Thankyou for all who attended JAFWA’s Annual General Meeting last week. I hope you are all happy with how your committee performed during the last year.
However, due to lack of nominations, there was insufficient to hold an election and your current committee are back by default. It would please me much if you would now tremble in fear.
To enforce the trembling in Fear, there is the new regular series “Isekai Quartet” season 2.
The JAFWA screenings continue, though we once again had a last minute change with the program. We realised that we needed to put in a preview item last week, so that it could make it onto the survey for this week. Yes! our monthly survey is back, and can our monthly member’s draw be far behind?
And tonight, before the Dinner Break and survey, we will sneak in one more preview episode of a series we supsect that our dear JAFWAites might appreciate. After Dinner we have the last episode of “Mob Psycho 100”.
We continue taking precautions to limit the possible second wave of Corona, and we ask that you co-operate and even help where possible with our efforts to keep you safe – some social distancing, extra cleaning with antiseptic, library under limited access, etc. Also, we must ask that anyone unfortunate enough to be infected to not attend JAFWA until they are contagion free.
Help would be welcome during set-up and pack-up due to the extra duties imposed by COVID-19. Set Up begins ~4:45pm, while the Screening should begin at 5:15pm, or later should the set-up not yet be complete. Please arrive early to confirm personal details due to COVID 19 regulations. And we need to wipe the chairs down before they are stacked away.

Dr Stone
Typical student Taiju Oki tells his science-loving friend Senku Ishigami that he will confess his feelings to their classmate Yuzuriha Ogawa. He prepares to make his confession to Yuzuriha under a camphor tree on the school grounds, but his attempt is interrupted when a bright light appears in the sky. Taiju pushes Yuzuriha to the tree to protect her as the light petrifies them along with the entire human population. After 3700 years spent trapped in stone, Senku and Taiju are somehow revived from their petrified state six months apart in what they now call the Stone World.

Magma tricks the ascendant Kinro into consulting the referee so he can attack from behind and win the match for himself. He then has Mantle throw his match against Chrome in order to disqualify Kohaku, who fails to get back in time. Now. it is Gen vs Magma. Can sorcery save him?
Mob Psycho 100 season 2
Shigeo Kageyama’s nickname is “Mob”. A slang term for a background character, someone who doesn’t stand out. In truth he is an incredibly powerful psychic who has suppressed his emotions in order to avoid causing a catastrophe. Mob would like nothing better than to live a normal life and have feelings just like anyone else, but with his incredible psychic powers there’s no telling what might happen if he did.
Tonight’s Episode: “Boss Fight ~The Final Light~ ” (final)
The final battle against Claw leader Toichiro Suzuki forces Mob to go 100% in various emotions. But what happens when Toichiro hits 100% for the first time?
Fire Force (En’en no Shouboutai, literally “Blazing Firefighting Corps”)
In the year 198 of the Age of the Sun, Tokyo is a crowded cosmopolis. But the world’s most populous city is threatened by devils that cause people to burst into flame at random. The only ones who can stop it are the Pyrofighters, a team of specialized firefighters. The young Shinra, blessed with the ability to ignite his feet and travel at the speed of a rocket, wants nothing more than to be a hero, and knows that this is the place for him. But he’s not the best at following orders.
Tonight’s Episode: “Eve of Hostilities in Asakusa ”
The fire fighters, including Company 8, commence reconstruction of Asakusa following the destruction by Benimaru, and relations improve between the two companies. However, the White Hoods dupe Benimaru into believing that Obi and Hinawa are creating Infernals and he attacks them.

Tonight’s Episode: “Join the Fight! Transfer Student” and “Sneak In! The Principal’s Office”
As per the end of the last series, a new transfer student is joining the class. But Naofumi Iwatan (from “Rise of the Shield Hero”) has no interest in our class of interdimensional misfits, instead seeking to find his companions Raphtalia and Filo. Raphtalia and Filo want to find Naofumi. Meanwhile, some of our interdimensional misfits are seeking a certain inebriating fluid, that good little students should no imbibe. Can they find it, and more important survive finding it?
Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba)
Tanjiro Kamado is a kindhearted and intelligent boy who lives with his family, making money by selling charcoal. Everything changes when his family is attacked and slaughtered by demons (oni). Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the sole survivors of the incident. Nezuko has now become a demon, but still surprisingly shows signs of human emotion and thought. Tanjiro becomes a demon slayer to help his sister turn human again and to prevent the same tragedy that happened to him and his sister, from happening to others.
Tonight’s Episode: “Something More Important Than Life”
The entire house shifts its orientation suddenly, throwing Zenitsu and Shoichi outside through a second story window. The room Tanjiro is in flips, sending papers from a cabinet flying across the room. When Tanjiro lands, he takes care not to step on them. This causes Kyogai to recall how, as a human, he loved to write but was belittled, his writing discarded, though Tanjiro took care not to step on it. But what of Nezuko in her box?
Darwin’s Game (Daawinzu Geemu)
17-year old Kaname Sudou accepts an online invitation by a friend to play an app game called Darwin’s Game, unbeknownst to him that it involves a fight between life and death. Those who play the game are given a Sigil, an ability that varies from player to player. Trapped in this game of relentless murder and conquest, Kaname determines to clear the game, and seek out and kill the Game Master.
Tonight’s Episode: “Fireworks ”
Having disabled several surveillance cameras, Kaname and Rein head out to one of the autolock hotel rooms to hide and plan their next move. Based on the cameras destroyed, the Florist correctly figures out where they have been hiding. Meanwhile the Eighth’s clan intends to attack the hotel to steal all the rings.
Retro – Touhai Densetsu Akagi (Mahjong Legend Akagi)
After a death-defying game of chicken one evening in 1958, Akagi nonchalantly enters a yakuza mahjong parlor to shake the police’s trail. Although he is unfamiliar with the rules of mahjong, his gambling intuition saves a small-time gambler, Nangou, and grants him a seat at the gambling table. Thus begins Akagi’s legend among the Yakuaza as the best player and gambler of Mahjong.
Tonight’s Episode: “A True Outlaw”
Nangou will bet six million on the next Akagi match, and Akagi persuades Yasuoka into betting more two million. On the day of the match, Akagi meets his adversary, Ichikawa, a blind man who has very accurate hearing. Akagi receives a gun for accepting to attend the match.
Vinland Saga
set in Dane-controlled England at the start of the 11th century, and features the Danish invaders of England commonly known as Vikings. The story combines a dramatisation of King Cnut the Great’s historical rise to power with a revenge plot centered on the historical explorer Thorfinn, the son of a murdered ex-warrior.
Tonight’s Episode: “Troll ”
Askeladd, the leader of a band of a hundred Vikings, bargains with Floki and demands double the price to kill Thors. Back in the village, the young men buzz with excitement as they prepare for their first battle. Together with five men from the village and Leif Erikson’s crew, they set sail in two ships to meet Askeladd. When they stop to rest and resupply in the Faroe Islands, they are caught in a trap set by Floki.
