Synopsis

Hyouka

Unable to say no to his elder sister, Oreki Hotaro joins his school’s Classic Literature Club to prevent it from being shut down. And despite his earnest desire to avoid expending any energy at all, the other members of the club will drag him along on all manner of mysteries. Making good use of the deductive skills he refuses to believe he possesses.

Tonight’s Episodes: “The Homemade Chocolates Case” & “Chicks on a Detour“

After a bad Valentine’s Day incident in their last year in middle school Mayaka is determined that this year Satoshi will accept her chocolates, whether he likes it or not. His “homemade only” excuse won’t cut it this time as she is starting from raw cocoa beans. Chitanda offers to show her to a store that sells ingredients for making confectionary. Hotaro meanwhile is sworn to secrecy. On the way home he bumps into Satoshi at the local arcade, a place Hotaro hasn’t been since middle school, and after a quick game he notices that Satoshi has changed since then.

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “Those Who Are Alive“

Although the two Erza’s have again peeled off from the main battle to duel each other, the rest of Earthland Fairy Tail has been grounded and most of the Exceed have been converted to Lacrima by the power-hungry Edolas army. Now Grey, Lucy and the others are surrounded. But the army’s attacks are focused solely on Happy and Carla, it seems they are the only Exceed left. Meanwhile, news of the Kings plans have reached the Edolas Fairy Tail guild, and Lucy is trying to convince the rest of the guild to join the fight.

Uchyuu Kyoudai (Space Brothers)

As kids Mutta and Hibito Nanba made a promise, that they would both become astronauts. 19 years later Hibito is on the verge of fulfilling that promise but Mutta is not doing nearly so well, that is until he is accepted into Japan’s astronaut training program.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Day Before Goodbye“

There are just two more days inside the sealed chambers, two more days in which Mutta has to embarrass himself by making sudden loud noises in front of the rest of his team, but for the most part things have calmed down and everyone is less stressed. Kenji and the rest of team B are enjoying a pleasant moment flipping through Teshima’s artwork, which depicts theoretical life forms on other planets. The possibilities that a different planet represents have always interested Teshima.

Hataraku Maou-sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer)

Having been thwarted in his attempts to conquer Ente Isla, the mighty demon lord Satan escapes through a portal with his general Alsiel… And winds up in modern day Tokyo with very little magical power left. His resources for world domination now consist of a tiny rented apartment and a job at a fast food restaurant.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Dark Lord and the Hero Save Sasazuka“

The shadowy attacker has finally revealed himself in a most spectacular fashion. It is Lucifer, fallen angel and one of Mao’s four generals, whom Emilia personally dueled and supposedly killed back in Ente Isla. As Emilia’s allies from Ente Isla rush through their own Gate to join her, Lucifer’s plans are revealed. He has teamed up with Archbishop Orba Meier, one of Emilia’s former allies, and in exchange for reinstatement in heaven will help him kill both Mao and Emilia.

Suisei no Gargantia (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet)

Galactic Alliance soldier Ledo faces a huge change in lifestyle and outlook when he is separated from his comrades and forced to make his way aboard the Gargantia, a floating city greatly removed from both the technology and the concerns of his home.

Tonight’s Episode: “Carnival“

Ledo is counting his earnings, and the amount he has been given seems too much. Oxygen does not need to be rationed on a planet, so apart from food what else could there be to buy? Luckily Amy has arrived to fill him in, there is a carnival coming up. They’ve found a good spot for fishing, which means lots of fish to catch and a celebration afterwards. The lightbugs, the ancient nanomachines that provide power for the ships, occasionally gather into a vast circle, entrapping schools of fish. Ledo decides to try out as a fisherman, this time working without Chamber..

Sword Art Online

VR technology has made full-immersion video games possible, and the latest and greatest is Sword Art Online. But the players who logged in on the first day find that logging back out may be a lot harder, and the challenges of the game more than they bargained for.

Tonight’s Episode: “To the World Tree“

Suguha lies on her bed reminiscing about her entrance into the world of VR games. At first they were just the thing that had taken her brother away, but then she became curious about these worlds that had so enthralled Kazuto. The next day at school she is confronted by Nagata, a schoolmate who is also a fellow VR gamer. He wanted to pass on an invite to join their regular group in Alfheim Online, but Suguha has other plans.

Shin Sekai Yori (From the New World)

A thousand years into the future all mankind possesses psychic powers, and the people live in idyllic splendor. But the path that led to this tranquil life was not so perfect, and the world that Saki and her friends live in may not be as gentle and pleasant as it seems.

Tonight’s Episode: “Drenched in Cold Sunlight“

Saki and Satoru have managed to escape the hospital via the canal. But another boat is following them, and Satoru is certain it’s the Fiend. Saki’s mind is reeling, the uncertainty of how things got this bad, combined with the realization that she left the others at the hospital to die is shaking her resolve. Satoru calms her down, and together they concieve of a plan to get out of their boat and leave the canal without being seen by their pursuer.

Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)

The entirety of mankind lives encased within a series of fortified walls which protect them from the Titans. giant humanoid monsters who devour people, that roam the world beyond the outer wall. But now, after nearly a hundred years of relative safety, new Titans have appeared.The security of the walls is a thing of the past, and mankind may be facing extinction.

Tonight’s Episode: “Wound: The Battle of Trost – Part 8“

The plan to recapture Trost has commenced, and Eren, Mikasa and Commander Pixis’ personal elites have reached the massive boulder Eren must carry to the broken gate. However things have gone awry almost immediately. Eren’s titan form has gone beserk, throwing punches at Mikasa. The rest of the army has led the Titans already in Trost away from the gate, to minimise opposition to Eren and his guards. But despite their best efforts they have still suffered significant casualties. Commander Pixis holds himself personally responsible for their deaths.

Psycho-Pass

In a future where the psychological profiling system Sybil determines your place in society, or your removal for the good of society, new police force recruit Akane Tsunemori finds herself facing both the challenge of catching madmen loose in society, and of working alongside those deemed half mad already. All the while dealing with the consequences of a society that will lock you up or kill you for thinking bad thoughts…

Tonight’s Episode: “Invitation from the Abyss“

Ginoza’s therapist has bad news for him, his crime co-efficient has increased again. The therapeutic methods he uses to manage his stress levels are not working. His therapists suggests talking with someone he is close to instead. Such as a family member. But the only close family Ginoza has left is his father. After that its time for a meeting with the Bureau Chief. She questions Akane’s testimony about Makishima Shougo, that the Dominator could not identify him as a latent criminal even as he killed Yuki before her very eyes. If true it shakes the foundations of the entire Sybil System.
