Below is the program for the evening of March 25th, 2017. I understand that some people will be rushing to attend JAFWA after attending either Perth Japan Festival or Oz Comicon.
We are asking for volunteers to help person our Bunnings sausage sizzle stand on Saturday 1st April at Cannington. Up you up for it?
By request we will screen another episode of “Zekkyou Gakkyuu – Tensei” tonight, and put on “Ketsuekigata-kun!” another day.
During the Dinner Break we will have a survey to determine what you like about the anime we have shown at JAFWA recently. Simply number the titles on the survey with you integral preference, 1 for the title you like most, 2 for the 2nd most liked title, etc until you run out of anime titles that you wish to rank. We will even have a preview item before the Dinner Break just to expand the range of possibilities in the survey.
The Dinner Break will also be shortened to account for tonight’s episode of “Bubblegum Crisis”.

Synopsis
Akagami no Shirayukihime – (Shirayuki (“Snow white”) princess of the red hair)
Shirayuki is a young pharmacist from the kingdom of Tanbarun who is cheerful, spirited and dedicated to her job. She also has brilliant red hair, which is very rare. When the first prince of Tanbarun decides to claim her unique beauty for himself, Shirayuki flees to the neighbouring kingdom of Clarines to start her life over. There may be eccentric nobility here as well, but there are also friends, and at least she can do her job.
This evening’s Episode: “Prologue of the Quietly Twisting Night”
Shirayuki and Obi are attacked by Kazuki and his mysterious friend, Itoya. Obi fights to protect Shirayuki, but during the assault the men succeed in kidnapping her and escape into the night. Raji has guards sent out to search while Zen and the others finally arrive in Tanabarun and discover the incident. While there is more than one group seeking to rescue Shirayuki, the kidnapping is also complicated.

One night, an office worker named Kobayashi comes across an injured dragon named Tohru who had come from another world. Wanting to repay Kobayashi’s hospitality, Tohru starts living with her as a maid, soon attracting the attention of other dragons who came to the human world.
This evening’s Episode: “The Strongest Maid in History, Tohru! (Well, She is a Dragon)”
Following a hangover, office worker Kobayashi is approached by a dragon named Tohru, who states that she had saved her life the previous night and offered to let her live with her as a maid. While initially reluctant to do so, Kobayashi decides to let Tohru stay with her after she helps her get to work on time, though quickly finds she lacks experience as a maid.
Amaama to Inazuma (Sweetness and Lightning)
Kohei Inuzuka is a teacher and a recent widower, raising his young daughter alone. With a full time job keeping him busy, little Tsumugi has been getting mostly pre-packaged meals. But a chance encounter with one of his students, Kotori Iida, leads Kohei to take up cooking in order to provide proper meals for his daughter.
This evening’s Episode: “Gohei Mochi and a Grand Adventure”
Tsumugi-chan has a problem, her father is sick and won’t get out of bed. Taking inspiration from her favourite anime, Tsumugi-chan goes on a magical adventure to find help, searching for Kotori-chan’s restaurant. But then Kohei wakes up finds his daughter missing. Hungry and tired is not the best for reconciliations.
Ketsuekigata-kun! (Mr. Bloodtype) replaced with Zekkyou Gakkyuu (Screaming Lessons)
The anime adapted from the Japanese remake version of the Korean webtoon “A Simple Thinking about Bloodtype” which discusses about typical blood type-related stereotypes in Japan and Korea using the faceless characters each representing different bloodtypes.
Replaced with a horror-themed short story presented by a ghost girl named Yomi.
retro series – BubbleGum Crisis
In the near future, Tokyo was left flattened from a great earthquake. A new city, MegaTokyo, was then recreated with the aid of a multi-national company, Genom Corp. Genom created and mass-produced biomechanical creatures called Boomers to aid in the restoration of MegaTokyo. When the Boomers began to run out of control, the ADPolice at first tried to stop them, but they proved to be very difficult to deal with. Under the looming Boomer threat, a group of four girls from varying sections of society banded together. Calling themselves The Knight Sabers, they were the only ones with enough firepower and resourcefullness to defend the fledgling MegaTokyo from Genom and its berserk Boomers.
This evening’s Episode: “Double Vision”
A rock singer with a vendetta comes to Megatokyo, and brings some heavy firepower with her. She will drag Linna and the Knight Sabers into her battle with Genom.
Ore Monogatari! (My Love Story!)
Takeo Gouda is tall. No, Takeo Gouda is huge. He’s a high-schooler in a giant’s body. That’s been great for all the school sporting clubs he was part of, but less useful in his attempts to find love. But the real problem there is his handsome best friend Makoto Sunakawa, who ends up getting confessions from everyone Takeo likes. In fact it happens so often Takeo now expects it. And then one day, quite by accident, Takeo meets Rinko Yamato …
This evening’s Episode: “My Christmas”
While preparing for a Christmas party, Takeo learns that his friend Osamu Kurihara hopes to confess to Rinko’s friend Nanako. Takeo and Rinko decide to do what they can to get them together, but is Kurihara his own worst enemy?
ReLIFE
Kaizaki Arata is 27 years old and has held a full time job for a grand total of 3 months (quitting because it “wasn’t a fit for his talents”). He spends his days getting turned down at job interviews, lying to his friends about having a job, and moping around his apartment. When his parents finally get sick of sending him money he is thrown a lifeline by Yoake Ryou, a representative of the RELife Company. RELife gives jobless deadbeats like Arata a new lease on life… By giving them a pill that makes them look like teenagers again and having them repeat high school.
Tonight’s Episode: “Test Subject 001 ? 002”
As Ryo is writing his report on Arata’s progress, he has a flashback to when he was supporting subject 001 of the ReLIFE project. The mistakes he made, that failed the experiment.
Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (Yamada and the Seven Witches)
Ryuu Yamada’s, well deserved, reputation as a delinquent is no longer his biggest problem. After an accident on the stairs causes himself and the school’s top student Urara Shiraishi to swap bodies, the discovery of this strange ability makes his life a great deal more complicated. But for the gruff, friendless Yamada, spending some time literally in other people’s shoes might not be such a bad thing.
This evening’s Episode: “Anything but Tempura!”
Following clues from last episode, Yamada investigates the witch Maria Sarushima, and try and work out why she isn’t coming to school. But can the tragedy revealed by her power be prevented?
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Re: Life in a Different World from Zero)
Being teleported to a fantasy world means you’re the chosen one, right? Natsuki Subaru certainly thought so, but it seems he’s not the fated hero, he’s just another guy in a world full of wizards, warriors and demi-humans. Still, there are decent people in this world and Subaru quickly finds people willing to lend him a hand, people he wants to help in return. But how can a mere high school student hope to challenge the monstrous and magical forces of this world? After all he only gets one shot at this, right?
Tonight’s Episode: “The Greed of a Pig” and “Disgrace in the Extreme”
Once more returned from death knowing the future to come but unable to explain to anyone. Obsessed with preventing it, can he get anyone’s aid to stop the Witch Cult’s attack? If nothing else, can he get back to the mansion in time, especially if the dreaded White Whale is hidden in the fog?

Tonight’s Episode: “Khnum’s Oingo and Thoth’s Boingo”
As the Joestar group arrives in Aswan to get Kakyoin and Abdul into the hospital, the brothers Oingo, whose Stand Khnum allows him to change his face to appear like anyone else, and Boingo, whose Stand Thoth is a comic book that predicts a person’s death, plan on stopping the group for DIO. Powerful as they are, will Jojo’s group even see the Oingo Boingo brothers coming for them?
