No Screening this Saturday, 2nd August 2025

No JAFWA screening until Saturday 9th August 2025!

Winter Hours:- 4:15PM->9:45PM

You could say that this is the Winter of our Discontent, as JAFWA endures its regular one Saturday a month break from screening anime. So for this week prepare to chill out dear wonderful attendees. Take this time to find and hopefully enjoy some of this thing called “Life” (sticky and organic as it is, currently in a freezing state).

If all else fails please be aware that all is not barren on the anime front. Come Thursday various cinemas will be screening the latest Detective Conan movie – “One Eyed Flashback”. Though check to see which sessions are subbed or dubbed.

If you strongly feel that JAFWA is neglecting certain well-deserving anime, please offer to sponsor a night of JAFWA and screen your favourites. If you don’t want to sponsor an entire night like both Lindsay and Elliot did previously, there is the other scheme for our signed up members. On the night nearest your birthday, as Greg and Sally did, you can nominate something to play during the Dinner Break (limited to 30 minutes max). You may have to help us source this material, so plan and inform us in advance please.

Below is the draft program for the evening of Saturday August 9th, 2025.
