Synopsis

Hyouka

Unable to say no to his elder sister, Oreki Hotaro joins his school’s
Classic Literature Club to prevent it from being shut down. And despite his
earnest desire to avoid expending any energy at all, the other members of the
club will drag him along on all manner of mysteries. Making good use of the
deductive skills he refuses to believe he possesses.

Chitanda is finishing up her interview at the media club with a lure for Juumanji, expressing her confidence that they will catch the thief and offering a completed copy of the Hyouka anthology as the object to be stolen. The club’s room is packed with people, and the anthologies are selling out fast. But then, just as the assembled crowds begin to doubt if Juumonji will show up, indeed begin to wonder if the entire thing wasn’t just a stunt by the Classics Club themselves, the manuscript set out as bait for the thief bursts into flames. Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous
mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the
residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of
course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having
fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Boy Back Then”

Erza’s gambit has failed and the Dragon Chain Cannon has launched the giant Fairy Tail Lacrima at Extalia, home of the Exceeds. Word of the impending disaster has been relayed to Queen Chagot and she commands that Wendy and Carla, who are still trying to warn the Exceed to flee, be brought to her. At the same time Lucy, Natsu and the others are flying to the unrushing Lacrima, and its unwilling passengers Gajeel, Happy and Pantherlilly, in order to intercept and stop it.

Uchyuu Kyoudai (Space Brothers)

As kids Muta and Hibito Nanba made a promise, that they would both become
astronauts. 19 years later Hibito is on the verge of fulfilling that promise
but Muta is not doing nearly so well, that is until he is accepted into the
astronaut training program.

Makabe has taken his shift listening for the mysterious nightly alarm and found the sound to be coming from beneath the floor. In the control room Hoshida is showing Director Nasuda the stress levels of the applicants, and Nasuda is eager to see how they deal with “the green ones”. Meanwhile Mutta is still trying to make sense of Fukuda’s enigmatic answer to why he broke the clock, and now the late night alarm has begun in Team A’s chamber as well.

Hataraku Maou Sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer)

Having been thwarted in his attempts to conquer Ente Isla, the mighty demon
lord Satan escapes through a portal with his general Alsiel… And winds up in
modern day Tokyo with very little magical power left. His resources for world
domination now consist of a tiny rented apartment and a job at a fast food
restaurant.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Dark Lord Goes On a Date With His Colleague in Shinjuku”

Emilia has returned home, leaving a gift of food in thanks. Something Mao and Ashiya note as appropriately hero-like. For Emilia, the very memory of being in the Dark Lord’s debt, even for a moment, is too humiliating to think about. As she relaxes at home, Emilia sees the attack on her and Mao has made it onto the news. The news is also on in Chiho’s house, but her attention is on something else. She’s asked Mao to meet her today. She knows there will be an earthquake, although she can’t say how, and wants to discuss it with him …. Also, she wants to go on a date.

Suisei no Gargantia (Gargantia on the Verdurous
Planet)

Galactic Alliance soldier Ledo faces a huge change in lifestyle and outlook
when he is separated from his comrades and forced to make his way aboard the
Gargantia, a floating city greatly removed from both the technology and the
concerns of his home.

Tonight’s Episode: “Flute of Memories”

Gargantia is connecting another vessel to its fleet, the same vessel that warned them of the impending pirate attack. There is equipment and supplies to move about and Ledo is trying to help, but Chamber’s anti-gravity propulsion system is making things harder rather than easier. Although he is not being charged for food or the cargo cost for Chamber until he is an official resident, Ledo is expected to pay for the damage Chamber caused from bursting out of the cargo hold. As such, he needs to find work that he can do.

Sword Art Online

VR technology has made full-immersion video games possible, and the latest
and greatest is Sword Art Online. But the players who logged in on the first
day find that logging back out may be a lot harder, and the challenges of the
game more than they bargained for.

In the Dicey Café, Kazuto visits Agil. The screenshot he sent Kazuto was from a game called Alfheim Online (ALO for short), the successor to Sword Art Online. The game’s popularity derives from the fact that characters in Alfheim (meaning “Land of the Fairies”) have wings, and thus with practice players can fly. It has been some time since Maria and Mamoru dissapeared. Saki, now 26, works in the Department of Exospecies Control. In the midst of her duties she receives a surprise visit from Satoru, he wants to know if any of the Queerat colonies are at war. Since none have made a formal request at the village, Saki concludes that they are not. However some members of the Spider Wasp colony, who were assisting Satoru with collecting mould samples, were attacked without warning. Saki finds it even more surprising since the Spider Wasps are close allies of the Giant Hornets, the strongest colony in the area.

Tonight’s Episode: “Methuselah’s Game”

It is 3:20AM and Akane is awakened by her mobile phone. It’s a message from her friend Yuki, saying she has information that may relate to a case the Bureau is investigating and asking Akane to meet her in person. A short while later Akane and Kougami are driving to the location in the email, whilst Akane speaks to Yuki’s parents. Relaying that Kaori, her other friend, has not been able to reach Yuki since yesterday. Clearly something is up. The location in question is an abandoned and run-down section of town. Now Kougami is convinced it is a trap.
