Synopsis

Atom: The Beginning

This series is a prequel to Osamu Tezuka’s “Astro Boy” series, depicting the events up until the birth of Astro Boy.

This evening’s Episode: “Welcome to Nerima U Festival”

Ummataro declares the lab 7 will be putting up an Udon Noodle stall for Nerima University festival while others question his choice of selection; Meanwhile in dark alleys a sketchy guy talking on the phone informs the person on other end that a program is ready to go he will hand it over, the person on the phone asks him to beware of ICE (international Criminal Enforcement).

Little Witch Academia

Akko Kagari enrolls into Luna Nova Academy, a school for young witches, after being inspired at a young age by a witch named Shiny Chariot, and often spends her days hanging with her classmates, Lotte and Sucy. However, she has trouble paying attention in class, doesn’t know how to ride her broom, and is often looked down upon for admiring Chariot, whom many believe gives the wrong impression about witches.

This evening’s Episode: “Undead Travelogue / Blytonbury Undead Travelogue”

While trying to fix some tombstones that she knocked over while at a graveyard in the nearby town of Blytonbury, Akko accidentally mixes a repair spell she was using with one of Sucy’s mushrooms, which ends up bringing a deceased soldier back from the dead. The girls find themselves chasing the soldier across town.

Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari (The Golden Furball of Udon Country) (aka Poco’s Udon World)

Souta Tawara was the son of a noodle restaurant owner. Born and raised in Kagawa Prefecture (a.k.a the Udon Prefecture), he had been living an uneventful life in Tokyo as a web designer. After his father’s demise he returns home to find the restaurant having gone out of business and a young boy that he names Poco hiding there. He grows fond of him and decides to take care of him and constantly worries about what would happen to Poco once he leaves. He regrets leaving his home and his father because of his selfishness and mentions it to his big sister when she expresses her regret of being unable give their father a grandchild. His time spent with Poco often reminds him of how his father lovingly took care of him, which further adds to his regrets.

This evening’s Episode: “Chicken on the Bone”

Dr Shinobu Nakaji is worried about his childhood friend Souta, and his avoiding work and looking after Poco. But is Nakaji using these concerns to avoid his own family concerns? And can the tanuki Poco bridge the gap between human and human?

retro series – Read or Die

An alternate history world where the British Empire has remained a major superpower. The Empire’s continued existence is guaranteed by the British Library, an external intelligence agency working within the actual British Library and its Special Operations Division. We follow the adventures of Yomiko Readman, also known as “The Paper”, a superhuman agent of the Library’s Special Operations.

Tonight’s Episode: “episode Three”

The I-Jin have revealed their base, and the British Library has worked out the dastardly plan to use Beethoven’s music to murder the world. Can the British Library Special Forces manage to invade the artificial island and stop the rocket, while one of their number, Miss Deep/Nancy, has been revealed to be an I-Jin double agent.

An orphan girl named Riko who lives in the town of ?su on an island in the sea of Beoluska. The city surrounds a strange, giant hole going deep into the earth, which is commonly called the Abyss. The Abyss harbors artefacts and remnants of a civilisation long gone, and is therefore the popular hunting spot for so-called Cave Raiders, who undertake arduous and dangerous descends into the mist-filled pit to recover whatever relics they can find.
However, the deeper one goes into the Abyss, the more one is afflicted by a progressively fatal malady called the Curse of the Abyss; few who have descended into the lower regions have returned to tell of their experiences.

Tonight’s Episode: “The City of the Great Pit”

Little Orphan Riko is digging for artefacts at a safe level, hoping to find enough artefacts to be promoted. An attack by a creature from the depths is almost certain doom, until she is saved by a robot boy. Can she keep this valuable secret safe?

In the distant future, the discovery of the new mineral Orichalt has allowed humanity to expand beyond the Sol System. On the constant lookout for Orichalt, humanity has developed I-Machines, robots that operate in extreme environments. I-Machines function by transferring a human pilot’s consciousness into the robot’s operating system; in that sense, the human becomes the machine. While Alliance Academy student Maya Mikuri is in the middle of operating an I-Machine, she gets involved in an incident with pirates, and ends up serving as a crew member on an excavation company’s spaceship.

Tonight’s Episode: “Formless Minerals”

A masked man thinks back to the time when Mind Trance System was created, enabling humans to transfer their consciousness into I-Machines and work in dangerous or inhospitable conditions for a huge reduction in risk and cost. In the present, Maya is on-board the Excavate Company ship where they hear that Professor Attomy has declared that a student illegally divulged information, shifting the blame for the illegal operation to Maya.

Re: Creators

S?ta Mizushino is a young high school student and anime fan who dreams of writing his own light novel. While looking to an anime for inspiration, the iPad he is watching it on sputters and drags him into the anime’s world, where he witness a battle between the anime’s character Selesia and a mysterious girl wearing a military uniform. After returning with Selesia, S?ta discovers that other characters from different stories and forms of media were also brought to the real world, with some of them aligned with the military uniform girl, who promised them the ways to end the strife in their worlds and a way back home, unaware of her true intentions.

Tonight’s Episode: “That Time I Said Hello to Him If so, I want to protect what he loved.”

Meteora visits the company who developed Avalken of Reminisce, only to learn her creator passed away in an accident a year ago. After playing her game overnight, Meteora shares her theories on the Military Uniform Princess’ objective. But a Giant mech is about to invade this world.

Preview – Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho (Starting the Magical Book from Zero/Grimoire of Zero)

Zero is a witch who is ignorant of the world and travels with a half-beast half-human mercenary who longs to be human. Witches and their sorcery are notorious throughout the land, though knowledge of the existence of magic remains elusive. Zero is going on a journey to search for a magical tome called “The Book of Zero” that hides a power that can destroy the world. The mercenary travels with her as her guard.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Witch and the Beastfallen”

An unnamed White Tiger Beastfallen mercenary finds himself constantly on the run from bounty hunters and witches, when he stumbles across a little girl who traps his latest attacker in a mud prison. Despite his initial suspicions, he decides to work as her bodyguard.

Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) season 2

The entirety of mankind lives encased within a series of fortified walls which protect them from the Titans, giant humanoid monsters who devour people, that roam the world beyond the outer wall. But now, after nearly a hundred years of relative safety, new Titans have appeared. The security of the walls is a thing of the past, and mankind may be facing extinction.

Tonight’s Episode: “Charge”

As the Armoured Titan flees, Ymir removes Christa from her mouth and exits her Titan Form in order to explain her actions to Christa. She claims she is doing this only to save herself, as she believes that by handing Christa over to those outside the Walls she will be granted amnesty, though in secret is trying to save her. Their conversation is interrupted by attacks from the Scouts, who have caught up to the Armoured Titan.

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken – Stardust Crusaders (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure – Stardust Crusaders)

It’s 1989. Fifty odd years have passed since Joseph Joestar did battle with the immortal Pillar Men and now his Japanese grandson, Jotaro Kujo, finds his life turned upside down. A strange new ability awakens within his bloodline, granting him great power but threatening to kill his mother.

… An ancient enemy of the family has returned.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Guardian of Hell, Pet Shop, part 1”

The group arrives at a beggar’s association, where Abdul manages to get help from an informant to search for DIO’s hideout. Meanwhile, Iggy, who has gone off on his own again, comes across the building himself, where a falcon named Pet Shop, wielder of the Stand Horus, kills the informant before he can report back to the others. Quickly realising he will be targeted next for knowing the location of DIO’s hideout, Iggy tries not to get himself involved.
