The tentative JAFWA program for Saturday 14th August 2010 is below. To be held in the Collins Street Community Center on Collins Street just off Canning Highway in South Perth.
Things of Note:
1) JAFWA’s AGM (Annual General Meeting) was on Saturday August 7, 2010, from ~6PM after Westlodge. All signed up financial members could come along free to find out the current status of JAFWA, meet the new committee, and ask relevant questions. The free sausage sizzle beforehand was eagerly eaten, and people voted to go home rather than watch anime afterwards.
2) Last session’s Bean Poll on whether “KatanaGatari” should remain in the JAFWA line-up was unanimously affirmative.
3) Prepare for extra anime in September, 16 to 29. Luna Cinemas will be screening the Reel Anime 2010 program, including a better copy of “Summer Wars” than JAFWA screened last year. Also titles that JAFWA has not yet screened – “King of Thorn” and “Redline. All films in original Japanese with English subtitles.
