The after the Late Break program has been decided, thanks the the 21 valid votes from last session. Please welcome “Knights of Sidonia” and “Brynhildr in the Darkness” as regular items in JAFWA’s program starting in July.

As we found out last time the weather is getting a tad chilly and the JAFWA heaters could not keep up. Remember to rug up, and bring extra warm bodies.

Synopsis

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “The One Thing I Couldn’t Say“

Juvia manages to overcome Meldy’s life-link magic and her suicidal conviction, saving the lives of herself, Meldy and Grey. Just in time as well since Ultear doubled back to confront Grey, although her reaction upon meeting him is unexpected. But there is worse trouble. With the defeat of Meldy over half of the Seven Kin of Purgatory have fallen and now Bluenote, the second in command of Grimoire Heart, has entered the battle. But his only concern is the location of the grave of Fairy Tail’s founder, Mavis. The grave that Cana has just now located…

Gin no Saji, Season Two (Silver Spoon), Season Two

Life continues at Ooeno Agricultural School for city boy Hachiken. As the current crop of seniors prepare to move into the work force, more club responsibilities are passed on to the younger students. But in the midst of all the club activities, delicious food and good friends, Hachiken discovers that slaughtering animals might not be the only troubling aspect of farm life.

Tonight’s Episode: “Hachiken Adopts Vice-Prez“

Having inadvertently noticed Aki and Komaba having a private, and clearly distressing, conversation. And seeing the effect it had on Aki’s focus and concentration in her club activities, Hachiken can’t help but worry. Even after being told it’s not his concern. But for now final exams over and it’s time for another campus clean-up. With so much land, and locals apparently unconcerned with littering, there’s quite a bit to pick up. Although some of what’s been thrown out may be going just a bit too far …

Soul Eater Not!

DWMA (Death Weapon Meister Academy) is the place to go if you find that you are able the change into a weapon and need to master your newfound ability. Which is how Harudori Tsugumi finds herself in the United States, as part of the new class of students at the academy. Here she will learn to control her power and team up with one of the meisters (Students training to wield Death Weapons). However, she can’t quite make her mind up about which one to team up with.

Tonight’s Episode: “Girl’s Dorm a la Carte“

With their finances secure thanks to part time jobs, the girls are appreciating the vast array of different foods available at the DWMA cafeteria when Eternal Feather appears to apologise. Apparently the witch of the girl’s dorm is not the crazy dorm mistress but the pink haired girl that stopped her, and her name is Kim Diehl. When she first arrived at school her cute appearance got everyone’s attention, but over time her bad attitude drove them away and she changed her appearance. But even now the memory of her old look seems to taunt her.

Movie – Kappa no Coo to Natsuyasumi (Summer Days with Coo)

Coo is a young Kappa in the feudal era of Japan. in the midst of his father’s negotiations for land for the Kappas, an earthquake leaves him trapped underground. 200 years later a schoolboy rescues Coo from his earthen prison and brings him into his family, where the youngster must come to terms with the drastic changes from the world he was growing up in whilst searching for any other survivors of his kind.

Tonight’s Episode: “An Account of a Trip to the Hot Springs“

A furry-eared girl runs through the woods seeking to outpace her pursuers. Although she takes a wrong turn off a cliff, her fall brings her face to face with Izayoi, Asuka and Kasukabe. It seems that word of their defeat of the Demon Lord Pest has not spread very far as the gang chasing this girl are unimpressed by the title ‘No Name Community’. But a quick introduction to Asuka’s golem Deen, and a similar display of Kasukabe’s and Izayoi’s power soon sorts them out. Now there’s time to find out who they and the mysterious girl are, and why she was being chased in the first place.

Kill la Kill

Ryuko Matoi is a girl on a mission; to find the person responsible for her father’s death. Her search has led her to Honnouji Academy, a brutal, totalitarian school where the student council, led by Satsuki Kiryuin and empowered by their Ultima Uniforms, rule over everyone else. Ryuko quickly finds herself at odds with Satsuki’s dictatorship, but aid comes to Ryuko both from unexpected allies within the school … and a set of skimpy talking clothes.

Tonight’s Episode: “Ride Like the Wind“

Concern for her friends got Ryuuko back on her feet but fear of another beserk frenzy dulled her skills, allowing Nui to cut Senketsu to pieces. Satsuki stopped the Grand Couturier from killing the unconscious Ryuuko, and distributed the pieces of Senketsu amongst her troops. The Battlefield Trip has begun, with Mako conscripted as punishment for getting mixed up in Nui’s infiltration of the Academy. For Ryuuko, awakening in Mikisugi’s room yet again, it’s time to recover the pieces of Senketsu. For Mikisugi it’s time to drop his disguise and rejoin his comrades in Nudist Beach.
