No Screening this Saturday, 5th October 2024

No JAFWA screening until Saturday 12th October 2024!

September has ended as has the Winter Hours, for with the coming of October JAFWA will be enjoying it usual hours. So when you come to embrace our anime screening on the 12th remember that we are starting just after 5PM.

While you wait this JAFWA weekend off, be aware the things aren’t entirely bleak on the anime front. Assorted cinemas last week started showing the anime movie Trapezium. And this coming Saturday for those of us without enough fannish stuff is Nexus Toy and Collectors Fair from 9AM to 12PM at 34 Kent St, East Victoria Park WA. And dare we forget Anime in the Valley over the weekend, at Swan Settlers Market in Herne Hill.

If you don’t want to sponsor an entire night like Lindsay did in March, and the one coming in November, there is the other scheme for our signed up members. On the night nearest your birthday, you can nominate something to play during the Dinner Break (limited to 30 minutes max). You may have to help us source this material, so plan and inform us in advance please.
