No Screening this Saturday, 2nd November 2024

No JAFWA screening until Saturday 9^th November 2024!

With the ending of October we realise that we are just about to start the month of November, which will be the final month of regular screening program for 2024. Though panic not, as JAFWA returns with a new regular program in January 2025.
But when JAFWA returns on the 9^th, we will have a slightly different program for that night only. It seems that long time JAFWA member Elliot, on the occasion of his approaching birthday has chosen to sponsor a night of some of his favourite anime episodes. Come along and enjoy this anime otaku’s selection!

Though many of our members might be experimenting with this (possibly over-rated) thing called “Life” this weekend, be aware that you can still get a taste of the JAFWA goodness by going down to the Cannington Bunnings of Saturday 2^nd Nov. It is here you will find the JAFWA crew cooking up and serving a sausage sizzle to help keep JAFWA financially afloat. Come down and give us a good word and get a delicious sausage in a bun.

If you don’t want to sponsor an entire night like Lindsay did in March, or Elliot’s one in November, there is the other scheme for our signed up members. On the night nearest your birthday, you can nominate something to play during the Dinner Break (limited to 30 minutes max). You may have to help us source this material, so plan and inform us in advance please.

• Monday November 25^th 2024, ~6:30PM — Luna Double Feature at Luna Cinemas Leederville – “Howl’s Moving Castle” and “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind” $15.
• Tuesday November 26^th 2024 — Hatsune Miku world concert series Miku Expo at RAC Arena. Tickets selling fast.
• Saturday November 30^th 2024 — Before JAFWA’s last regular screening this calendar year, we will have the Hall from 1PM for make your own fun Event Afternoon.
• from Thursday December 5^th 2024, — various cinemas screening the anime movie Ghost Cat Anzu.
• Saturday December 14^th 2024, normal Summer hours — JAFWA’s End of Year (2024) screening. Irregular program, suggestions of what anime to show are welcome.
• December 21^st 2024 to January 11^th 2025 — JAFWA takes a break over Summer to recharge and enjoy the Holiday Season and Festivities.
• Saturday January 18^th 2025, normal Summer hours — JAFWA’s glorious return with all new regular program!
