Synopsis

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Terror of Invisible Lucy“

Happy and Natsu letting themselves into her apartment is rarely a stress-free experience for Lucy. So after tossing them out once again she decides to relax with a bath. Which is when she notices, unearthed in the process of turfing out Happy and Natsu, a bottle of home-made lotion. Something she cooked up before the events on Tenroujima Island … something that has been sitting in its bottle for seven years.

Barakamon

Seishuu Handa is a new rising star in the world of professional, artistic, calligraphy. But when his pride and temper land him in trouble, he finds himself cooling his heels on the quaint little island of Gotou. Seishuu quickly finds the island’s residents to be both infuriating and invigorating in equal measure. Especially the diminutive Naru Kotoishi.

Tonight’s Episode: “Yosonmon (Guys from Tokyo” and “Hisan-Iwo (A High-Grade Fish)“

The trip to the beach was a bonding experience, and Handa has grown closer to the locals because of it. Which is partly why he missed the call from Kawafuji. His high school friend is now on the island looking for him … along with Kanzaki Kousuke, the eighteen year old calligrapher that beat Handa in the most recent competition. Though they’ve had no luck so far their search has now brought them to the Kinoshita Market, and Naru is out the front selling seashells.

Sword Art Online, Season 2

It has been a year since the victims of Alfheim Online were freed from their virtual prison, and more than a year since Sword Art Online was shut down. But now it has begun once again. A mysterious figure has been making appearances in the game Gun Gale Online, and other players drop dead in their wake. Kirito finds himself once again risking his life in the online world.

Tonight’s Episode: “Crimson Memories“

Both Kirito and Sinon advanced through their matches and eventually faced each other in the preliminary final, where Kirito insulted Sinon by trying to throw the match. Reminded of the promise he made to Sinon, Kirito starts taking their fight seriously and defeats the sniper. And in the process reveals a bit more about himself, including the regret he has suppressed about the people he killed in SAO. And of course, Death Gun was watching the entire match.

Zankyou no Terror (Resonance of Terror)

Tokyo is under attack, from a pair of terrorists referring to themselves as ‘Sphinxes’. With a series of complicated riddles uploaded to the internet as the only warning of when and where each attack will take place the police scramble to protect the city. But there may be more to these terrorists than their appearance, or their dehumanizing names, suggest.

Tonight’s Episode: “Helter Skelter” and “VON” (Finale)

Shibazaki has learned what the purpose of Project Athena was; to turn children into savants through the use of experimental, and ultimately lethal, drugs. Twelve, forced to choose between loyalty to Nine and Lisa’s life, gave up the location of ‘the object’. Not raw plutonium, but Japan’s prototype nuclear bomb. But Five still failed to capture Nine, or the bomb. And her health is not helped by the stress. But the very first thing Nine does after escaping Five and the US agents … is turn himself in to the police.

The year before Sue became a regular member of Genshiken, she and Angela once again flew to Japan for Comifest. But after Comifest, when Ohno brought her two American friends to Ogiue’s place to get some more of her fan-made manga, Ogiue got a taste of Sue’s stubbornness when she sat herself down to read all those manga and refused to move. And so Ogiue finds herself playing host to a diminutive American guest, and she does not speak a word of English.

Siblings Sora and Shiro have spent their life in games, rejecting the complications of the real world in favour of virtual ones and gaining a phenomenal reputation for their unbeatable teamwork. But when they reply to a strange email they find themselves transported to a world where everything is decided by games. It’s time to put their skills to the ultimate test!

Tonight’s Episodes: “Killing Giant” and “Rule Number 10” (Finale?)

Kurami and Fi’s cooperation, along with the entire population of Elkia watching the game, will make it much harder for the were-beasts to cheat openly. Eastern Federation’s game is set in a virtual world that looks exactly like Tokyo, much to the Blank’s displeasure, but the rules of the game have now been explained, or figured out, and everyone is ready. It’s four versus one, but the were-beasts would never have set up such a game if they didn’t think they had the advantage.

Gokukoku no Brynhildr (Brynhildr in the Darkness)

As a young boy, Ryouta Murakami cost a dear friend her life. A mistake he has never forgiven himself for. To this day he seeks to verify his lost friend’s belief in the existence of aliens. But when a strange girl shows up at his school, a girl who bears an uncanny resemblance to his dead friend, Ryouta’s attention is pulled away from the stars to face the dark secrets this new girl brings with her.

Tonight’s Episode: “Things to Protect” (Finale)

The timely arrival of the Hexenjagd has revealed the awful truth. The Drasil, the slug-like monstrosity residing inside a witch’s harnest, will eventually hatch and consume their bodies, but a very rare few become something worse … and Kotori is one of those few. But Ichijiku has other plans for her. She has already been infused with the mind of his deceased sister, and he intends to use the monster in Kotori’s harnest to bring her back to life. However neither his plans nor anyone else’s matter now, because her harnest has just hatched …
