly chaotic mess. And in the midst of this chaos Leonardo Watch is running through the pedestrian traffic, past numerous weird and wondrous creatures, in pursuit of a little monkey that currently has his camera.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom)

The students of Class 3E are the lost causes of Kunugigaoka Junior High. But they have been given one last chance to redeem themselves. Their new teacher is not human, he’s a monster that blew a hole through the moon and now threatens to do the same to Earth in twelve months’ time. If the students can manage to kill him before then, they get 10 billion yen and the gratitude of the worlds’ governments. So, it’s time to assassinate the teacher! Which is kind of a shame, because he’s a really good teacher.

Tonight’s Episodes: “Karma Time”

Koro-sensei again demonstrates his superlative teaching skills, helping Tomohito get past his obsession with imitating his favourite pro-baseballer and instead developing a pitching style better suited to his own physique. Karasuma from the Ministry of Defence joins the teaching staff of Kunugigaoka in order to keep up the morale of the high-school assassins, only to find them far more upbeat than he expected. And whilst all this is going on, another E-Class student’s suspension is just ending … and he seems genuinely excited by the chance to kill a teacher.

D-Frag!

Kazama Kenji goal in life was simple; become a famous and feared delinquent. Instead he finds himself mixed up with his school’s struggling Game Development club and its various … eccentric … members. Yet the harder he tries to get away from them, the more he finds himself running into the other crazies in his school.

Tonight’s Episode: “That’s Right. I’m His Little Sister”

Ken’s debt to Takao has now been cleared, by spending a day sitting with her in line for the release of the latest Magical Village game. It was supposed to be a date disguised as a thankyou meal for Ken, but Takao’s plans are about as successful as Ken’s gang. They did manage to keep Roka from seeing the two of them in line together, but Ken had to pretend to be a fan of the game. He also ended up telling her where he keeps the bag he won from her. Roka was pleased and Takao upset, but that’s not the end of the problems that bag will cause …

Noragami (Stray God)

Hiyori Iki is introduced to the world of spirits and deities after her first encounter with Yato, a homeless war god, results in a near death experience. Now Hiyori needs the ambitious Yato to help stop her soul from disconnecting from her body, but a god who doesn’t even have a shrine, let alone worshippers, doesn’t really inspire much confidence.

Tonight’s Episode: “A Scrap of a Memory” (Finale)

Stealing Hiroyri’s memories has so far failed to restore the old God of Calamity that Rabou wishes to see again, it’s only made Yato blow through his shrine savings in a failed attempt to make Hiyori remember him. So Nora reveals that Hiyori’s condition is more serious than they realized, she is losing all of her memories and eventually will be nothing more than a mindless husk. That is enough to get both Yato and Yuki motivated, and so even though their last duel nearly killed Yuki the two are on their way to the forgotten shrine of the deified assassin, Rabou.

Sword Art Online 2

It has been a year since the victims of Alfheim Online were freed from their virtual prison, and more than a year since Sword Art Online was shut down. But now it has begun once again. A mysterious figure has been making appearances in the game Gun Gale Online, and other players drop dead in their wake. Kirito finds himself once again risking his life in the online world.

Tonight’s Episode: “Forest House“

The Excaliber quest is over, and Asuna and her friends are relaxing in ALO, with those that are still school-age trying to finish their summer homework before it’s too late. But the atmosphere is awfully relaxing, and Kirito asleep in the corner doesn’t help. It seems he has been very busy studying for his mechatronics course at University ever since finishing his government paid job in GGO.

Akame ga Kill

Tatsumi was hoping to find enough money in the capital to save his poverty stricken village, what he found instead was corruption and slaughter. The prime minister is the power behind the throne, manipulating the infant emperor for his own gain, and the common folk of the empire suffer under his reign. A group of assassins known as Night Raid prowl the city, leaving a trail of corpses in their wake. But as Tatsumi quickly discovers, they may be the only hope the empire has.

Tonight’s Episode: “Kill the Dream“

Tatsumi has survived his first battle with a wielder of an Imperial Arm Relic. But despite acquitting himself quite well, the only reason he still breathes is because Akame was there to save him. Watching her cut down Zank the Executioner whilst under the illusion it was the person she cared most about in the world begs the question what happened between Akame and this person, but for now there is a more immediate concern … Night Raid now has a spare Imperial Arm Relic for Tatsumi.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Shirou Emiya, a high school student and amateur magus living in Fuyuki City, finds himself a participant in the Fifth Holy Grail War. A secret tournament between mages and their servants, reincarnated heroes and legendary figures, to claim the Holy Grail; a chalice that can grant any wish.

Tonight’s Episode: “The First Battle”

Shirou does not take well to the idea of being forced to participate in the Holy Grail War. But once the priest Kotomine explains what happens when someone with dark intentions wins the War, and how the near-fatal fire from his childhood was a result of the last War, he accepts his role as Saber’s master. Against Archer’s wishes, Rin chooses not to attack Shirou even though he is now formally a rival in the War, and so no one is distracted or injured when yet another Master in the Holy Grail War shows up; the silver-haired girl Shirou met just days ago with her servant the Beserker.

Danganronpa

Hope’s Peak Private Academy is a famous boarding school, known as a place for students who are the best in their field. When the unremarkable Makoto Naegi wins a lottery to enter the school he and fourteen other new students find the horrible truth hidden within; Hope’s Peak is a prison, and the only way out is to kill one of the other inmates without getting caught.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Reason Super High School-Level Bad Luck Attracted Super High School-Level Murder, Super High School-Level Execution and Super High School-Level Despair”

For trusting Kirigiri in the last classroom trial and withholding damning evidence, Naegi’s reward is to be framed for the murder himself. He avoids certain death thanks to Alter Ego’s sabotage, but remains trapped in the school’s garbage pit until Kirigiri comes to rescue him. Having returned to the school, Kirigiri now forces a retrial on Monobear. But Monobear lays down a new goal; solve all the mysteries of the school and you win, fail to do so and you all die.
