Synopsis

Atom: The Beginning

This series is a prequel to Osamu Tezuka’s “Astro Boy” series, depicting the events up until the birth of Astro Boy.

This evening’s Episode: “Lab 7’s Annihilation!”

At the Tsutsumi residence Motoko tells her brother Moriya about Lab 7’s accomplishments, to which he reminds her not to get involved. Still she remains adamant about making Hiroshi fall for her. to which Moriya hints what if Hiroshi were to disappear next day. Motoko visits Lab 7, where Hiroshi and Umataro are fighting over A106’s state, a fight that might end Lab 7.

Little Witch Academia

Akko Kagari enrolls into Luna Nova Academy, a school for young witches, after being inspired at a young age by a witch named Shiny Chariot, and often spends her days hanging with her classmates, Lotte and Sucy. However, she has trouble paying attention in class, doesn’t know how to ride her broom, and is often looked down upon for admiring Chariot, whom many believe gives the wrong impression about witches.

This evening’s Episode: “Blue Moon”

Akko comes to Ursula late at night to ask her about Chariot’s disappearance, but doesn’t get much help from her. Meanwhile, the teachers of Luna Nova discuss how magic is literally disappearing from the world and Diana looks into the history behind an ancient power that the “Nine Olde Witches” sealed centuries ago.

Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari (The Golden Furball of Udon Country) (aka Poco’s Udon World)

S?ta Tawara was the son of a noodle restaurant owner. Born and raised in Kagawa Prefecture (a.k.a the Udon Prefecture), he had been living an uneventful life in Tokyo as a web designer. After his father’s demise he returns home to find the restaurant having gone out of business and a young boy that he names Poco hiding there. He grows fond of him and decides to take care of him and constantly worries about what would happen to Poco once he leaves. He regrets leaving his home and his father because of his selfishness and mentions it to his big sister when she expresses her regret of being unable give their father a grandchild. His time spent with Poco often reminds him of how his father lovingly took care of him, which further adds to his regrets.

This evening’s Episode: “Ritsurin Garden”

Now that S?ta has returned for good to his home town in Kagawa, he needs to make the proper arrangements and introductions. And learn how to be a parent to Poco. A chance situation has him watching Nozomi-chan and taking her and Poco to Ritsurin Gardens where a Gaogao-chan live action show is scheduled to occur.

retro series – Gunsmith Cats

19-year-old Irene “Rally” Vincent, an expert combat shooter and marksman with just about every firearm in existence, as well as a brilliant driver, operates the titular “Gunsmith Cats” gun shop but also works as a bounty hunter. She is assisted in both activities by her housemate, former prostitute “Minnie” May Hopkins, an explosives expert.

Tonight’s Episode: “Swing High!”

A Russian contract killer named Radinov assassinates Jonathan Washington. While the Gunsmith Cats are investigating a gun shipment in Michigan, Radinov tangles with them, leading to a lengthy car chase and violent gun battle.

Tatara Fujita is a third year middle school student who does not know what he wants to do in the future, nor has a hobby. He accidentally entered the Ogasawara Dance Studio after being saved from delinquents, and becomes hooked with dance, ready to plunge into the world of competitive dancing. While he is difficult to be taught with words, Tatara is good at duplicating dance moves he has seen.

Tatara is ready to finish junior high school, but he still has no idea or passion for what he wants to do in the future. One day he notices a fellow aimless student enter a mysterious studio and follows her in. Can he grab at the opportunity to change himself?

Lupin III (series 4 from 2015)

The internationally infamous Arsène Lupin, master thief and unrepentant womanizer, continues to seek out ever more challenging heists to pull off. With him goes an eccentric band of misfits; Jigen the scruffy sharpshooter, Fujiko the femme fatal of dubious loyalty, and Goemon the stoic swordsman. Determined to put Lupin and his cohorts in prison for the seemingly endless list burglaries and thefts they have already pulled off.

Tonight’s Episode: “With a Gun in my Hand”

Jigen finds himself in a town where a dangerous boss, Eric, punishes anyone holding a firearm by wounding them so severely that they’ll die an agonizing death. A lot of trouble to go through for an emergency tooth-ache.

Souta Mizushino is a young high school student and anime fan who dreams of writing his own light novel. While looking to an anime for inspiration, the iPad he is watching it on sputters and drags him into the anime’s world, where he witness a battle between the anime’s character Selesia and a mysterious girl wearing a military uniform. After returning with Selesia, S?ta discovers that other characters from different stories and forms of media were also brought to the real world, with some of them aligned with the military uniform girl, who promised them the ways to end the strife in their worlds and a way back home, unaware of her true intentions.

Tonight’s Episode: “Young Girls, Life is Short so Fall in Love You are the one who knows where justice lies.”

Souta may have found the identity of the Military Uniform Princess, but is reluctant to share this information. A new fictional character has entered this world, Magane Chikujouin, an antagonist from the light novel and anime series Record of the Night Window Demon, wanders around Tokyo killing those that annoy her. Both sides try to contact and recruit her first.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! (God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World)

Kazuma Satou wasn’t looking for anything beyond his simple high school shut-in existence. But one untimely death later and he finds himself before the goddess Aqua with the chance to be deposited in a fantasy kingdom that is in need of heroes to defeat a demon lord. Things don’t look good from the moment he arrives and so Kazuma decides to ditch the whole “save the world” thing and just try to become rich and live comfortably. Unfortunately, the various eccentric companions he is saddled with aren’t really helping with that goal.

Tonight’s Episode: “This Self-Proclaimed Goddess and Reincarnation in Another World”

After meeting an untimely death, Kazuma Satou is greeted by the goddess Aqua who offers to send him to a reality with MMORPG elements to battle the Devil King there. Given the choice of anything to arm himself with, Kazuma chooses Aqua herself, much to Aqua’s dismay. And perhaps Kazuma, for she is not a particularly useful goddess. And here come the Devil King’s minions.

Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho (Starting the Magical Book from Zero/Grimoire of Zero)

Zero is a witch who is ignorant of the world and travels with a half-beast half-human mercenary who longs to be human. Witches and their sorcery are notorious throughout the land, though knowledge of the existence of magic remains elusive. Zero is going on a journey to search for a magical tome called “The Book of Zero” that hides a power that can destroy the world. The mercenary travels with her as her guard.

Tonight’s Episode: “Witch-Hunting”

The witch, Albus, accepts his defeat and decides to join the Mercenary and Zero on their trip. When they stop at a nearby stream to rest, Albus spots a ring in the water and keeps it. The group tries to rest in a nearby village, but after seeing the ring, the villagers accuse Albus of stealing it.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken – Stardust Crusaders (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure – Stardust Crusaders)

It’s 1989. Fifty odd years have passed since Joseph Joestar did battle with the immortal Pillar Men and now his Japanese grandson, Jotaro Kujo, finds his life turned upside down. A strange new ability awakens within his bloodline, granting him great power but threatening to kill his mother.

… An ancient enemy of the family has returned.

Tonight’s Episode: “D’Arby the Player, part 1”

The man who introduces himself as Dio’s butler reveals himself to be D’Arby’s younger brother Terence T. D’Arby, brings out his Stand Atum to drag Jotaro, Kakyoin, and Joseph into an illusory world. There, D’Arby reveals a collection of dolls which, similar to his brother’s poker chips, contain to souls of people he has defeated.
