No Screening this Saturday, 6th June 2026

No JAFWA screening until Saturday 13th June 2026!

On Saturday June 6th we are taking our once-a-month weekend off to refresh and fortify ourselves. According to the Bureau of Meteorology the start of June marks the beginning of the Season of Winter. JAFWA has prepared for this by moving to Winter Hours screening times (starting at ~4:15PM and running through to ~9:45PM).
And a warning that weather may be more inclement for the next few months, leaving thankful that we are in the Collins St Community Hall protected from said inclement weather, and warmed by our love of anime.

If you strongly feel that JAFWA is neglecting certain well-deserving anime, please offer to sponsor a night of JAFWA and screen your favourites. If you don’t want to sponsor an entire night like both Lindsay and Elliot did previously, there is the other scheme for our signed up members. On the night nearest your birthday, as Greg and Sally did, you can nominate something to play during the Dinner Break (limited to 30 minutes max). You may have to help us source this material, so plan and inform us in advance please.

Below is the draft program for the evening of Saturday June 13th, 2026.
