No Screening on Saturday 19th December 2020

No JAFWA until we return on January 9th, next year.

We hope everyne had a Merry Christmas, for next up is Happy New Year!, or as it is expressed in the traditional Japanese greeting – Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu!

While three regular series will continue screening (do we need to tell you which ones they are?), much of next year’s program will be new series starting from episode #1. We are going mainly with what was in the last survey results, though several of the more popular titles don’t seem to be having a release date in Japan before we start screening on January 9 th, so we obviously can’t screen those (unless Westlodge can be talked into lending us their time machine) until later. It looks like we will have a one-off item on the first night, until a couple of the series become available.
However, there is enthusiasm for the retro title of “Revolutionary Girl Utena” (aka Shoujo Kakumei Utena), so we expect that will be in the line up.

Below is the tentative program for the evening of Saturday January 9th, 2021. More details to be filled in in the weeks to come.
