Below is the program for the evening of Saturday March 30^th, 2019. Being the last screening of the calendar month, we will have both our monthly Member’s Proze draw, as well as a survey to see how you rate the various shows we have been screening.

This week we will not show preview episode of some different anime, instead we will show the marvelous Studio Ghibli movie from 2002 – “Neko no Ongaeshi”, whose official English title is “The Cat Returns”.

JAFWA will be doing a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle fundraiser on Saturday May 4^th, 2019. Volunteers to help will be appreciated.

Irozuka Sekai no Ashita kara (Iroduku: The World in Colours)

In Nagasaki, a descendant of mages, 17-year-old Hitomi lost her sense of colour at a young age and grew up lacking emotion. Her grandmother Kohaku, a great mage, sends Hitomi 60 years into the past, to the year 2018. There, she spends time with a 17-year-old Kohaku and friends from school club activities.

This evening’s Episode: “Wandering Words ”

Yamabuki decides to take Hitomi around per her request to take photos of the city in this era, though he will confess something that makes Hitomi run away in a panic. What can she do? It doesn’t help that fellow student Asagi also has something to say about Yamabuki.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These (aka Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu Die Neue These Kaikou)

In humanity’s distant future, two interstellar states – the monarchic Galactic Empire and the democratic Free Planets Alliance – are embroiled in a never-ending war. The story focuses on the exploits of rivals Reinhard von Lohengramm and Yang Wen-li as they rise to power and fame in the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance respectively.

This evening’s Episode: “The Castrop Rebellion ”

A new admiralty is created for Reinhard. He chooses commoners and lesser nobles to command his fleets: August Samuel Wahlen, Cornelius Lutz, Karl Gustav Kempf, Fritz Josef Bittenfeld, Ernest Mecklinger, Wolfgang Mittermeyer and Oskar von Reuenthal. Meanwhile, Maximilian von Kastrop has rebelled against the Empire. He thinks he is safe because of the “Artemis Necklace”, a system of powerfully armed satellites built with the help of Phezzan.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime)

Living alone and never having had a girlfriend, 37-year-old Satoru Mikami is dissatisfied with how his life has turned out. But after dying at the hands of a robber, he awakens to a fresh start in a new world…as the lowest of the low – a slime monster.

Tonight’s Episode: “Attack of the Ogres ”

As Rimuru familiarises himself with the form and abilities he inherited from Shizu, the goblins come under attack by a group of ogres, who claim Rimuru has been manipulating orcs to attack their village. How much show of force does he need to make the ogres listen to reason?

Yakuza member Yoshifumi Nitta, ends up taking care of a mysterious girl with telekinetic powers named Hina who inexplicably appeared in his apartment. Even though she threatens him with her extraordinary powers.

Tonight’s Episode: “Life is about Survival ”

Security chief Kei Ikaruga decides to summon Mao from her organization to bring an extra transport pod to return Hina back to the future, but Mao drops on a deserted island and accidentally loses both her orb and her spare in the surf.

Movie – Neko no Ongaeshi (The Cat Returns)

Haru Yoshioka is a quiet and shy high school students, a normal girl in a normal town. One day, she saves a strange cat carrying a present from being hit by a truck on a busy road. The cat she saved surprises her by speaking, and turns out to be Lune, Prince of the Cat Kingdom. As a thanks, the Kingdom cats give Haru gifts of catnip and mice, and she is offered the Prince’s hand in marriage. As she finds that a bit too much, Haru-chan gets into contact with the Cat Business Office. Together with CBO’s owner, the Baron, she enters the Cat Kingdom to try and prevent her marriage.

After falling in battle with the Goblin Champion, Goblin Slayer awakens in the Temple of Law, having been healed with a Resurrection miracle. The high priestess Sword Maiden, one of the heroes who slew the previous Demon King, confides why she is deathly afraid of goblins. Once recovered, Goblin Slayer and Priestess rejoin High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman, and Lizardman Priest in scouring the sewers of goblins. In his quest to rid the world of goblins, Goblin Slayer has learnt many things from many people, adapting themn to his needs. Finally, his adventuring party find a clue, in the form of a magical device that is transporting goblins to Water Town’s sewers. Can they cut off the threat at the source?

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken – Ougen no Kaze (Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure – Golden Wind)

Set in 2001, two years after the events of Diamond is Unbreakable, Koichi Hirose is sent to Italy and tasked by Jotaro Kujo to search for Giorno Giovanna, an aspiring mafia gangster who is a son of Dio Brando. But as Dio possessed the body of Jonathan Joestar at time of his conception, Giorno is technically a Joestar and takes more after them than the father he never knew. The series follows Giorno as he joins the mafia organization Passione, moving up through its ranks with the intention of becoming its boss to improve life in Italy.

Tonight’s Episodes: “Hitman Team ”

Narancia discovers that he is slowly shrinking due to the wound the enemy stand Little Feet had inflicted on him. When Formaggio prevents him from using a public telephone to call Bucciarati’s group, he realizes Formaggio is nearby. Aerosmith relentlessly tracks Formaggio and forces him down into the sewer. What is Formaggio’s story, and interest in the Boss’s long lost daughter Trish?
