Synopsis

Nodame Cantabile: Finale

Nodame, Chiaki and their friends continue their careers in the world of music; Chiaki striving for greatness as a conductor, and Nodame striving to equal his talent so as not to be left behind. Chiaki is now a professional conductor, and Nodame is attending an elite musical school in France. For Chiaki his professional life has begun, for Nodame the moment of truth is fast approaching.

Tonight’s Episode: “Lesson 6“

Nodame has found the perfect musical piece for she and Chiaki to perform together in concert. Revel’s Piano Concerto in G major. There’s only one problem, Chiaki is already scheduled to perform that piece with Rui. Although he understands on a rational level that this should not be a big deal, he can’t forget just how excited Chiaki was when she first told him. In any case, he leaves for Italy in two days, so he needs to resolve this soon. Unfortunately for him, Li Yun has accidentally revealed the news to Nodame already.

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “Who’s the One with the Good Luck?“

The Port Town of Hargeon, from here the candidates set forth for the island of Tenroujima and the S-Class Exam. There are eight competitors, each with a chosen partner, but only one will make the grade. Their first challenge is the weather, the area around Tenroujima is blisteringly hot all year round. Some handle it better than others. And of course a vehicle means misery for Natsu no matter what the weather. Eventually Tenroujima is sighted, an island with a mighty tree in its centre, so vast it’s canopy is as broad as the island it stands on.

Preview – Natsuiro Kiseki (Summer Colours)

Saki, Yuka, Natsumi and Rin, all friends from middle school, were seeing their bonds of friendship begin to break apart in high school. Until they remembered an old promise they had made at a wishing stone behind Rin’s temple. Now they have until the end of summer vacation to rebuild their friendship and make their dreams come true.

Tonight’s Episode: “Our 11th Summer Vacation“

Gathered around a large round stone behind Rin’s temple, Saki, Yuka, Natsumi and Rin place their hands upon its surface in order to make their wish. Natsumi remembers when they did this back in middle school, how Saki was the last to put her hands on the stone back then as well. Natsumi has been getting up early for practice with the Tennis club, but recently Saki has stopped attending the club’s practice sessions. Indeed she seems to want nothing to do with Natsumi altogether.

Preview – Uchouten Kazoku (The Eccentric Family)

Humanity is not the only power in the world. The Tengu are lords of the sky and the Tanuki are masters of deception. Within the city of Kyoto all three rub shoulders, with most humans totally unaware of the other two powers in their midst. Yasaburo, third son of the Shimogamo tanuki family, has his paws in all three groups. But his main objective in life is simply to avoid boredom.

Tonight’s Episode: “Goddess of the Noryo-Yuka“

Shimogamo Yasoburo, one of the more carefree and reckless Tanuki of the city of Kyoto, is on his way to visit Professor Akadama. The cranky old Tengu being both his former tutor and a friend of the Shimogamo family. He gets chased down by his uptight older brother Yaichiro, who is running for election as the Nise-emon (the leader of Tanuki society) and does not want his brother embarrassing him. Yasoburo, for his part, could not care less about Tanuki traditions and standards. Which is why he has been wandering the city in the form of a schoolgirl.

Hataraku Maou-sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer)

Having been thwarted in his attempts to conquer Ente Isla, the mighty demon lord Satan escapes through a portal with his general Alsiel… And winds up in modern day Tokyo with very little magical power left. His resources for world domination now consist of a tiny rented apartment and a job at a fast food restaurant.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Hero Learns The True Meaning of “Lover’s Quarrel”“

Emilia, her work colleague Rika, and Suzuno have arrived at Hatagaya. The Tanabata festival has brought crowds but MgRonalds is feeling the effects of their new competitor. Rika is still convinced Emilia has feelings for Mao and is worried the lack of customers could effect their confrontation, so she proposes a strategy meeting in Sentucky Fired Chicken first. Emilia wants to correct Rika’s misunderstanding, but can’t reveal the truth to her friend. Or allow Suzuno to do it accidentally. Then, of all the people to run into, they find Ashiya is also in the store.

Suisei no Gargantia (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet)

Galactic Alliance soldier Ledo faces a huge change in lifestyle and outlook when he is separated from his comrades and forced to make his way aboard the Gargantia, a floating city greatly removed from both the technology and the concerns of his home.

Tonight’s Episode: “Island of Ambition“

Pinion’s fleet has arrived at an ancient rig in the centre of the whalesquid nesting area. The sea about them is red with blood and littered with hideauze corpses. Chamber makes a splashy return from the ocean floor and informs Pinion that all the hideauze in the area have been eliminated. Overjoyed by the news Pinion orders salvage operations to begin. Ledo, however, is not so happy. He has seen video evidence of the hideauze’s human origins and it has shaken him, as he steps from the cockpit he finds Chamber’s hull still slick with the blood and flesh of those he murdered.

Sword Art Online

VR technology has made full-immersion video games possible, and the latest and greatest is Sword Art Online. But the players who logged in on the first day find that logging back out may be a lot harder, and the challenges of the game more than they bargained for.

Tonight’s Episode: “Grand Quest“

Yui has picked up Asuna’s player ID somewhere in the World Tree. Without a moment’s hesitation, Kirito takes off in a vertical ascent. Chasing after him, Leafa tries to warn Kirito before he runs into the barrier around the tree but is too late. Kirito quickly recovers and slams into the invisible barricade again, trying to force his way through. Asuna, meanwhile, is back in her gilded cage. As she sits, face down on the table in front of her, she hears Yui’s voice calling out to her. She looks about frantically for something to throw down to Yui and Kirito …

Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)

The entirety of mankind lives encased within a series of fortified walls which protect them from the Titans. giant humanoid monsters who devour people, that roam the world beyond the outer wall. But now, after nearly a hundred years of relative safety, new Titans have appeared.The security of the walls is a thing of the past, and mankind may be facing extinction.

Not a day out from the wall disaster has struck the Survey Corp. A female titan has assaulted their formation, and Armin is certain it’s another human-controlled titan like Eren. Jean is outmanoeuvred and only saved by Armin’s quick thinking (and shouting), and Reiner is forced to cut his way out of her closed fist. Once they retreat she loses all interest in them but Armin is not happy, because she now seems to be making straight for Eren at the centre of the formation. However he, Jean and Reiner have a more immediate problem, they only have one horse left between the three of them…

Psycho-Pass

In a future where the psychological profiling system Sybil determines your place in society, or your removal for the good of society, new police force recruit Akane Tsunemori finds herself facing both the challenge of catching madmen loose in society, and of working alongside those deemed half mad already. All the while dealing with the consequences of a society that will lock you up or kill you for thinking bad thoughts…

Tonight’s Episode: “Transparent Shadow“

In one of Nobuchika’s old safehouses, Kougami practices loading and reloading the former detective’s old service revolver. That done, he dons one of the Psycho-Pass blocking helmets, borrows Nobuchika’s motorbike, and heads out onto the freeway. Ginoza’s Pycho-Pass continues to worsen, his therapist warning him it’s on the verge of making him a latent criminal. He can’t help but laugh at how similar his situation now is to Kougami during the Specimen Case. Meanwhile Kougami has gone to visit his mentor Saiga to get some help in figuring out Makishima’s next move
