No Screening this Saturday, 3rd May 2025

No JAFWA screening until Saturday 10th May 2025!

It is JAFWA‘s regular one Saturday a month break from screening anime. This allows you, our wonderful attendees, to enjoy some other “Life” (sticky and organic as it is) on the first Saturday of May, prior to Star Wars Day, Revenge of the Fifth and Return of the Sixth.
NOTE: your beloved JAFWA committee will be running a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle fundraiser for the club on Saturday 3rd May at Cannington Bunnings. So between voting for pollies, also come give your vote for JAFWA’s anime infused serving of a sausage in a bun (we booked May 3 before the PM).
If this thing full of politicians called “Life” gets too much for you, be aware that during the weekend you can support local artists at Tokyo Alley 13: Mystery at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. Or there is an anime styled movie starting in cinemas:

A Miku Who Can't Sing

WARNING! Starting next session, JAFWA will be operating in Winter Hours, basically 1 hour sooner than normal April hours. Account for this time change on May 10!

If you don’t think the anime JAFWA screens is good enough, please offer to sponsor a night of JAFWA and screen your favourites. If you don’t want to sponsor an entire night like both Lindsay and Elliot did last year, there is the other scheme for our signed up members. On the night nearest your birthday, as Greg and Sally did, you can nominate something to play during the Dinner Break (limited to 30 minutes max). You may have to help us source this material, so plan and inform us in advance please.

Below is the draft program for the evening of Saturday May 10th, 2025.
