Screening on Saturday 29^th April, 2016

Below is the program for the evening of April 29^th, 2017.

Tonight we say good bye to the regular series “Sweetness and Lightning”. It seems such a shock that JAFWA has already screened enough times this year for a full 1-cour series to have been fully screened.
During the month of May we will re-arrange the JAFWA program slightly so that “Ore Monogatari” (“My Love Story”) will occupy the vacant time slot, but in June we will have a fuzzy golden furball replacement regular series.

Tonight, however, we will have a preview item, the first episode of “Seikaisuru Kado”. This will be before the Dinner Break so that it may be included in the survey so that we can find out what you, our lovely audience enjoy. Bring extra friends to bias the survey results.

Synopsis

Little Witch Academia TV

Akko Kagari enrolls into Luna Nova Academy, a school for young witches, after being inspired at a young age by a witch named Shiny Chariot, and often spends her days hanging with her classmates, Lotte and Sucy. However, she has trouble paying attention in class, doesn’t know how to ride her broom, and is often looked down upon for admiring Chariot, whom many believe gives the wrong impression about witches.

This evening’s Episode: “Pappiliodya”

After avoiding expulsion last week, Akko begins her first day of lessons at Luna Nova, but the classes do not turn out to be as glamorous as she thought they would be. In addition, she has her first clash with the school’s top student, Diana Cavendish, over their diverging views towards Shiny Chariot. However an attempt to revive the academy’s Jennifer Memorial Tree might reveal that Akko has some rather specialised but useful magical knowledge.

preview item – Seikaisuru Kado (KADO: The Right Answer)

While taking a business trip using a plane, K?jir? Shind? and his co-worker Shun Hanamori witnessed the sudden appearance of a gigantic cube called KADO that appears out of the thin air, coming into their plane that couldn’t overpower the cube’s speed. While Kojiro and Shun, along with other 251 passengers is taken undamaged inside the cube, they encounter a man who looks like an ordinary human. He identify himself as Yaha-kui zaShunina, and he wishes to intervene with Japan’s internal affairs.

This evening’s Episode: “Ninovo”

In the Ministry of Internal Affairs, department of International Intelligence and Communications, General Affairs is the top negotiator K?jir? Shind? and his off-sider Shun Hanamori. Prior to being transferred to a new posting they are asked to perform one last task, some land purchase negotiations. After a slightly more complex affair than it seems, they are off to bigger and better opportunities when something far bigger and far better drops in at the airport.

Amaama to Inazuma (Sweetness and Lightning)

Kohei Inuzuka is a teacher and a recent widower, raising his young daughter alone. With a full time job keeping him busy, little Tsumugi has been getting mostly pre-packaged meals. But a chance encounter with one of his students, Kotori Iida, leads Kohei to take up cooking in order to provide proper meals for his daughter.

This evening’s Episode: “Okonomiyaki Filled With Affection” Finale

The anniversary of the death of K?hei’s wife / Tsumugi’s mother, and the two of them try eating at an okonomiyaki restaurant, but Tsumugi gets upset when she doesn’t get to do the mixing herself. Later, everyone gets together to make okonomiyaki that Tsumugi can mix, but Kotori feels downhearted that her mother couldn’t join them again.

Tenchi Masaki appears to be an average high school student. But opening a forbidden chamber in his grandfather’s temple results in his life becoming complicated by several otherworldy female beauties, few of whom have friendly regards. From the people who worked on Bubblegum Crisis who asked what if Mackey (Sylia’s brother) was a main character, reversing the Bubblegum scenario

This evening’s Episode: “Here Comes Ayeka!”

Tenchi finds the superhumanly powerful Ryoko sleeping in his bed. Meanwhile Princess Ayeka Masaki Jurai awakens from her sleep and arrives on Earth in pursuit of space pirate Ryoko, and her missing brother Yosho. The battle ensues, with Ryoko and Tenchi teaming up to stave off the extra-terrestrial assault.

Ore Monogatari! (My Love Story!)

Takeo Gouda is tall. No, Takeo Gouda is huge. He’s a high-schooler in a giant’s body. That’s been great for all the school sporting clubs he was part of, but less useful in his attempts to find love. But the real problem there is his handsome best friend Makoto Sunakawa, who ends up getting confessions from everyone Takeo likes. In fact it happens so often Takeo now expects it. And then one day, quite by accident, Takeo meets Rinko Yamato …

This evening’s Episode: “My Chocolate”

With Valentine’s Day approaching, Rinko invites all of her friends to make chocolate together on the 13th while Takeo’s friends ask to hang out with the girls on the 14th. As the girls and guys meet up on the 14th, Takeo becomes overly excited over what chocolate he’ll receive from Rinko.

ReLIFE

Kaizaki Arata is 27 years old and has held a full time job for a grand total of 3 months (quitting because it “wasn’t a fit for his talents”). He spends his days getting turned down at job interviews, lying to his friends about having a job, and moping around his apartment. When his parents finally get sick of sending him money he is thrown a lifeline by Yoake Ryou, a representative of the RELife Company. RELife gives jobless deadbeats like Arata a new lease on life… By giving them a pill that makes them look like teenagers again and having them repeat high school.

This evening’s Episode: “Revenge”

Chizuru understands that there is a problem and talks with Arata.Talking about the problem causes Arata to confront his past mistake with Chizuru and they plan to make Rena and Honuka friends again.

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (Yamada and the Seven Witches)

Ryuu Yamada’s, well deserved, reputation as a delinquent is no longer his biggest problem. After an accident on the stairs causes himself and the school’s top student Urara Shiraishi to swap bodies, the discovery of this strange ability makes his life a great deal more complicated. But for the gruff, friendless Yamada, spending some time literally in other people’s shoes might not be such a bad thing.

Tonight’s Episode: “I’ll Definitely Change the Future”

The Supernatural Studies Club has a 100% accurate fortune telling booth at the school festival. But the precognitive witch wants to lose her powers, so it is up to Yamada to find the “witch killer” who can take away witch’s powers. Of course, he wants Yamada to do him a favour…

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Re: Life in a Different World from Zero)

Being teleported to a fantasy world means you’re the chosen one, right? Natsuki Subaru certainly thought so, but it seems he’s not the fated hero, he’s just another guy in a world full of wizards, warriors and demi-humans. Still, there are decent people in this world and Subaru quickly finds people willing to lend him a hand, people he wants to help in return. But how can a mere high school student hope to challenge the monstrous and magical forces of this world? After all he only gets one shot at this, right?

The battle with the White Whale begins with the night banisher fired to temporarily change the appearance of the nighttime sky to daytime. Subaru and Rem draw the whale towards them with the Crusch and Anastasia armies attacking the whale, and Wilhelm slashing the whale at close range hoping to ground the whale.

Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) season 2

The entirety of mankind lives encased within a series of fortified walls which protect them from the Titans, giant humanoid monsters who devour people, that roam the world beyond the outer wall. Connie grieves for the death of his family while his senior Lynn tries to assure him they might be still be alive since no bodies nor blood was found. Elsewhere, Ymir asks her seniors Nanaba and Henning to allow her and Christa to leave their group since they don’t have their gear. Where is the breach in the wall that the Titans entered?

Kakyoin is informed that the Speedwagon Foundation is taking over his medical treatment, allowing his eyes to heal faster. Meanwhile, as Jotaro’s group arrive in Luxor, Joseph gets shocked by a strange rock with an electrical socket while visiting the bathroom. Mariah, wielder of the magnetic Stand Bastet, is about to give everyone a magnetic personality, causing anything metallic to become a potentially lethal weapon to them.
