Event Afternoon followed by Screening on Saturday 31st August 2024

Event Afternoon before JAFWA Screening

JAFWA has the hall from about 1PM to 4:30PM, where it is make our own amusement time.

Does anyone want hall space for nerf gun battles? Bring your own ping-pong? Table top games? Does anybody have their own game machine and games they want their fellow JAFWAites to play? JAFWA will bring out the projector and screen. I am not certain we have access to the outdoor area, but we will try to keep you off the street.
In the past people have brought along video games and the hardware to play them, and sewing machines for cosplay creating. What do you want to do? Just so long as it fun, legal, ethical, and we don’t scuff the floor of the Hall.

Screening on the evening of Saturday, August 31st 2024, after the Event Afternoon

With the ending of this last month of Winter (according to the Bureau of Meteorology) and you know what that means – it is the monthly Member’s Prize draw!
Also, we will be having quick survey during the Dinner Break to see which items are enjoyed by the membership, so please be honest and assign scalar values to your choices.

This week JAFWA doesn’t have room for any preview episodes, as we are screening a nice gentle movie set in a very interesting department store.
And we farewell “Undead Unluck”, as it comes to the end of this chapter of the story. Will more anime be forthcoming? Check our library for manga that reveals the story yet to be animated.
And we are still pained that last week “The Apothecary Diaries” finished with no clear timeline until the next season of the anime is made.

If you don’t want to sponsor an entire night like Lindsay did in March, and the one coming in November, there is the other scheme for our signed up members. On the night nearest your birthday, you can nominate something to play during the Dinner Break (limited to 30 minutes max). You may have to help us source this material, so plan in advance please.

And there is the end of year irregular screening to consider. What do you want to see in it?
