Screening on Saturday 14th November 2020

November has started, the final month in the countdown to JAFWA’s 30th Aniversary celebrations. Rejoice!
Still, this week will be a normal, regular screening continue here at JAFWA. Which is not to be ignored.

With the end of the year in sight, we need to start planning JAFWA’s next year program. As an assist, this week JAFWA shall have two preview episodes of other anime to allow our dear JAFWAites the opportunity to make an informed vote as to next year’s preferred new shows. Though the vote won’t be for a couple of weeks.

Tonikaku Kawaii Moriarty the Patriot

JAFWA’s 30th Aniversary is quickly approaching, and a reminder that we may still have a limited number of tickets for an authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony on the day. Buy your $10 ticket early! as they are going fast. President Drew may still have some to sell this week.

As a side note, quite a few people seem to think 2020 is not a very good year. Be aware that we have entered the new calendar season, and some Japanese calendars have been listed already, such as here and here. I have already taken an order. Do you also want to be cheered up by 2021?

We continue taking precautions to limit the possible second wave of Corona, and we ask that you co-operate and even help where possible with our efforts to keep you safe – some social distancing, extra cleaning with antiseptic, library under limited access, etc. Also, we must ask that anyone unfortunate enough to be infected to not attend JAFWA until they are contagion free.
Help would be welcome during set-up and pack-up due to the extra duties imposed by COVID-19. Set Up begins ~4:45pm, while the Screening should begin at 5:15pm, or later should the set-up not yet be complete. Please arrive early to confirm personal details due to COVID 19 regulations. And we need to wipe the chairs down before they are stacked away.
