Synopsis

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode:The Seven Year Gap

With the aid of Mavis, the mysterious first guildmaster of Fairy Tail, Natsu, the others, and even the island of Tenroujima itself managed to survive the attack by Acnologia. Now, seven years later, they have emerged from their magical cocoon and returned to sort out the sorry state of their guild, and their return prompts the first proper celebration the guild has had in some time.

Barakamon

Seishuu Handa is a new rising star in the world of professional, artistic, calligraphy. But when his pride and temper land him in trouble, he finds himself cooling his heels on the quaint little island of Gotou. Seishuu quickly finds the island’s residents to be both infuriating and invigorating in equal measure. Especially the diminutive Naru Kotoishi.

Tonight’s Episode:Shiman Ontsandon (Island Dads)

Once again the rest of the village has helped Handa out of self-imposed depression, this time with the launching of a new fishing boat and a competition to grab as much mochi as he can … which turns out to be none. Still, the calm never seems to last. Now his computer has broken, and when he thinks to call Kawafuji back in Tokyo he discovers that his ocean-dunked phone has finally died completely, leaving him with no way to communicate with the mainland.

Preview Item – Bishojo Senshi Seramun Kurisutaru (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal)

Clumsy middle school student Usagi Tsukino finds her life taking a surprising turn after a run-in with a talking cat named Luna. A magical brooch from the talking cat turns Usagi into Sailor Moon, a magical soldier dedicated to protecting earth from the forces of evil along with her fellow Sailor Soldiers.

Tonight’s Episode:Usagi

Being late for school is pretty much Usagi’s default morning routine, as is complaining about her mother not waking her up earlier. Clumsiness is another of Usagi’s defining traits, which she reinforces by tripping over a cat in the middle of the sidewalk. Still, Usagi is not cruel by nature, and she stops to make sure the cat is alright, in the process removing a bandaid someone else placed over the cat’s forehead… which reveals a crescent moon symbol.

Sword Art Online, Season 2

It has been a year since the victims of Alfheim Online were freed from their virtual prison, and more than a year since Sword Art Online was shut down. But now it has begun once again. A mysterious figure has been making appearances in the game Gun Gale Online, and other players drop dead in their wake. Kirito finds himself once again risking his life in the online world.

Tonight’s Episode:Duel in the Wastelands

The tournament has now begun, after Sinon learned Kirito’s true gender in a manner that squashed any hopes of friendship. Still, he wins his first match handily, demonstrating that the energy sword is not useless after all (at least not if you have insane speed and predictive skills). But the flashy match has already achieved its goal, Death Gun has introduced himself. And Kirito has learned even more; the mystery figure is another survivor of Sword Art Online and still bears the tattoo of Laughing Coffin, the guild that spent its time killing other players in SAO …

Zankyou no Terror (Resonance of Terror)

Tokyo is under attack, from a pair of terrorists referring to themselves as ‘Sphinxes’. With a series of complicated riddles uploaded to the internet as the only warning of when and where each attack will take place the police scramble to protect the city. But there may be more to these terrorists than their appearance, or their dehumanizing names, suggest.

Tonight’s Episode:Duece” and “My Fair Lady

Five has stepped up her attack on Nine and Twelve, this time sending a false Sphinx riddle for them to solve. A real bomb, in a real busy airport. Through her cover identity as a Nuclear Researcher she and her FBI handler dismiss the investigative team hunting for the Sphinxes and lure Nine and Twelve into a trap at the airport. But the two teen terrorists have an ace up their sleeve, Lisa, whom Five is completely unaware of (at least for now). And to complicate matter further, Shibazaki and his fellow officers have decided to disobey orders and come to the airport themselves.

Shibazaki was able to guess that the bomb was planted to lure out the terrorists, something Nine confirmed by calling him directly. The two forged a very unlikely alliance when Five placed Lisa on the plane with her bomb and taxied it towards one of the main terminals. Shibazaki was able to force the plane to be diverted and Nine and Twleve were able to rescue Lisa from the plane. Shibazaki however did not do as well out of this, Five has now promised him punishment for his interference and the Sphinxes managed to get away.

Genshiken Nidaime (Genshiken Second Season)

The old guard have graduated and now only Ogiue, Ohno and Kuchiki remain. As a new year begins Genshiken is once again infused with new members, who bring with them their own quirks, tastes and personal baggage with which to befuddle, bemuse and entertain the rest of the club. The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture (Gendai Shikaku Bunka Kenkyukai, Gen Shi Ken) is back.

Tonight’s Episode:Love and Work and Cheesecake

Some meddling by Keiko, with help from Hato and Sue, has finally forced Madarame to openly admit his feelings for Kasukabe. And now she can finally stop pretending she didn’t notice in order to avoid hurting him. Of course Keiko won’t let it end there, so Madarame is dragged back to the club room to let everyone know how his little confession went. And to see just how few people he managed to fool with his act all these years.

preview – Kiseiju Sei no Kakuritsu (Parasyte -the maxim-)

17-year old Shinichi Izumi is one of the lucky ones, the thing that invaded his body claimed only his hand rather than his head. Now Shinichi must come to terms with the parasitic organism he plays host to, because those who were not so lucky are still out there …

Tonight’s Episodes:Metamorphosis

“Unfortunate …” this is the word that Shinichi wakes up to although he can find no speaker anywhere in his room and eventually concludes it was a dream. His parents are concerned by the odd behaviour he was exhibiting last night, although Shinichi himself remembers none of it. But this will not be a typical day, and although he does not realize it yet Shinichi’s trauma will arise from the thing in his right hand …

No Game No Life

Siblings Sora and Shiro have spent their life in games, rejecting the complications of the real world in favour of virtual ones and gaining a phenomenal reputation for their unbeatable teamwork. But when they reply to a strange email they find themselves transported to a world where everything is decided by games. It’s time to put their skills to the ultimate test!

Tonight’s Episodes:Fake End

The old king, Steph’s grandfather, was not quite the fool Sora made him out to be. Despite challenging and losing to the Eastern Federation eight times, he knew he was going to lose each time and used the opportunity to collect information on the were-beasts and their game for the next king to use. A king his succession challenge would ensure had the skill-set to use it. So now its time to put that information to good use. The Blank’s have arrived at the embassy with full entourage in tow, and they get to see a bit more of the lingering animosity between the various races.

Gokukoku no Brynhildr (Brynhildr in the Darkness)

But when a strange girl shows up at his school, a girl who bears an uncanny resemblance to his dead friend, Ryouta’s attention is pulled away from the stars to face the dark secrets this new girl brings with her.

Tonight’s Episode:Unexpected Reunion

Just at the moment she is accepted by the others as a friend, Nanami’s beacon is remotely ejected and she dies before their very eyes. Her last act being to erase the memories of everyone save Ryouta, to prevent any suffering. Meanwhile the lab is making another bid to recapture subject 1107 … with the dreaded Valkyria. But as others look on in horror at the wanton destruction she is causing, one of her witch handlers regenerates to find that the Valkyria’s attack severed her beacon …
