Synopsis

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “In a Night of Falling Stars“

There were many surprises in the opening of the Grand Magic Games, such as Makarov sneaking in a second Fairy Tail team and Jellal using that to sneak himself into the stadium. But the most worrying surprise is the Dark Guild Raventail, creation of Makarov’s son, being in the competition. And their open admission to attacking and crippling Wendy. With Raventail gunning for them Fairy Tail has even more reason to succeed in the Games. The first contest, Hidden, is about to begin.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (Monthly Girl’s Nozaki-kun)

High school student Sakura Chiyo has a serious crush on her tall, stoic schoolmate Nozaki Umetarou. But when she finally plucks up the courage to tell him she always wants to be with him, she finds herself employed as his assistant. Turns out Nozaki is a shoujo manga artist, and by working alongside him Sakura gets to see her high school crush in action … and see the not-so-perfect inspiration for his stories.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Prince (Girl) of the School’s Problems”

Kashima is worried, Hori doesn’t seem to be paying as much attention to her as usual. She reveals her concern to Mikorin, who advises her to redouble her own efforts to keep the attention of the Drama Club director. But things take a more shocking turn when Kashima gets an unexpected look at what Hori carries around in his school bag.

Preview – Shirobako

Aoi Miyamori and her four friends made up the Animation club at their high school, and all five of them aimed to go into the Anime industry after graduation. Now Aoi, like her friends, has made her dream come true. She works for Musashino Animation, a little studio in Tokyo. The job comes with all sorts of challenges and stresses but Aoi wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t something she wanted to do.

Tonight’s Episode: “Exodus into Tomorrow!”

In her final year, Aoi and the other members of the Kaminoyama High School animation club put together an amateur movie. Rising to the challenge of doing the animation, the story, the sound effects and the dialogue all themselves. With her final work for the club a success, the five promise to one day work together on a movie as professionals in the animation industry… Two and a half years later, Aoi is indeed working in the industry as a Production Assistant. The long hours are tiring, but a segment on the radio about her studio’s latest work perks her up.

Log Horizon season 2

Life continues for Shiroe and the others trapped within the world of Elder Tale. The city of Akihabara is now prosperous and thriving thanks to the efforts and innovations of the adventurers. But prosperity does not guarantee safety, Shiroe’s skills have already been tested against the nefarious Nureha and her guild Plant Hwyaden, and now he must find a way to secure Akihabara’s future against those who would seek to claim it for themselves.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Maidens of Watermaple“

Akatsuki and Shiroe have now both died for the first time since the Apocalypse and experienced the strange realm between life and death. And Akatsuki has now reached out to her friends for help in defeating the murderous Enheart Nelreth. But in the midst of planning Reize receives word that Crusty has disappeared, after his subordinate Sansa’s weapon went out of control as a result of its dark flavour text. And there’s another item out there with dark flavour text; Byakumaru, the sword that Enheart Elreth is using to hunt adventurers …

D-Frag!

Kazama Kenji goal in life was simple; become a famous and feared delinquent. Instead he finds himself mixed up with his school’s struggling Game Development club and its various … eccentric … members. Yet the harder he tries to get away from them, the more he finds himself running into the other crazies in his school.

Tonight’s Episode: “Fujou Academy Freedom Festival, AKA FuF Festival”

Kazama has had his introduction to the ‘real’ Game Dev Club and their impulsive president, Takao. He’s also learned how Roka’s … uniqueness … saw her ostracised by the members of the old club and how Chitose’s defense of her childhood friend destroyed the old club. It’s obvious to Kazama that all Takao wants is to have her friend Roka back in her club but she can’t just come out and say it, so instead the two clubs will compete in the cultural festival. And after hearing Roka’s plan for the competition Kazama is full of confidence… he’s confident they are going to lose.

