AGM and Election
This is it!
JAFWA’s Annual General Meeting, where you, the beloved signed up member get to hear the committee’s reports on what they have been up to in the last year. Then you get to ask pointed questions.
We will start setting up the Hall at 2:30PM, for a 3PM start to the AGM.
There will be some business to attend to, as the recent change to the Associations Act means we are required to add a Dispute clause to the JAFWA constitution.
Then during the Dinner Break we will have the committee Election, and we now have enough nominees that actual voting is required this year!
Synopsis
Fairy Tail second series
Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.
Tonight’s Episodes: “Fields of Gold“
To save this era from the Dragon assault, our heroes attempt to destroy the Eclipse Gate so it won’t be available for future Rogue to return in time and bring the Dragons forward. But it is not quite as easy as all that. Meanwhile Natsu and Atlas Flame are battling future Rogure and Motherglare, and the battle is getting very violent.
Flying Witch
The cheerful and pleasant Kowata Makoto has come to Aomori to complete high school. She will be boarding with her cousin Muramoto Kei. Nothing unusual there right? Well, not quite. Because Makoto isn’t the normal girl she appears to be. Makoto is a witch, and she is going to bring some of the magic of the witching world to her new home.
Tonight’s Episodes: “Trick or Treat
Makoto’s older sister Akane bestirs herself to instruct Makoto in broom riding, and finds that she has taken Chinatsu as an apprentice. So Chinatsu and Makoto shall both learn magic from Akane, who thinks it is best to experience magic before learning what it does.

Hikari Kohinata has one great passion: scuba diving. Her grandmother runs a dive shop in the coastal town of Shizuoka, where Hikari lives, and she is there all the time to enjoy the beauty of the ocean. When the shy and socially awkward Futaba Ooki moves to Shizuoka, she and the eternally cheerful Hikari start high school as classmates and Hikari quickly befriends the new arrival and introduces her to the world beneath the waves.
Tonight’s Episodes: “The Story of the Girl and the Ocean”
On the last day before senior High school begins, Futaba Ooki, a shy girl who just moved to Shizuoka from the city, discovers the ocean at Amanchu-ya dive shop. When she attends high-school the next day she catches the eye of her eccentric classmate, Hikari Kohinata, who instantly befriends her.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, Season 2 (Assassination Classroom, Season 2)
The 10 billion yen bounty on the head of supersonic, tentacled schoolteacher Koro-sensei remains unclaimed. Despite the best efforts of everyone involved. The students of class 3E are still training to assassinate their teacher, in between getting an education and all sorts of valuable life lessons from him. But will they manage to do it before this overgrown, yellow octopus carries out his threat to destroy the entire world?
Tonight’s Episodes: “Past Time”
Koro-sensei continues his origin story, as the original super-assassin known as “The Reaper”, and how he was mutated by a mad scientist. And how his fate became entwined with that of the previous teacher of class 3-E.
Gate: Jieitai Kano Chi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri (Gate: The Self Defence Forces Fight Like This in That Place)
Youji Itami is a 33-year old otaku. He loves anime and does his best to never miss a convention or product sale. Youji is also a member of Japan’s Self Defence Force. After an invasion of Tokyo from an alternate universe, Youji’s unit is sent through the gateway to this alternate dimension to push back the invaders, taking him away from his beloved anime and manga. But maybe this won’t be all bad … because this parallel universe is straight out of a fantasy manga.
Tonight’s Episodes: “Ride of the Valkyies” and “The Princess’s Decision”
Princess Pina has taken command of the town of Italica to save it from a horde of bandits, yet her defences are too few so she has “recruited” the JSDF 3rd Recon Unit, with the intent to sacrifice these invaders from another world. But no plan survives contact with the enemy, as the bandits attack another gate. Princess Pina despairs of getting re-inforcements in time. However Lt Youji Itami is not so restricted, though Rory Mercury, maddened by battle-lust upsets his plans.
And thus Princess Pina, whose mission was to battle the invaders from Alnus Hill gets to witness how the the JSDF does fight. A battle beyond her imagining, where individual honour and glory counts as for nothing. The princess must revise her plans for Alnus Hill – first do absolute nothing that the JSDF could consider to be a provocation to invade the Empire. But no plan survives contact with the enemy, and the princess will have to deal with culture shock.
Hai to Gensou no Grimgar (Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash)
Haruhiro awoke in this strange land with no memory of where he had come from or how he had got here. He and his companions were given little choice; serve in the militia defending the region from the various monsters or starve, and so they struggle to make a living as soldiers. There is nothing easy about this life and making ends meet is a challenge for six people who, it seems, had never held weapons before. Teamwork may be the only thing that can keep them alive, but for that they actually need to function as a team.
Tonight’s Episodes: “Are Goblin Pouches Filled with our Dreams?”
After their first goblin kill, Haruhiro and his friends are emboldened to continue killing more goblins and earning more money. Which they need, as the clothes and underwear they arrived in are about to fall apart.

Momonga, master of the Ainz Ooal Gown guild, was logged in to the Virtual Reality MMO Yggdrasil on the day it closed. Instead of being logged out he found his VR game had somehow become a real world that he was now trapped in. As a massively over-powered Lich Lord, there’s very little that can threaten him, so Momonga begins exploring the world surrounding his guild headquarters and meeting with its inhabitants in the hopes of finding anyone else from Earth trapped in this world with him.
Tonight’s Episodes: “The Battle of Carn Village”
While using a magic mirror to examine nearby lands with the help of Sebas Tian, Momonga discovers a village under siege by Knights belonging to a unknown organization. At first, Momonga thinks nothing of them but when he remembers the debt he owed to his guild mate ‘Touch Me’ he decides to save the village’s inhabitants. Meanwhile, a group of warriors led by a man named Gazef encounter sacked villages, looking for survivors.
Kotetsujou no Kabaneri (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress)
Ikoma is a lowly engineer in the walled city of Arawakin, one of a series of city-stations linked together by rail lines and serviced by massive, armour-plated steam trains. The reason for such lumbering transport? The Kabane. Victims of a plague that turns people into flesh-eating zombies and encases their hearts in iron. Outside the walled cities the Kabane roam the land. Within them the people are ready to slaughter any new arrival should they show the slightest hint of infection. Everyone from peasant to soldier lives in constant fear, but not Ikoma. He intends to fight back.
Tonight’s Episodes: “Begging the Heavens”
The refugee train Kotetsu arrives at Shitori Station, which is still occupied by humans, but are only allowed to stay for a couple of days. Ayame exchanges something of value to purchase bamboo for the Tanabata ceremony so people can hang their wishes on it. They are then offered food and other provisions in exchange for the jet bullets technology invented by Ikoma.
Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken – Stardust Crusaders (Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure – Stardust Crusaders)
It’s 1989. Fifty odd years have passed since Joseph Joestar did battle with the immortal Pillar Men and now his Japanese grandson, Jotaro Kujo, finds his life turned upside down. A strange new ability awakens within his bloodline, granting him great power but threatening to kill his mother.
… An ancient enemy of the family has returned.
Tonight’s Episodes: “Tower of Grey”
As their plane reaches the airspace over Taiwan, Jotaro and the others are awoken from their slumber by the sound of a flying stag beetle, which Abdul identifies as an evil Stand known as Tower of Gray, which is responsible for causing mass murders that look like tragic accidents. Jotaro and the others struggle inside a fragile aircraft against Tower of Gray, finding its speed to outmatch even Star Platinum’s.
