Below is the program for the evening of Saturday March 9^th, 2019. I expect that some people will be in a rush after attending the Perth Japan Festival in Forrest Chase.

This week we let you watch all your favourite regular anime, without any interruptions from preview episodes. Don’t say we don’t vary the program. Though for those of you who enjoy seeing more samples of the wide variety of anime Japan produces, the preview episodes will resume next week.

Irozuka Sekai no Ashita kara (Iroduku: The World in Colours)

In Nagasaki, a descendant of mages, 17-year-old Hitomi lost her sense of colour at a young age and grew up lacking emotion. Her grandmother Kohaku, a great mage, sends Hitomi 60 years into the past, to the year 2018. There, she spends time with a 17-year-old Kohaku and friends from school club activities.

This evening’s Episode: “Golden Fish ”

Aoi tells Hitomi about the golden fish that appeared, recalling how it was featured in some of his drawings before, but its first appearance was in an art competition in elementary school where he won first place with it. Having known Aoi since elementary school, Yamabuki shows Hitomi a photo of it, but this unexpectedly gets Asagi jealous again after seeing the two walk together. The next day, Kurumi holds a photo shoot where everyone dresses up in formal wear and take photos outside, but Hitomi accidentally wanders into Aoi’s drawing.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These (aka Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu Die Neue These Kaikou)

In humanity’s distant future, two interstellar states – the monarchic Galactic Empire and the democratic Free Planets Alliance – are embroiled in a never-ending war. The story focuses on the exploits of rivals Reinhard von Lohengramm and Yang Wen-li as they rise to power and fame in the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance respectively.

This evening’s Episode: “Birth of the 13th Fleet ”

Commodore Yang Wen-Li has become guardian to the orphan Julian, who is proving to be very capable. Even though defeated at the battle of Astarte, the FPA are placing a lot of confidence in the “hero” who saved the fleet. Not so much for his old friend Jessica Edwards, who has some words to say regarding an FPA leader. Rear-Admiral Yang’s reward – an impossible mission.

Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous)

In a possibly future Earth inhabited by jewels that take the form of people, Phosphophyllite (Phos) is weak (with one of the lowest hardnesses) and considered useless by their peers. Phos asks their aloof but wise colleague Cinnabar for help after they receive an assignment to create a history encyclopedia, thus begin their friendship and personal growth. Meanwhile, the “jewel people” have to keep defending themselves against the Lunarians who want to take advantage of their luxury value.

This evening’s Episode: “Hibernation ”

The loss of the Amethysts prevents Phos going to sleep with the other Lustrous as they undergo winter hibernation. Phos joins up with Antarcticite, who serves as the only Lustrous on duty during the winter.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime)

Living alone and never having had a girlfriend, 37-year-old Satoru Mikami is dissatisfied with how his life has turned out. But after dying at the hands of a robber, he awakens to a fresh start in a new world…as the lowest of the low – a slime monster.

Tonight’s Episode: “Conqueror of Flames ”

Shizu’s summoner, the demon king Leon Cromwell, has made her the vessel of the fire spirit Ifrit. Just as Shizu prepares to leave with the adventurers, Ifrit once again takes control of her and unleashes his flames upon the village. Does Rimuru have anything that can defeat Ifrit?

Hinamatsuri

Yakuza member Yoshifumi Nitta, ends up taking care of a mysterious girl with telekinetic powers named Hina who inexplicably appeared in his apartment. Even though she threatens him with her extraordinary powers.

Tonight’s Episode: “Nitta-san Has a Dandy Dad ”

Nitta gets called back home by his mother and sister to pay respects to his late father. However, after Hina answers the phone, Nitta comes up with an increasingly complex lie to explain her presence. Meanwhile, the homeless encampment is about to be demolished by the local government.

Lupin the Third – Part V

The series is set in modern-day France, and follows the thief Arsène Lupin III, and his associates the marksman Daisuke Jigen, the swordsman Goemon Ishikawa XIII, the con artist Fujiko Mine along with his nemesis Inspector Koichi Zenigata, and are joined by the Ami Enan, a teenage hacker.

Tonight’s Episode: “Her Relationship With Lupin ”

Betrayed by Dolma, Lupin and Ami escape with the aid of Fujiko, who has also claimed the Bloody Teardrop. King Rajahara Sinha has gone into hiding, whereupon the revolutionists declare martial law in the city in order to capture him and force him to abdicate.

Sword Art Online: Alicization

Kazuto has been recruited to assist in testing an experimental FullDive machine, Soul Translator (STL), which has an interface that is far more realistic and complex than the previous machine he had played to help develop an artificial intelligence for the Ministry of Defense (MOD) named A.L.I.C.E. He tests the STL by entering a virtual reality cyberspace created with The Seed package, named UnderWorld (UW). In the UW, the flow of time proceeds a thousand times faster than in the real world, and Kirito’s memories of what happens inside are restricted.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Sage of the Library ”

Eugeo and Kirito face off against an Integrity Knight named Eldrie after they run away from prison, but Eugeo recognises him as someone else. They both run towards a dead end, where a warp gate appears in front of them, taking them to a grand library.

Overlord season II

Since appearing in another world, Ains has sent out daily commands as the ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. He also maintains his alter-ego Momon, the strongest adventurer in E-Rantel, to gather funds and keep an ear to the ground. He sets out on quests considered suitable for a adamantite class adventurer, like defeating the Gigant Basilisk.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Final Battle of the Disturbance ”

Evileye requests Momon’s help to defeat Jaldabaoth, to which he obliges. Momon (Ainz) proves himself to be Jaldabaoth’s (Demiurge’s) equal while defending Evileye at the same time, which results in Evileye developing romantic feelings for Momon.

Goblin Slayer

In a world of fantasy, adventurers come far and wide to join the Guild, in order to complete contracts for whatever jobs are available. An inexperienced priestess joins her first adventuring party, but comes into danger after her first adventurer contract involving goblins goes wrong. After the rest of her party is wiped out, she is saved by a man known as Goblin Slayer, an adventurer whose only purpose is the eradication of goblins with extreme prejudice. And when rumors of his feats begin to circulate, there’s no telling who might come calling next.

Tonight’s Episode: “Goblin Slayer in the Water Town ”

Goblin Slayer and the rest of the party journey to Water Town, where they meet the retired hero Sword Maiden, who helped to defeat the previous Demon Lord. Sword Maiden informs them there have been a string of violent murders in the town recently, and they suspect the culprits are goblins in the town’s sewer system.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken – Ougen no Kaze (Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure – Golden Wind)

Set in 2001, two years after the events of Diamond is Unbreakable, Koichi Hirose is sent to Italy and tasked by Jotaro Kujo to search for Giorno Giovanna, an aspiring mafia gangster who is a son of Dio Brando. But as Dio possessed the body of Jonathan Joestar at time of his conception, Giorno is technically a Joestar and takes more after them than the father he never knew. The series follows Giorno as he joins the mafia organization Passione, moving up through its ranks with the intention of becoming its boss to improve life in Italy.

Tonight’s Episodes: “Sex Pistols Appears, Part 1 ”

Bucciarati’s gang take some delight in trying to beat information out of Zucchero, but without success. Abbacchio then uses his Stand Moody Blues replay to discover that Zucchero’s partner is already waiting for their boat on the island of Capri.
