Synopsis

Hyouka

Unable to say no to his elder sister, Oreki Hotaro joins his school’s
Classic Literature Club to prevent it from being shut down. And despite his
earnest desire to avoid expending any energy at all, the other members of the
club will drag him along on all manner of mysteries. Making good use of the
deductive skills he refuses to believe he possesses.

Tonight’s Episode: “Wild Fire”

Mayaka has been unable to track down the manga “A Corpse by Midnight”, for
the other club members she was debating. To her surprise the response is not
derision, but simply a request to help out with posters advertising the club’s
activities. Unfortunately this will make her late for the cooking contest the
Classics Club is participating in. Satoshi and Chitanda will take the first two
rounds of the contest, then Mayaka just needs to make it in time for the third
round. In the meantime Satoshi checks in with the Executive Committee, and
mentions a strange theft from the Go Club, only to learn that something similar
happened to the A Capella Club. There may be more to this than random
coincidence …

Fairy Tail

Magic and mayhem in the nation of Fiore. The members of the infamous
mage’s guild Fairy Tail spend their days sorting out problems for the
residents of Magnolia and battling the odd apocalyptic demon or dark guild. Of
course they don’t let little things like that get in the way of having
fun.

Tonight’s Episode: “It’s Life !!!!”

Having split from the others, Natsu, Lucy and Grey head in search of the
king of Edolas. However, instead of the king they have found his Amusement
Park. Waiting for them within are two of the captains of the royal guard. With
the power they have already extracted from Natsu and Wendy, and the giant
lacrima made from the rest of Fairy Tail set to smash into the Exceed homeland,
they have no further need of any of them. It’s time to tie up the loose ends
…

Uchyuu Kyoudai (Space Brothers)

As kids Muta and Hibito Nanba made a promise, that they would both become
astronauts. 19 years later Hibito is on the verge of fulfilling that promise
but Muta is not doing nearly so well, that is until he is accepted into the
astronaut training program.

Tonight’s Episode: “Broken Glasses and the Sole of the Foot”

Mutta and his companions are relaxing in between tests. Mutta and Furuya are
betting their puddings in a contest to try and make each other laugh by pulling
faces. When Fukudo joins them, they discover that the eldest member of their
team is a master of the game. For Fukudo the game brings back memories.
Fourteen years ago he was part of the team building a space rocket, the tight
schedule drove him away from his wife and child but it was his wish that his
daughter Ryoko should see the finished rocket.

Hanasaku Iroha

After Ohana’s mother and boyfriend run away to escape debtors, leaving her
behind, she moves into Kissuiso, the inn run by her grandmother Sui. Here she
discovers a world very different to the one she grew up in as the learns the
ins and outs of working at an inn and comes to know the people she now lives
and works alongside.

Tonight’s Episode: “To Bloom One Day” (Finale)

Everyone has arrived at the Bonbori Festival. There are people from all over
the precinct and beyond come to see the lights and enjoy the atmosphere, in
fact Ohana receives a text message from Ko that he has just arrived. The
festival celebrates the return of the kami of the local temple, the lights
showing her the way up the mountainside, and in return she takes the people’s
wishes with her. But what has everyone wished for?

Hataraku Maou Sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer)

Having been thwarted in his attempts to conquer Ente Isla, the mighty demon
lord Satan escapes through a portal with his general Alsiel… And winds up in
modern day Tokyo with very little magical power left. His resources for world
domination now consist of a tiny rented apartment and a job at a fast food
restaurant.

Tonight’s Episode: “Devil King, Standing in Sasazuka”

On the mighty island Ente Isla, a land protected by the gods, the people
live in fear of the Overlord Satan. His armies have laid waste to the
surrounding lands in a war of conquest. But his forces have been pushed back by
a mighty hero and the combined armies of humanity. Defending his castle
stronghold with only one of his four generals left, Satan chooses retreat
before the forces arrayed against him. Promising his enemies that he and Alsiel
will return to reclaim what they have lost… Before materializing in a dark
alleyway in modern day Tokyo, to find that their magic is gone, noone
understands them, and their majestic demon forms have been reduced to that of
mere mortals.

