No Screening until Saturday January 27^th, 2018

Apologies, as we meant to screen this week on Saturday January 20^th, however the Hall maintenance people have chosen this week to resurface the floor of the Hall, meaning we won’t have access to it.
Still, the floor should be nice and shiny for us when we return on the 27^th.

If you can’t wait an extra week for anime, be aware that the excellent anime movie Mary and the Witch’s Flower Will be a select cinemas from Thursday. I am given to understand that there will be sessions in the original Japanese with English subtitles, and sessions dubbed into English, so check carefully which one you go to.

If you would like to get involved a bit more, be aware that JAFWA is looking for some volunteers to help out at a couple of functions.
Firstly, we are finalising plans to run a ‘cool room’ at MadFest on the first week of March, and we are looking for a couple of volunteers to do a half-day shift to help run it.
Secondly, JAFWA is planning on doing a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on May 5th for fundraising purposes. Does anyone wish to help cook sausages in a bun, and even < shock/horror > help serve the general public< / shock/horror >?
