Geek Swap Mart

Before the JAFWA screening shall be the gold-coin entry Geek Swap Mart between 1PM and 4PM (sellers enter at 12:30, leave by 4:30). All tables for Sellers have now been sold.

The tentative JAFWA program for Saturday 31st August 2013 is below. To be
held in the Collins Street Community Center on Collins Street just off Canning
Highway in South Perth.

We will be having an early Dinner Break to accomodate the movie of the night. Fresh cooked popcorn is planned.

Synopsis

Rozen Maiden: Zurückspulen

When he answers the question in a mysterious letter, Jun Sakurada is plunged into the Alice Game, a contest between living dolls known as the Rozen Maidens which were created to battle each other until one emerges triumphant and in so doing transforms into “Alice”, a girl of great beauty and purity.

Tonight’s Episode: “Tale 1”

A rabbit in a fine tuxedo, a typed letter sealed with wax. The letter comes to rest on the bedroom floor of one Sakurada Jun. When he awakens Jun opens the letter to find a single, perplexing question; “Will you wind it? Will you not wind it?” He chooses “Wind it”, and that evening his sister finds an ornate box waiting for him on their doorstep. Within the box is an exquisitely crafted doll, and a small gold key with which to wind it …

Haruka Nanase and Rin Matsuoka were the stars of their middle school swimming club, leading it to victory in a four-man relay race. But now, in high school, they have gone their separate ways (and to separate schools) and Haruka has lost interest in competitive swimming. That is, until Rin reappears …

Tonight’s Episode: “Starting Block of Reunions!”

Haruka, Makoto and Nagisa met Rin when he transferred into their middle school, raced Haruka in the pool and immediately proposed they take part in a competitive relay. But even then Haruka wasn’t interested in times or competitions, or any stroke other than freestyle. He just loved swimming.