Suisei no Gargantia (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet)

Galactic Alliance soldier Ledo faces a huge change in lifestyle and outlook
when he is separated from his comrades and forced to make his way aboard the
Gargantia, a floating city greatly removed from both the technology and the
concerns of his home.

Tonight’s Episode: “The Planet of the Beginning”

Chamber has identified their current location as Earth, leaving Ledo
stunned. As the locals gather more armaments, Ledo overrides Chamber’s
suggestion of a preemptive strike and tries instead to assure them he means no
harm. Ridget, the fleet’s representative, steps forward. There are srurprises
for both sides and the initial negotiations do not go well. Ledo and Chamber
are cordoned off on the section of the ship they fled to. Ridget later calls a
meeting, Amy has had the most contact with the strange newcomer and she wants
her opinion of him.

Sword Art Online

VR technology has made full-immersion video games possible, and the latest
and greatest is Sword Art Online. But the players who logged in on the first
day find that logging back out may be a lot harder, and the challenges of the
game more than they bargained for.

Tonight’s Episode: “The End of the World”

The battle with the Skull Reaper is in full swing. The monster able to slay
players with a single hit. As they struggle against it Heathcliff notices a
change in its behaviour and orders an all out assault. The tactic works and
with everyone hammering away the Skull Reaper finally goes down. The victory,
however, is not without loss. Skull Reaper took fourteen players with it before
dieing. As they rest after the battle, reflecting on the fact that there are
still 25 floors with even harder bosses yet to face, Kirito notices that only
Heathcliff is still standing. Then he recalls something from their duel.
Quielty, he picks up his sword and tenses himself to rush at Heathcliff …

Shin Sekai Yori (From the New World)

A thousand years into the future all mankind possesses psychic powers, and
the people live in idyllic splendor. But the path that led to this tranquil
life was not so perfect, and the world that Saki and her friends live in may
not be as gentle and pleasant as it seems.

Tonight’s Episode: “Flakes of Snow”

Now that they have found Mamoru alive and well, and learned why he fled,
Satoru heads back to the village. Despite his assurances that he can fast- talk
his way past the adults Saki sets off after him. Leaving just Maria to stay
with Mamoru. But not before telling them not to do anything rash. Upon arriving
back in the village, Saki’s parents are there to greet her and inform her that
the Board of Education wants to speak with her. The meeting is about the
dissapearance of Mamoru, and the board presses Saki for answers relentlessly
…

Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)

The entirety of mankind lives encased within a series of fortified walls
which protect them from the Titans. giant humanoid monsters who devour people,
that roam the world beyond the outer wall. But now, after nearly a hundred
years of relative safety, new Titans have appeared.The security of the walls is
a thing of the past, and mankind may be facing extinction.

Tonight’s Episode: “The World in a Little Girl’s Eyes: Battle of Trost – Part 2”

It is Connie Springer who finds the shellshocked Armin and tries to shake
him out of his catatonic state. However questions about the rest of his squad
trigger fleshbacks and screams. Connie’s squad leader stops further painful
questions by stating the obvious, the others are all dead. Armin manages to at
least look calm as he apologises for being a burden and heads off to join the
rear guard, leaving Connie and his squad to continue to advance. Armin
meanwhile gazes at the bloodstained streets as he swings over them and reflects
on the horror surrounding him.

Psycho-Pass

In a future where the psychological profiling system Sybil determines your
place in society, or your removal for the good of society, new police force
recruit Akane Tsunemori finds herself facing both the challenge of catching
madmen loose in society, and of working alongside those deemed half mad
already. All the while dealing with the consequences of a society that will
lock you up or kill you for thinking bad thoughts…

Tonight’s Episode: “Symbolism of Bletilla Striata”

Ouryou Richi lies in a vegetative state in hospital. The nurse assures
Ouryou’s daughter that her unresponive father is happy she came to see him. She
however, secretly thinks differently. To her the entire complex and everything
in it is sick, a symptom of the current serene state of Japanese society. The
police, meawhile, have found their first example of young miss Ouryou’s
‘artwork’. Akane is seeing similarities between this and the unsolved ‘Specimin
Case’ that deteriorated Kougami’s mental state and made him an Enforcer instead
of a Detective.
