No Screening this Saturday, 1st November 2025

No JAFWA screening until Saturday 8th November 2025!

Spring is definitely here in Australia, though some would say it is more concentrated in the Eastern States.
We are currently “enjoying” our regular one Saturday a month break from screening anime. So for this week prepare to chill out dear wonderful attendees. Take this time to find and hopefully enjoy some of this thing called “Life” (sticky and organic as it is).
If all else fails, the local cinema listings and you may find an anime movie or two. Demon Slayer is proving persistent, and Chainsaw Man came out recently.

If you strongly feel that JAFWA is neglecting certain well-deserving anime, please offer to sponsor a night of JAFWA and screen your favourites. If you don’t want to sponsor an entire night like both Lindsay and Elliot did previously, there is the other scheme for our signed up members. On the night nearest your birthday, as Greg and Sally did, you can nominate something to play during the Dinner Break (limited to 30 minutes max). You may have to help us source this material, so plan and inform us in advance please.
Note that Feb 14, 2026 is already reserved.
