The End of Year extra-long JAFWA program for 2013, on Saturday 14th December 2013 is below. To be held in the Collins Street Community Center on Collins Street just off Canning Highway in South Perth.

Synopsis

Hanasaku Iroha movie -“Home Sweet Home”

Hanasaku Iroha centers around Ohana Matsumae, a 16-year-old teenager living in Tokyo, who is left in the care of her estranged grandmother, following her mother’s elopement with her boyfriend. Ohana arrives at her grandmother’s country estate to realize she is the owner of a Taish? period hot spring inn called Kissuis?. She begins working at Kissuis?, at her grandmother’s request, but finds herself at odds with many employees and customers at the inn. Initially feeling discouraged, she decides to use her circumstances as an opportunity to change herself for the better and to make amends with her deteriorating relationship with the Kissuis?’s staff for a more prominent future.

Tonight’s movie: ““Home Sweet Home””

During the Autumn holidays, Ohana is put in charge of Yuina as she comes to the Kissuiso to train to be an inn waitress. Whilst having to tidy away a mess Yuina had made in the storage room, Ohana comes across some old logbooks from the time when Satsuki was working at the inn. As Kissuiso is left without any power for the day, Nako learns that her younger sister, Mana, has run away from home, so she and Ohana go search for her.

Full Metal Panic – fumoffu

The series focuses on Sousuke Sagara, a Sergeant from the mercenary group Mithril who is assigned to protect Kaname Chidori, student from a Jindai high school in Japan. Mithril commander Tessa is hoping being exposed to normal civilian life might make former child soldier Sousuke more sociable.

Tonight’s Episode: “A Goddess Comes to Japan (Part 1: The Suffering and Part 2: The Hot Spring)“

During a lull at the Mithril base, Tessa decides to spend the time as an exchange student at Jindai High to learn more about school life. Sousuke, however, finds the stress of guarding her overbearing and collapses from fatigue. Sousuke, Kaname, Tessa, Kurz, Melissa, and their friends travel to an onsen (hot springs) for some rest and relaxation before Tessa returns to Merida Island. Can Sousuke be the perfect body guard, foiling the other boys’ attempts to sneak a peek at the girls’ bath.

Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari K?en-mae Hashutsujo movie

Literally “This is the police station in front of Kameari Park in Katsushika Ward”, often shortened to Kochikame (???). It takes place in the present day, in and around a neighborhood police station (k?ban) in the downtown part of Tokyo, and revolves around the misadventures of a middle-aged cop, Kankichi Ryotsu, and his assorted associates.

Officer Ryotsu is ordered to team up with FBI agent Lisa Hoshino to find a terrorist who is currently in Tokyo. For an unknown reason, only buildings from the Shinatora corporation seem to be targeted by the mysterious Benten.

Coicent

In 2710, a boy named Shinichi is on a school field trip to a rebuilt 21st century version of the city Nara. When he wanders from his class, he spots a talking white deer and it steals his bag. Shinichi follows the deer and sees a strange girl named Toto and falls in love with her. She is being pursed by two brothers and they try to get away from them.

Little Witch Academia

Akko Kagari enrolls into Luna Nova Academy, a school for young witches, after being inspired at a young age by a witch named Shiny Chariot, and often spends her days hanging with her classmates, Lotte and Sucy. However, she has trouble paying attention in class, doesn’t know how to ride her broom, and is often looked down upon for admiring Chariot, whom many believe gives the wrong impression about witches. One day, as a teacher instructs the class to explore a dungeon and retrieve rare treasures, Akko finds the Shiny Rod that belonged to Chariot.

Gingitsune

Makoto Saeki is the daughter of a shrine priest in a small Inari Shinto shrine dedicated to the God Ukanomitama. Since she’s 4 years old, her mother died and inherited an unusual gift called The Sight, allowing her to see the Shrine’s Heralds. She met the messenger of the god Inari: an anthropomorphic fox named Gintaro during the funeral, declaring her as the fifteenth generation heiress. Gintaro can see a short glimpse into the future and find lost things despite being rude and unmotivated, but still developed a good friendship with Makoto. As she is the only girl who can see the spirit, both of them decide to be a go-between for the gods and humans as they try to help those who come to the shrine.

Tokyo Godfathers

One Christmas Eve in present day Tokyo, three homeless people — Gin, a middle-aged alcoholic, Hana, a trans woman and former drag queen, and Miyuki, a runaway girl — discover an abandoned newborn while searching in some trash. Deposited with the unnamed baby is a note asking the finder to take good care of her and a bag containing clues to the parent’s identity. The trio sets out to find the baby’s parents, with all the unseen coincidences life throws at them.

Strike the Blood

The Fourth Progenitor—That’s the world’s strongest vampire that should only exist in legends. Accompanied by twelve Kenjuu and spreading calamity, this phantom vampire appeared in Japan. For the observation and obliteration of this Fourth Progenitor, the government and Lion King decided to dispatch an attack mage known as a Sword Shaman. However, for some reason, the one chosen for the observation was an apprentice Sword Shaman girl, Himeragi Yukina. Wielding the strongest anti-progenitor spirit spear, Yukina arrived at Demon District, Itogami City. What is the true identity of the Fourth Progenitor, Akatsuki Kojou, she encountered over there!?

Tonight’s Episode: “Right Arm of the Saint part I“

Itogami Island is a manmade island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean where summer never ends. A high school student at Saikai Academy, Akatsuki Koj?, is on his way home from studying with his classmates, Aiba Asagi and Yaze Motoki, when he notices a girl in the Saikai Academy middle school uniform following him.

Dantalian no Shoka OAV

This story takes place in England after World War I. After the death of his grandfather, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, receives a mysterious key and according to his will, must take custody of the Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian in order to inherit his estate and all his possessions. Upon meeting Dalian, a child living at the estate, he learns that she is the guardian of the Archives which contain forbidden knowledge stored in thousands of magic books called “Phantom Books”. Upon agreeing to become Dalian’s new Keykeeper, Huey joins her into investigating incidents regarding people misusing the power of the Phantom Books, most of them with tragic consequences, and using his power as Keykeeper to seal the power of the Phantom Books and restore order to the area.

Tonight’s Episode: “Ibara-hime“

To recover a Phantom Book, Huey Anthony Disward and Dalian head to a remote village where people have been mysteriously disappearing.

Cencoroll OAV

In Cencoroll, large, mostly white amorphous creatures have been appearing in a town resembling Sapporo, Hokkaid?, Japan. Tetsu is a male high school student who keeps one such shapeshifting creature named Cenco, which he can control via telepathy, though wants to keep it a secret. An inquisitive girl named Yuki chances upon Cenco at school when it is transformed into a bicycle. After Tetsu arrives to retrieve the bicycle, Yuki inadvertently causes Cenco to transform back into its normally large form by poking it in the eye. Yuki is much more interested in Cenco than Tetsu and accompanies them into town. There, a boy named Sh?, who controls two of the creatures, confronts Tetsu in order to obtain Cenco.

Shingeki no Kyojin OAV

The entirety of mankind lives encased within a series of fortified walls which protect them from the Titans. giant humanoid monsters who devour people, that roam the world beyond the outer wall. But now, after nearly a hundred years of relative safety, new Titans have appeared.The security of the walls is a thing of the past, and mankind may be facing extinction.

Ilse Langnar of the Survey Corps encounters a talking Titan during the 34th Expedition outside of the walls.
