No Screening

There will be no JAFWA screening on December 31st – it is party season! Then we respectfully see in the New Year.
JAFWA is on our End of Year break until January 14th.

Enjoy the Holidays, Festive Celebrations, and New Year!
Remember that the second season of Attack on Titan is coming https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHFDmIryKHg.

But if you need some good anime in your life before the next JAFWA (and who doesn’t?), see below:

PIAF Film Screening – The Red Turtle

Studio Ghibli teamed up with Dutch animators to create the masterpiece of visual storytelling “The Red Turtle” – a film about love, life and death in the natural world, and the forces within and beyond our control. A shipwrecked sailor is stranded on a small deserted island, and his wordless attempts to leave, witnessed by the local wildlife.

The Perth International Arts Festival is bringing a limited screening of The Red Turtle to UWA’s Somerville Auditorium on January 1st, and Joondalup Pines from the 3rd to the 8th.

Tokyo Anime & Culture Tour

As announced at the last JAFWA screening, a 7 day guided tour of anime in and around Tokyo (including Ghibli Museum, Akihabara, Tokyo Tower, Pokemon Centre, and Gundam Front) is being arranged for 2017, March 23-29. It is for 6~8 people, and you need to book by December 31.
