Synopsis

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode:Fairy Tail, X791

Fairy Tail has fought with the seemingly unbeatable Acnologia, Black Dragon of the Apocalypse. And they were, indeed, no match for it. In fact after its final attack nothing remained of the island or the guild members on the island. It has now been seven long years and the remnants of Fairy Tail have led a fairly pathetic existence. Without the power of their top-ranked members the guild has slowly withered away, even having to move to a shabbier guild hall outside the city… But there is one who has never stopped waiting for Natsu and the others to return.

Barakamon

Seishuu Handa is a new rising star in the world of professional, artistic, calligraphy. But when his pride and temper land him in trouble, he finds himself cooling his heels on the quaint little island of Gotou. Seishuu quickly finds the island’s residents to be both infuriating and invigorating in equal measure. Especially the diminutive Naru Kotoishi.

Tonight’s Episode:Hitonmochi (Mochi Thrown in Celebration)

In spite of the interruptions by Naru, Miwa and Tama, and perhaps thanks to the steady supply of free meals from Hiroshi and his parents, Handa has now submitted a new piece into a competition. Having finally produced something, since arriving on the island, that he is happy with. But now he finds himself out of black ink. The only place to buy it (or just about anything else) is the Kinoshita Market, a quaint little store run by one of the elderly ladies that helped Handa move in.

preview – Ao Haru Ride (Blue Spring Ride)

In junior high, popularity was the bane of Futaba Yoshioka’s existence. The attention she got from boys resulted in bitterness and bullying from the other girls in her class. So now, Futaba makes certain she isn’t popular with the boys so as not to lose the few female friends she has. But her careful charade begins to unravel when she runs into Kou Tanaka, the one boy from junior high that she actually liked but never had a chance to admit her feelings to.

Tonight’s Episode:Page 1

Kou Tanaka was short, unassuming, and unsure of himself. But he was also kind and caring, and Futoba loved him, but she never got to tell him that. Her best chance came when Tanaka asked to meet her before the summer festival began. But a sudden outburst at a boy in her class seemed to, unintentionally, offend Tanaka as well as he never showed up. And by the end of summer break, he had moved away. But Futoba has never forgotten him …

Sword Art Online, Season 2

It has been a year since the victims of Alfheim Online were freed from their virtual prison, and more than a year since Sword Art Online was shut down. But now it has begun once again. A mysterious figure has been making appearances in the game Gun Gale Online, and other players drop dead in their wake. Kirito finds himself once again risking his life in the online world.

Tonight’s Episode:Gun and Sword

Kirito has now entered Sword Art Online, and already made a name for himself winning one of its mini-games, and in the process enough cash to buy his gear. After a bit of frantic driving to get to the BoB tournament signup on time, Kirito discovers he must give his real world details to be eligible for the top level prizes. That request becomes even more worrying when combined with the knowledge that GGO, and its parent company Zaskar, are a shady outfit that skirts the law in both America and Japan.

Zankyou no Terror (Resonance of Terror)

Tokyo is under attack, from a pair of terrorists referring to themselves as ‘Sphinxes’. With a series of complicated riddles uploaded to the internet as the only warning of when and where each attack will take place the police scramble to protect the city. But there may be more to these terrorists than their appearance, or their dehumanizing names, suggest.

Tonight’s Episode:Ready or Not

Nine and Twelve now have bigger issues than Lisa’s freeloading. The white-haired girl from the US turned out to be Five, another child from the facility they grew up in. Worse, she seems perfectly willing to let their bombs kill people, something Nine and Twelve have gone to great lengths to avoid. Shibazaki meanwhile is beginning to suspect a pattern in the terrorist’s choice of targets. Specifically, the fact that the owners of all the buildings are linked to a group called the Rising Peace Academy.

Tonight’s Episode:That Was a Good Last Episode

Hato has finally confronted his high school crush, and not a moment too soon since she is marrying his older brother. Madarame, ordered to get all the juicy details for Rika, Yaegashi and Kanako, has managed to keep out of it despite Sue’s best efforts.