Noragami (Stray God)

Hiyori Iki is introduced to the world of spirits and deities after her first encounter with Yato, a homeless war god, results in a near death experience. Now Hiyori needs the ambitious Yato to help stop her soul from disconnecting from her body, but a god who doesn’t even have a shrine, let alone worshippers, doesn’t really inspire much confidence.

Tonight’s Episode: “Uncertainty and Destiny“

Bishamon, the god that punishes sinners, has appeared before Yuki, Hiyori and Yato, whom she calls “the Calamity God” and hunts for the crime of killing one of her Regalia. Kofuku’s timely arrival prevents anyone from dying, by giving Bishamon a literal storm of phantoms to deal with, but it doesn’t solve the problem of Yuki and Yato’s worsening relationship, or the taint Yuki’s impure thoughts have inflicted on Yato. And now Hiyori discovers that Yuki has run off again, this time to Tenjin to seek alternate employment …

Sword Art Online, Season 2

It has been a year since the victims of Alfheim Online were freed from their virtual prison, and more than a year since Sword Art Online was shut down. But now it has begun once again. A mysterious figure has been making appearances in the game Gun Gale Online, and other players drop dead in their wake. Kirito finds himself once again risking his life in the online world.

Tonight’s Episode: “One Small Step“

Death Gun has been defeated, and Kirito and Sinon have ended the BoB tournament with a double KO, meaning they tied for first place. But the terror is not yet over for Sinon because Shinkawa, Sinon’s real-world friend, is Death Gun’s younger brother … and accomplice. Whether Sinon survives the night now depends on whether Kirito can manage to fight off the insane Shinkawa.

Gunbuster

Takaya Noriko wants to follow in the footsteps of her father and travel the vastness of space, and she has enlisted in a mecha training academy to fulfill that dream. But there is more to the academy than just training skilled astronauts, there is an alien race out there with its sights set on Earth. Noriko and the other trainees will be fighting for the survival of the human race.

Tonight’s Episode: “At the End of Eternity …” Finale

The plan to defeat the alien almost fails when Amano breaks down from knowing that Koichiro, “Coach”, the man she loves, may not live long enough to see her return. But Noriko drags her out of the depths of despair and with the Gunbuster they destroy the aliens in an artificial black hole. But this was only one of the alien’s fleets.

Psycho-Pass 2

Makishima Shougo is dead, and Akane Tsunemori still works for Public Security. With a new junior inspector and two new Enforcers she struggles to protect the public from the latent criminals in their midst, whilst hiding from them the horrible truth of the Sybil System. But a new menace walks the streets, a new threat that once again cannot be judged by Sybil. And this time they’re not just a lone psychopath, this time they’re recruiting.

Tonight’s Episode: “Conception of the Oracle”

After determining Kamui’s identity as the sole survivor of a plane crash fifteen years ago, and learning the Sybil system would rather let him run around with active Dominators than admit there is a flaw in the system, Akane and her team have found a disturbing number of personnel at the Bureau may actually be his hologrammatic disguises. So whilst Inspector Shimotsuki would rather be investigating Enforcer Tougane’s dark past further, she is instead dispatched to the Patent Office to try and find out more about Kamui’s life-saving surgery

Danganronpa

Hope’s Peak Private Academy is a famous boarding school, known as a place for students who are the best in their field. When the unremarkable Makoto Naegi wins a lottery to enter the school he and fourteen other new students find the horrible truth hidden within; Hope’s Peak is a prison, and the only way out is to kill one of the other inmates without getting caught.

Tonight’s Episode: “Return of the New Century Galaxy Legend! O Armored Hero, Stand upon the Earth! (part 2)”

The students find Fujisaki’s hidden laptop and AI program, busy working to uncover information about the Academy, only to have it stolen. Togami brings up the possibility one of them is working with Monobear, and less than 24 hours later a ‘Justice Robot’ attacks two students and sets off a running chase around the school. When it is all over Ishimara and Hifumi are dead, their bodies vanishing from one room only to reappear in another, and Hifumi regains consciousness just long enough to accuse Yasuhiro of his murder.
