Once again, many thanks for those of you who attended the AGM last week. As for the Elections, you are stuck with the previous committee.

Now that we are comfortable in July, safely attending JAFWA, we can realax and take in our anime shows.
Due to unfortunate circumstances, we find that we do not have a preview episode ready for this week, to help expand your repertoire of anime. You will just have to watch an episode of “Demon Slayer” instead.

Cash for Containers

As people may have noticed, JAFWA collects the recyclable containers (cans and bottles) that are disposed of by our attendees. It helps in a small way.

• May to September 2022 — JAFWA’s Winter hours, where we start (~4:15PM) and finish (~9:45PM), an hour earlier than normal.

Log Horizon series III – Destruction of the Round Table

It’s been a year since Shiroe and his friends were trapped in Akiba due to the Catastrophe. Their forging of the Round Table has brought order and prosperity to its people. But fracturing political alliances and the constant menace of the Genius monsters threaten to destabilize all they’ve fought for and built.

This evening’s Episode: “The Round Table Fractures”

Shiroe and Naotsugu attend a meeting with Ein, Malves and Touri. In the occasion, Ein reveals his motives for seceding from the Round Table, affirming that the People of the Land’s lack of representativity on the conference’s decisions is unaccepted and that four other main guilds are also withdrawing from it. Shiroe also learns from Touri that both the Westlande Senate and Intics are conspiring to begin a war against Eastal and Akiba.

Spy x Family

In order to ensure World Peace, a master spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realising that the girl he adopts as his daughter is a telepath, and the woman he agrees to be in a marriage with is a skilled assassin.

This evening’s Episode: “Prepare for the Interview”

Now legally married, Yor moves in with Loid and Anya. Because Anya and Yor fail the mock interview, Loid organizes a family outing to various cultural activities to give them a better idea of what upper class family life is like. When he becomes distressed from losing faith in the success of his mission, Yor takes the family to a park to relax. There, they witness a thief robbing an old woman.

Deaimon

Nagomu is a man who left his home in Kyoto and his family’s confectionery shop when he became a musician. Upon hearing that his father has been hospitalized though, he comes back home to take over the family business. However, while he was gone, a young girl named Itsuka started working at the shop. The whereabouts of Itsuka’s parents is unknown, and she has no other relatives, and Nagomu finds himself as foster parent for Itsuka. Itsuka, on the other hand, dislikes Nagomu for abandoning the family to become a musician. She proclaims that it will be her who will take over the shop one day instead of Nagomu.

Tonight’s Episode: “Dancing in Autumn Colours”

Ryokushou hires a new apprentice, Kisaichi Hiiro, a serious young woman who is determined to work with her idol, Ryokushou’s employee Tatsumi Masa. She is unimpressed with Nagomu. Heigo worries Hiiro is obsessed with perfection. Tadashi orders sweets for his family’s next tea ceremony at the local school. Hiiro considers anything not directly related to sweet making pointless, so she struggles interacting with customers and insults Nagomu.

Lupin III part 6

The World’s greatest gentleman thief Lupin III, and cohorts, contending with detective Sherlock Holmes when Lupin becomes the top suspect in the murder of the former’s longtime partner, Dr. Watson. Lupin is also after a treasure hidden by The Raven, a mysterious organisation that manipulates the British government from the shadows

Tonight’s Episodes: “Fakes Attract Lies part 1 ”

Lupin visits the florist shop where Mattea has returned to work, and she explains that she is planning a holiday. Lupin sees a news item about Ms. Hazel, Republic of Cotornica’s rising politician who credits her missing private tutor, Tomoe, as the key to her success. Intrigued, Lupin takes his crew Cotornica to investigate and runs into Mattea. Lupin is photographed at her apartment causing a scandal for Hazel.

Steins; Gate

Rintaro Okabe is a self-proclaimed “mad scientist” who believes that an international organization is conspiring to reshape the world according to its own interests. He and his friend Itaru Hashida inadvertently create a gadget able to send messages to the past. The discovery and experimentation of this instrument become the catalyst of fundamental alterations to the present. Oblivious of the consequences of their actions, Rintaro and his friends end up creating modifications of grievous proportions. He must then try to find a way to return as close as possible to the original timeline in order to save his precious lab members.

Tonight’s Episodes: “Finalise Apoptosis ”

Despite Okabe knowing the location of the IBN 5100, Kurisu advises against trying to steal it, instead suggesting that he stake out the location to find FB, with Moeka deciding to join him. As they observe the IBN 5100 being taken out, they follow it as it is passed along to several people, including Yugo, before it ends up on a plane bound for France, where SERN is located.

Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) – season 2

Tanjiro Kamado is a kindhearted and intelligent boy who lives with his family, making money by selling charcoal. Everything changes when his family is attacked and slaughtered by demons (oni). Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the sole survivors of the incident. Nezuko has now become a demon, but still surprisingly shows signs of human emotion and thought. Tanjiro becomes a demon slayer to help his sister turn human again and to prevent the same tragedy that happened to him and his sister, from happening to others.

Tonight’s Episode: “Things Are Gonna Get Real Flashy!! ” Entertainment District arc

Tengen finds Hinatsuru on the outskirts of the district, having poisoned herself to escape but remained unable to contact him. Battling Daki by himself, Tanjiro tries to use his Hinokami Kagura but realizes the fatigue on his body is preventing him from fighting effectively. Elsewhere, Inosuke discovers an incredibly narrow passageway under his House, leading to a cavern which appears to serve as a holding cell, full of obi that Daki has used to absorb her victims.

To Your Eternity (Fumetsu no Anata e) season 1

An omnipotent narrator casts an orb of light to the Earth, watching as this entity copies the shape of a rock and then, many years later, mimics the moss on a rock. When a wolf dies beside the moss, it evolves, taking on the creature’s shape and gaining movement for the first time. As the wolf, the orb observes the dead wolf’s owner, a young man who lives alone on a frozen tundra. The time the orb spends with the boy leaves a mark on the entity as it observes, mimics, and bonds with the boy and then the other creatures it eventually comes across—all while transcending death and living for time immemorial.

Tonight’s Episode: “Wandering Rage”

The Nokkers now have power over the deceased, and Tonari and Fushi have difficulty in recognizing their dearest departed friends. As Fushi cowers in sorrow and fear, an obsessed Hayase forces him to make decision to save Tonari from the warrior woman’s lethal wrath to “negotiate” with Fushi, who promises to hear her out but only if she releases Tonari.

Golden Kamuy

Saichi Sugimoto, a survivor of the battle of 203 Hill in the Russo-Japanese War has become a miner in Hokkaido in order to provide for the widow of his dead comrade, Toraji. He hears a dubious story of hidden Ainu gold stashed by a criminal group, and accidentally finds clues to its location. He decides to search for the gold along with an Ainu girl, Asirpa, who rescues him from Hokkaido’s harsh northern wilderness. Though other parties are also hunting for the gold.

Tonight’s Episode: “Let’s Talk About the Past” season 2

The collected groups search Edogai’s workshop for a way to identify the fake tattoos, but are attacked by the 7th Division. The groups split up, with plans to reunite in Ashibetsu. Elsewhere, Tanigaki and Inkarmat agree to travel with the orphan Cikapasi. Hijikata makes plans to break into Abashiri Prison to question Nopperabo.

Summer Time Rendering

Upon hearing of Ushio’s death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend’s family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island.

Tonight’s Episode: “Drifting Ashore”

Mio decides they should save Shiori. At Shiori’s home, Shinpei finds dust piles proving Shiori’s parents were killed after the funeral, and that Shiori who attended the funeral was Shadow Shiori, suggesting Shiori had been killed before Shinpei arrived on the island. He attempts to trace the woman from the ferry but is unsuccessful. Tetsu, having been away on Shinpei’s fake police report, isn’t killed and so Shiori’s disappearance is investigated properly and a detective is invited from the mainland.

Attack On Titan (Shingeki ni Kyojin) season 4 part B

Young Eldian Warrior candidates Gabi Braun and Falco Grice, seeking to inherit Reiner’s Armored Titan four years after the failed mission to claim the Founding Titan. As Marley’s dominance over competing nations begins to weaken due to the development of anti-titan weaponry, they plan to invade Paradis to develop their military using the resources on the island and also recover the Founding Titan. However, Eren Yeager and the Survey Corps have reached the Marley shoreline

Tonight’s Episodes: “From You, 2,000 Years Ago”

Returning from Grisha’s memories, Zeke is horrified to learn that Eren purposely pushed Grisha to acquire the Founder and manipulated his past to ensure the future he had foreseen when touching Historia. Zeke commands Ymir to enact the euthanization plan, but Eren rips free from his chains to rush after Ymir as she advances toward the Coordinate. In a flashback to 2,000 years earlier, Ymir lived in a small rural village which was invaded by Eldians led by Fritz who enslaved the inhabitants.
