Below is the program for the evening of January 21st, 2017.
Apologies for the issues last week. We really wanted to screen the original “Bubblegum Crisis” in our retro timeslot, but ended up substituting “Shingu / Muryou War Record” instead.
We will hold off on the retro timeslot this week, hopefully to sort out issues. But we will a couple of preview items to show instead.

Akagami no Shirayukihime – (Shirayuki (“Snow white”) princess of the red hair)

Shirayuki is a young pharmacist from the kingdom of Tanbarun who is cheerful, spirited and dedicated to her job. She also has brilliant red hair, which is very rare. When the first prince of Tanbarun decides to claim her unique beauty for himself, Shirayuki flees to the neighbouring kingdom of Clarines to start her life over. There may be eccentric nobility here as well, but there are also friends, and at least she can do her job.

This evening’s Episode:Inexperienced Heart, Going Deeper

Shirayuki meets Kiharu, a young girl who comes to the castle with her pet bird Popo to ask Zen to help protect the birds of Popo’s species of her home island who are threatened by local poaching. However, there is nothing Zen can do for Kiharu’s cause unless the birds can prove themselves useful for Clarines’ society, until Shirayuki comes with an idea.

Working!!! (season 3)

The little restaurant of Wagnaria has a very eccentric staff that, against all odds, keep the place running and the customers coming back. Amidst the scheming assistant chef, the blasé boss, the katana wielding head waitress, the androphobe and the freeloader is Takanashi Souta, a high school student lured into working here by his obsession with anything small and cute … like waitress Taneshima Popura.

This evening’s Episode:That Woman Shizuka

Mitsuki and Youhei deal with Kozue as she worries about being lonely, eventually giving their support after inadvertently upsetting her. Meanwhile, S?ta’s mother, Shizuka, returns home and shows an interest in S?ta’s love life, leaving him concerned for Mahiru’s safety.

Amaama to Inazuma (Sweetness and Lightning)

Kohei Inuzuka is a teacher and a recent widower, raising his young daughter alone. With a full time job keeping him busy, little Tsumugi has been getting mostly pre-packaged meals. But a chance encounter with one of his students, Kotori Iida, leads Kohei to take up cooking in order to provide proper meals for his daughter.

This evening’s Episode:Pork Soup and Restaurant Lights

Undecided about his student Kotori’s proposal about cooking and eating together, K?hei-sensei arranges to meet with Kotori’s mother, Megumi, to discuss first. Megumi ends up too busy to meet but Kotori convinces K?hei and Tsumugi to stay for dinner and help her cook pork soup. After enjoying the experience, K?hei decides to take up Kotori’s offer to cook dinner together.

Cocona, a cautious middle school girl, encounters an eccentric and headstrong girl named Papika. Together, they end up traveling to strange worlds known as Pure Illusions, where they must retrieve mysterious, amorphous fragments said to grant wishes.

This evening’s Episode:Pure Input

Cocona, an ordinary schoolgirl uncertain about her future career, meets a peculiar girl named Papika. Along with a robot named TT-392, the two girls fall into a tunnel and wind up in a snow-laden world known as Pure Illusion. Papika informs Cocona that she is searching for a treasure somewhere in Pure Illusion. But Cocona would like he glasses back.

Ore Monogatari! (My Love Story!)

Takeo Gouda is tall. No, Takeo Gouda is huge. He’s a high-schooler in a giant’s body. That’s been great for all the school sporting clubs he was part of, but less useful in his attempts to find love. But the real problem there is his handsome best friend Makoto Sunakawa, who ends up getting confessions from everyone Takeo likes. In fact it happens so often Takeo now expects it. And then one day, quite by accident, Takeo meets Rinko Yamato …

This evening’s Episode:My Mountain

Takeo and Rinko go on a picnic in the mountains to make up for her birthday being interrupted. When a hawk tries to steal the brooch Takeo had bought for Rinko, the pair end up falling off the mountainand winding up in an unknown part of the woods. As the pair try to make their way back to civilization, Rinko becomes anxious about having to spend the night alone with Takeo.


