We come out of the season of conventions, chocolate and church battered but ecstatic. And what better to keep one’s spirits up than a dose of JAFWA.
With one minor proviso – WestLodge, the WA Doctor Who club will have the Hall till after 5PM, so we will start a little late. You can survive missing an episode of “Fairy Tail” for but a single session, can you not? We will give you a late-night preview in exchange, as well as begin a new retro series from 1991.

Synopsis

Shirobako (White Box)

Aoi Miyamori and her four friends made up the Animation club at their high school, and all five of them aimed to go into the Anime industry after graduation. Now Aoi, like her friends, has made her dream come true. She works for Musashino Animation, a little studio in Tokyo. The job comes with all sorts of challenges and stresses but Aoi wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t something she wanted to do.

Tonight’s Episodes:Ill Do My Best, Mustang!

As the head staff tries to discuss what to do for the plot of the thirteenth episode, they start to liken the protagonist’s reason for flying to their own reasons for getting into the anime industry. They become interested by their motives for making anime and ask the rest of the staff for their own opinions, receiving various responses. Meanwhile, Midori, who has been given writing assignments by Maitake to improve her writing skills in lieu of directly teaching her, feels downhearted when an increasingly irritable Hiraoka implies that she can get her way just because she is a girl.

Noragami Aragoto

Hiyori Iki continues to interact with the world of gods, and in particular the still-homeless war god Yato and his divine instrument Yuki. Yato still hasn’t fulfilled his promise to re-attach her loose soul, and it may not happen anytime soon now. Because the war god Bishamon is back, and she still has an axe to grind with Yato. And she’s not the only one looking to meddle in Yato’s affairs…

Tonight’s Episodes:God of Calamity

Ebisu tries to control Ayakashi using masks but ends up getting blighted. Meanwhile, Yato is in great spirits because the shrine Hiyori made for him has been recognized as an official shrine by the Heavens after Yato continued to pester them for several days to have it recognized, causing Hiyori and Yukine to worry about how lax the government system of the heavens are. However, Yato is forced to leave Yukine after Nora calls him, going back to his darker line of work as a God of Calamity.

Kazuya Hasekawa believed life in the dorms at Ryokuto Academy would be a breeze, unfortunately he’s been assigned to Greenwood. This dorm used to be a lunatic asylum, and some of its current resident’s act like it still is. Between his crossdressing roommate Shun Kisaragi, the bullying of dorm president Mitsuru Ikeda, and the teasing of his older brother Kazuhiro, who also serves as the school nurse, Kazuya’s life at Greenwood certainly won’t be dull.

Thanks to hospitalisation, Kazuya starts school a month. None the less his long awaited sanctuary from home in the dormitory, will not be as peaceful as hoped. For starters, in a boys-only high-school his dorm-mate is unexpectedly a disguised young woman.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, Season 2 (Assassination Classroom, Season 2)

The 10 billion yen bounty on the head of supersonic, tentacled schoolteacher Koro-sensei remains unclaimed. Despite the best efforts of everyone involved. The students of class 3E are still training to assassinate their teacher, in between getting an education and all sorts of valuable life lessons from him. But will they manage to do it before this overgrown, yellow octopus carries out his threat to destroy the entire world?

The next attempt at getting Kurasama-sensei and Bitch-sensei is foiled, as Irina storms off. But a far greater menace is on the horizon, for The Reaper, the world’s greatest assassin is about to make his move. Cry Havok, and let slip the dogs of War.

Otosaka Yuu has the ability to take over other people’s bodies, albeit only for a few seconds. Limited though this super power is Yuu intended to exploit it for his own benefit, but his efforts only served to attract the attention of other teenagers with strange powers. Now Otosaka Yuu is an, unwilling, student at Hoshi no Umi Academy. A school created to keep people like him out of trouble … but also to keep them safe.

Once Yuu returns to school, Nao assembles the student council together to watch Yusa’s new music video. She then invites Yuu to accompany her at Zhiend’s concert taking place the next day. By chance later that day, Yuu comes across Zhiend’s blind vocalist, Sara Shane.

Sidonia no Kishi: Daikyuu Wakusei Seneki (Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine)

The colony ship Sidonia continues its journey through the region of space controlled by the titanic and almost indestructible Gauna. Ace pilot, and former scavenger, Nagate Tanikaze now leads the defense of his home, aided by an upgraded arsenal of weapons for the Gardes mecha that he and the other pilots fly. But it is still a dangerous task, and the Gauna may not be the only problem. The immortal leaders of Sidonia’s populace have their own power struggles and plans for the ship and its population. And there is also the fragment of a Gauna kept in Sidonia’s research lab … which took the shape of Tanikaze’s deceased fellow pilot Shizuka.

Tonight’s Episodes:Rumbling

The Gravitational Beam Emitter goes out of control, causing a lot of damage. But that will not deter Kobayashi. Further weapons are revealed to the pilots, and certain secrets at Tanikaze’s residence aren’t as secret as some would like.

Preview Item – Ajin: Demi-Human

It was 17 years ago that the world confirmed the first Ajin; seemingly unkillable creatures that look just like human beings. Since then the rare few Ajin that have been identified have been hunted down and rounded up by the world’s governments, never to be seen again. They spare no expense, nor acknowledge any legal limits, in their efforts to capture new immortals. For high school student Kei Nagai this is bad news, as he discovers that he is not be the ordinary human being he thought he was.

Tonight’s Episodes:The History of Relationships We Never Had

High school student Kei Nagai studies hard, trying to be an exemplary student. Studies so hard he didn’t see the oncoming truck. Worst of all, it didn’t kill him, at least not permanently. Now hunted, where can he run to, who can he turn to?

Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken (JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure)

The Joestar’s are a wealthy English family, but one with a dark fate. Ever since the days of Jonathon Joestar and his adopted brother Dio Brando, and the succession struggle that came about from Dio’s greed, the Joestar family line has found itself embroiled in supernatural horror and world-threatening ambition. And it always falls to the current Jojo, whoever it may be, to stop the madness.

Tonight’s Episode:A True Warrior

It is JoJo versus Waamu in a gladiatorial chariot race/battle. This is Waamu’s preferred battlefield, but JoJo has a certain genius for trickery. Only one shall survive.

Death Parade

The Quindecim is a bar, accessible only by a pair of elevators. Within this stately and impressive establishment the bar is tended by a man known as Dequim, with the assistance of a small but skilled staff. No one comes here alone, and no one remembers how they ended up here … at first. But the result is always the same; the guests must play a game against each other, and the stakes could not be higher.

Tonight’s Episode:Death Rally

As per Nona’s arrangements, Decim is sent two new guests; a young man named Shimada and a detective named Tatsumi, one of whom is allegedly a murderer. This shall torment the black haired woman.