Kaizaki Arata is 27 years old and has held a full time job for a grand total of 3 months (quitting because it “wasn’t a fit for his talents”). He spends his days getting turned down at job interviews, lying to his friends about having a job, and moping around his apartment. When his parents finally get sick of sending him money he is thrown a lifeline by Yoake Ryou, a representative of the RELife Company. RELife gives jobless deadbeats like Arata a new lease on life… By giving them a pill that makes them look like teenagers again and having them repeat high school.

Tonight’s Episode:Communication Skills: Zero

Arata becomes acquainted with his classmates Kazuomi, An, and Rena who sit next to him. Rena has a competitive nature, and is disappointed about losing the position of class representative to fellow classmate Chizuru. Arata formally meets Chizuru during lunch, but can he properly empathise with a teenager?

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (Yamada and the Seven Witches)

Ryuu Yamada’s, well deserved, reputation as a delinquent is no longer his biggest problem. After an accident on the stairs causes himself and the school’s top student Urara Shiraishi to swap bodies, the discovery of this strange ability makes his life a great deal more complicated. But for the gruff, friendless Yamada, spending some time literally in other people’s shoes might not be such a bad thing..

Tonight’s Episode:Tricot

When he receives a kiss from student council vice-president Nene Odagiri, Yamada discovers that he has not swapped bodies. He and Miyamura try to confirm this by kissing when Miyabi It? arrives, much to their embarrassment. They explain that it is an initiation for the club, so Ito surprisingly kisses Yamada. Later Miyamura and Ito find themselves idolizing and fawning over Yamada, much to his embarrassment.

Himekawa Koyuki plays a popular social game known as the Magical Girl Raising Project, that secretly has the ability to grant players a 1-in-10,000 chance of becoming a real-life magical girl. Each of the magical girls possess unique abilities and earn Magical Candies by protecting people and performing good deeds. However, shortly after Himekawa Koyuki becomes the magical girl Snow White, the administration has decided that sixteen magical girls in a certain city is too many, and the number needs to be reduced…

Tonight’s Episode:“Welcome to a World of Dreams and Magic!”

While playing a smartphone game known as Magical Girl Raising Project, Koyuki Himekawa, a middle school girl who loves magical girls, is chosen by the mascot character, Fav, to become a real magical girl known as Snow White. As Snow White uses her ability to hear people in danger and help them, she uses her Magical Phone to talk to the other magical girls residing in N-City.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Re: Life in a Different World from Zero)

Being teleported to a fantasy world means you’re the chosen one, right? Natsuki Subaru certainly thought so, but it seems he’s not the fated hero, he’s just another guy in a world full of wizards, warriors and demi-humans. Still, there are decent people in this world and Subaru quickly finds people willing to lend him a hand, people he wants to help in return. But how can a mere high school student hope to challenge the monstrous and magical forces of this world? After all he only gets one shot at this, right?

Tonight’s Episode:The Meaning of Courage

Subaru visits the village with Ram and Rem with the purpose of finding the culprit. When the three return from the village, Roswaal leaves for the night, which did not happen in the previous timelines. Subaru sees Beatrice to confirm that he was cursed and to locate where it was applied to on his body. Having traced the curse to the dog that bit him, Subaru realizes that the children are in danger and that night, he returns to the village with Rem.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken – Stardust Crusaders (Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure – Stardust Crusaders)

It’s 1989. Fifty odd years have passed since Joseph Joestar did battle with the immortal Pillar Men and now his
Japanese grandson, Jotaro Kujo, finds his life turned upside down. A strange new ability awakens within his
bloodline, granting him great power but threatening to kill his mother.

… An ancient enemy of the family has returned.

Tonight’s Episode:Death 13, part 2

Mannish Boy confirms Kakyoin’s suspicions but manages to hide the evidence so that the others do not believe Kakyoin, even after he shows them the message on his arm, Kakyoin attempts to attack Mannish Boy, but he is knocked out by Polnareff, who believes Kakyoin has gone insane. Then it is time for sleep, perchance to dream…
